My favorite podcast
My favorite episodes are with Bill Hader, Taylor Tomlinson and Jack Antanoff
Very good
Mike Birbiglia is a master of his craft and it is a wonderful time listening to his, and other comics process of writing and shaping jokes.
Good listen.
“Same” -Mike Birbiglia
An Inside Look
Absolutely fascinating to listen to comics and writers discuss their process. Plus it’s really funny!
I love Mike
Keep up the good work.
Smart and funny
I listen to a lot of podcast, and this is this smartest and funniest thing out there.

Love it.
Full of great comedians and thoughtful, funny, and creative inspiration
Judd Apatow
About 5 years ago (before Twitter got so very mean that I had to quit it) I kept seeing Judd Apatow on my twitter feed. His his tweets were so clever and so charming that I looked forward to them. One day I wrote him something I hoped would pass for witty, and he wrote me back! That moment still makes me smile! Loved this episode so much.
Love the give and take, honesty and emotional connection
Perfect antidote for feeling overwhelmed by political news I have been introduced to new comedians thru this podcast: Sarah Millican and jimmy carr to name 2. And enjoyed so much known collaborators like Keegan Michael key. Just saw his show at Berkeley Rep old Man and the pool.. highly recommend!!
Quality Production
Mike, my cool, yupster son and his wife showed me your stand-up which I like….but I like you even more after listening to your podcasts. Your soothing yet excited-little-boy voice coupled with the flow of the show is so enjoyable to listen to. It’s so interesting to learn about the craft and craftmanship of comedy…I hope you continue.
Spelunking the caves of comedic minds
Mike, this is such a fascinating "fly on the wall" listen about the process of comedians creating comedy. I listen every week, and I am a big fan of your work. Always funny and at times, deeply thought provoking. I am especially grateful for you introducing me to Sarah Millican. What a treasure. I've watched many of her videos on her YouTube channel and I laugh throughout every one of them. I so look forward to seeing you here in LA in May 2022. Lots of love and stay safe out there!
Funny, heartfelt and insightful
Whenever I listen, I enjoy it and laugh but also gain some new perspective and insight that I take with me for my life (I’m not a comedian so I mean for life in general!) I’ve noticed in more recent podcasts there seems to be more of a workshopping of both the guests and mikes jokes which I enjoy
Loving every episode!
As a new comic this podcast has been invaluable in my first year of comedy. My writing has become so strong so quickly and I attribute a lot of it to just how much I get out of the honesty and transparency of Mike and his guests! I’m the HUGEST fan! Thank you so much for bringing us into your workshop!
Amazing
Amazing
A window into the creative process
I love this podcast, and not because I’m a comedy-lover (I’m not)! It feels like such a privilege and joy to be let in on the creative process with Mike and his guests. Mike establishes an easy rapport with his guests that is always engaging. I highly recommend this podcast to my friends AND my enemies. ;-)
Can you flag the reruns please?
I love the podcast, and totally understand the need for reruns when you need to take a break, but can you please identify them in some way? It’s hard to remember what I’ve already heard! Just something like “listen again” or “revisiting” would be helpful to identify what’s new and what’s not
A must listen for comedy fans
Mike Birbiglia generously lets fans in on his writing process and intimate conversations with fellow hilarious people
Follow his evolution
Love this man’s comedy from beginning to now. Looking forward to what he brings us in the future.
Wannabe wannabe wannabe like Mike!
Love this show. So excited to see Mike in Berkeley!
You owe it to yourself to listen to this show.
Mike Birbiglia and his guests have conspired with witty jokes and heartwarming genuinity to make my life a little better on a regular basis. Guys, let’s get real - the pandemic has been hellacious for everyone and devastating for many. This podcast has helped me cope with a variety of hard times and woe. Listening and re-listening to several episodes multiple times. It has been a witness to process and craft. This show invites me to see points of view that differ from some I hold (and held). Thank you for this amazing gift, and for the many charities and organizations you promote and give to. What an inspiring example to set in these dark times!
I look forward to this every week!
Mike Birbiglia is not a comedian in the sense of jokes. He is more an observer of what it is being human, telling us about it and making us laugh at him and ourselves. This podcast has him working things out with his guest, usually another comic or writer. These episodes are alternately funny, introspective and hilarious. I only wish they were longer
Working it all out
Mike and his guests don’t just work out the kinks in their jokes, they share honest conversations about their craft, their lives, and the human experience.
I just love this podcast
Yep. That says it all. Love it. Love it. No notes today.
