Host and futurist Trond Arne Undheim interviews Dan Elitzer, investor at IDEO CoLab Ventures, Founder of the MIT Bitcoin Club with an MBA from MIT Sloan.

The takeaway is that the promise of open finance is a world where everyone can freely create or deploy new financial instruments and business models without or with less of the intermediary constraints that traditional institutions have put on the system. Even if that will take decades, this is cause for optimism. It may also speed up innovation but it may perhaps not disrupt banks to the point that they disappear, which indicates that it stands a chance to strike a balance between change and continuity.
