About Let Me Sum Up

People working in climate and energy know how challenging it is keeping up with the firehose of papers and reports flooding their inbox.

The Let Me Sum Up podcast is here to help. Every fortnight we read a recent report on climate or energy and talk about it on the show.

Hosted by three seasoned policy and advocacy professionals, Let Me Sum Up brings you wonky, willing and irreverent conversations about the latest research and analysis on climate and energy.

Submit a report you'd like us to sum up for you here. Because there is too much!

Pod crew

An obligatory but necessary disclaimer

We work in climate and energy in a range of roles, including executive and board positions. Random things we say on a podcast do not represent the views of those organisations! Turns out.

Serving suggestion

One of the joys of the show is getting to think out loud, and express our personal, sometimes half-formed thoughts. We suggest you bear that in mind, and take it all with a grain of salt!

About the Hosts

Luke Menzel

Luke leans into his obsessions; in his roles as CEO of the Energy Efficiency Council and a Director at the Australian Energy Market Operator and the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council he get to think a lot about the role of efficiency, electrification and flex in Australia's energy transition. And as co-host of LMSU, he spends his spare time continuing to bang on about all that, plus everything else that's going on in climate and energy.

At the time of writing Luke's attempts to get Frankie and Tennant to start one or more LMSU spinoff podcasts focused on movies, TV shows, board games, video games and/or Lego have been unsuccessful.

Frankie Muskovic

Frankie is a longtime climate policy wonk who leads the national policy agenda for the Investor Group on Climate Change and holds board positions at the Superpower Institute and the Australian Building Codes Board.

Frankie is deeply invested in home efficiency and electrification and there’s really no stopping her from talking about it; indeed she said yes to doing a podcast with Luke and Tennant to spare her family yet more climate chat at the dinner table.

Always ambitious, Frankie has seized the mantle of LMSU Global Vice President for Marketing and Extortion and is executing a grandiose plan for world domination, one T-shirt at a time.

Tennant Reed

By day, Tennant is climate and energy guy for Australian Industry Group. By night, he is a podcast co-host, a role-playing game moderator and an enthusiastic cook.

At all times, a tireless carbon border adjustment enthusiast and dodgy spreadsheet wrangler!
