Bonita Springs isn't quite as sleepy as it used to be. It's also cultivating a small but mighty beer scene, helped out by yearly events like the Bonita Brew Fest.

This year's event took place at Riverside Park, right in downtown Bonita Springs and pretty close to my favorite Everglades Wonder Gardens. It's also sponsored by the Southwest Florida Brew Crafters, and we start today's episode speaking to  John Newman, president of the Brew Crafters to learn more about the organization, the event, and the SWFL beer scene in general.
