"I'll Remember Martin" is a heartfelt tribute remix honoring Martin Burgoyne, Madonna's close friend, artist, costume designer, and collaborator with NYC legends like Basquiat, Warhol, and Haring. Originally conceived as a mashup/remix of Madonna's "I'll Remember", fate intervened when discovering Ben Böhmer's song "Martin" – its coincidental title inspired a poignant tribute to Madonna's beloved friend. Martin's life actually inspired Madonna's powerful lyrics in her song "In This Life". Martin's photo is the first featured during the recent Celebration Tour performance of "Live To Tell". Madonna first dedicated her live performance of Live To Tell to Martin in 1987. This remix now celebrates his spirit and legacy.
