The Epiphany That Started It All

Welcome to the very first episode of KEEP KIDS SAFE! I'm your host, Sarah Panus, and I'm so glad you're here.

If you're a Christian parent who sometimes feels overwhelmed trying to raise kids who love Jesus and stay safe in today’s world—you are not alone. This podcast was created just for you.

In this first episode, I’m sharing the personal story behind why I launched KEEP KIDS SAFE—including a powerful moment when a Bible verse practically jumped off the page and straight into my heart. I’ll also explain what you can expect from this podcast going forward and how, together, we can learn to shine God’s light into dark places without feeling paralyzed by fear.

Ephesians 5:11–14 (NIV)
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things they do in secret.
But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light.
Therefore it says, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

Why KEEP KIDS SAFE Podcast Exists

I started this show because I heard so many Christian parents—myself included—say things like:

“It’s too overwhelming.”
“It’s too heartbreaking.”
“I don’t even know where to start.”

And you know what? I get it. I really do.
But here’s the truth: while we can’t solve everything individually, together we can absolutely make a difference.

My hope is that KEEP KIDS SAFE becomes a practical, hope-filled bridge between where you are today and where you want to be—a parent who’s more informed, less anxious, and ready to protect not just your kids, but kids everywhere.
