Max Trescott is President of Glass Cockpit Publishing and founder of the Aviation Podcast Network. A cohost of the Airplane Geeks podcast since 2015, he also hosts Aviation News Talk, a leading general aviation and safety podcast that consistently ranks among the top aviation shows. Max was named the 2008 National CFI of the Year, representing 96,000 U.S. flight instructors. He holds Airline Transport Pilot certificates in all airplane categories and classes and is also a commercial helicopter pilot.
Max has authored three books on the Garmin G1000, G3000, and GPS/WAAS systems, and offers G1000 online courses at PilotLearning.com. He’s trained in accident investigation at USC and writes a monthly column for FLYING magazine. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Max is a Cirrus Platinum CSIP instructor specializing in Cirrus Aircraft, including the SF50 Vision Jet.

Rob Mark is a 35-year aviation industry veteran and the founder of CommAvia, which has been delivering cutting-edge media content for the global aviation community since 1996. A former senior editor at Flying magazine and editor at AIN Safety, Rob has twice won the prestigious Airbus Aerospace Journalist of the Year award. His writing has been featured in AOPA Pilot, Air Line Pilot, Air & Space, and The Chicago Tribune.
An Airline Transport Pilot with nearly 7,000 flying hours, Rob is type-rated in multiple business jets and has flown everything from training aircraft to the Airbus A380. He also spent 10 years as an FAA air traffic controller.
Rob edits the award-winning blog Jetwhine.com and co-hosts the Airplane Geeks and NTSB News Talk podcasts. He frequently appears as an aviation news analyst for major TV and radio outlets. He lives with his family in Evanston, Illinois.
