Muchos se han sentido, en algún momento, mal por no poder ayudar en el sufrimiento de otros. A esto se le llama 'Fatiga por compasión', ¿cómo enfrentarla? Hoy te comparto mis conclusiones.

00 Or why the affective relationships I have are not stable. I like assertiveness because it invites us to prudence that what should motivate our word is always love is you and that is already the basis to go out, to conquer many goals, to fight, to give a better version and enjoy life fully. You know, I firmly believe that compassion is the most important spiritual emotion. When I review all religious experiences, I always find an invitation to compassion, that is, to suffer, to suffer with the other, but not to celebrate, but not as a spectator, but to help that person no longer suffer, so that that person can succeed. Compassion is always an emotion that mobilizes us to help others. I insist, no one can say that it is spiritual if he lives indifferent to the other, especially to the one who suffers
34 at his side. That' s what I' ve been trying to live in my daily life. I have to say that I constantly move to help others and try to generate processes that allow life to be fairer and that there are better conditions for everyone. However, I often find myself faced with limitation and tiredness, the limitation of not being able to help all those who ask me for help, all those who write to me, all those who ask me for an action or something, but also tired, because sometimes I feel too much pain in my heart and I have no way to get it out or how to process it in the best way. So, these days I was investigating and I came across that expression or that concept of compassion fatigue, which is a state of emotional exhaustion that affects people who care for or are regularly exposed to the suffering of others. This so- called compassion fatigue is characterized by that feeling of being overwhelmed, of being emotionally drained. It'
12 s as if the compassionate energy has been exhausted. If you investigate, you find that health professionals, social workers, caregivers, people who have experienced traumatic situations are likely to suffer this fatigue from compassion. Of course, their hearts are filled with sadness, anxiety. They become irritable, apathetic, sometimes they generate guilt and even hopelessness. They also have insomnia fatigue, headaches to digestive problems. They are the ways like these people exposed for so long to the suffering of others and who demand how to help. Feel this stress, feel this difficult moment. The question I' ve been asking myself is how I deal with that emotion and have two strong conclusions born of spiritual experience. First of all, I can' t feel guilty about not being able to help
43 everyone. I can' t feel guilty about feeling the compassionate energy is running out. Let' s not let guilt make us sicker. We have insisted from so far on different reflections that guilt fulfills your role in our personal growth. But it can' t grow and it can' t be constant, because it doesn' t get sick, it binds us, it doesn' t bleed. You can' t feel guilty that you can' t help each other, that you can' t do something for the other you can ' t. But besides that and this is very important, you can' t be ashamed either. Yes, some people are ashamed because they can' t help, because they can' t help, because they' re out of the resource they had. And of course, you can' t let me manipulate you with guilt, me with shame for not helping. That' s fundamental. For me. Spiritual experience is a source of freedom, of health, of peace more and drives us to be better human beings. Now what other things to do, of course, is to take care of ourselves first. I have also insisted on these reflections that it is essential that people
18 take care that self- care is the first responsibility we have, that we cannot take care of others if we do not take care of ourselves. And I' m talking about physical care, I' m talking about emotional care, I' m talking about spiritual care. It is also important to set limits, say no to additional requests and set clear limits between personal life and working life. Sometimes I don' t know if it happened to you. One encounters people who ask for a pound of money one and as one does not have it or cannot give it they look at it with an accusing attitude or almost claim it and tell it clearly how I do not have your privileges.
15 Since I don' t have what you have and don' t and you don' t have to say no limits now. The third thing is to practice self- pity, because it makes no sense for me to be compassionate to others, without being compassionate to myself, without trying to generate conditions in which I can realize myself, in which I can live peacefully fully. Hey, that' s fundamental, that' s necessary, and in some cases you have to look for support, that is, talk to friends, family, coworkers, and tell the experiences, the emotions we' re living.
05 That helps, those catharses are important in life. You have to seek professional help, but it is important that you know today that there is what is called compassion fatigue and that you are not a bad person for experiencing it or for experiencing it. And this happens to all of us, to me, that I have spiritual leadership, some parents in front of the constant help that children demand from some caregivers of people who love and are sick. They are more everyday experiences than we imagine and it is opportune to be clear.
54 Listen, it' s important that you remember that compassion fatigue is not a sign of weakness. It is a natural consequence of caring for others. If you think you may be suffering from compassion fatigue, it' s important that you generate ways to get ahead. Thank you for being there and thank you for sharing this moment with me.
