"Murdaugh" Jailhouse Phone Calls Volume 4

0:11 Hey everyone, and welcome back to Exposed Scandalous Files of the Elite. I am your host, Jim Chapman, and we are back with the murd All series. But this week special release those jailhouse phone calls that everybody seems to love so much. This is volume four of those phone calls. And if you've listened to the verse three, we do these in order so you don't get confused. And at this. Point he's in his trial and he's keeping himself busy talking to family members. In this volume four, you're gonna hear him speak to Buster on four separate occasions, his brother Randy on two separate occasions, his brother John Marvin on one occasion, his sister in law Liz on three occasions, and his sister Lynn on two occasions. And we will be back next week as we continue the testimony of Alex Murdall on the stand. Everybody is listening to that episode we just dropped last week of the first day of Mardall's testimony, and we're going to continue that next week.

Not yet? I had, but I'll tell you this. I did so hard over the weekend, and yesterday my niece started hurting really bad, and so I hadn't done it yet.

2:20 Today I've been waiting. But I mean I've been doing them mountain climbers every day. Yeah, yes, huh. Well did they have a little weight room or anything for y'all? I don't know. I had no little weight room for us. That they might have more. They got a weight room in the in the in the prison, in the jail, they got one out there that some people can use it. You can't use it. Well, did you climb the liber room? No? And they may found the library yet either. I did get a letter that said that the book you know is considered contraband not allow it.

I guess that was on Monday, yesterday, Tuesday, Yeah, I guess it was just ruesterday, and she said that she would put. I told her. I was like, look, there's gonna be a book coming. Is there any way that you can donate it to the library for Elick to be able to read it and whoever else wants to read it? So I'll find out that I'd like to say, don't I'll last. I don't think. I ain't nobody in here I know been to the library. But I'll see if they'll let's let you go. I don't think. I don't think they'll let me go. See they don't let me do much, say lady, they won't, And I mean I think they think it's for my own good. You know, as far as you know, I'm not around everybody, only around you know, a smaller group of people. You know what I'm saying. But Lindsey, I got your letter Saturday, but we were on lockdown and not allowed to use the phone, so just that I wasn't able to call.

4:37 And anyway, they won't. They only have visitation on certain days. Thursday is not one of them, and I have to put in ahead of time, you know. And it's only video, you know. And I tell you this. There's another thing, you guys. Tell me there's a machine, that machine over there, you can have a video call, right, I gotta get emails else. Will you give me a favor? Yeah? Will you send me a letter with everybody's email address? You know, really yours and Busters and John Marvin's can send it to me first. But rather than having to do another one, just send me everybody's email. And there's a machine that we can have video calls without saying when you come here to do a video call? Okay, learn how to work the machine and how to pay for it and all that.

5:38 Okay, So what emails do you want me to send? I got a pencil handy. Just yours and Busters and John's and maybe Brooklyn's. And I got to figure out how it works, okay. So, and I I was gonna send you a letter too. I sent Buster letter and Grandma a letter, but I I, I don't how much paper, but I'm getting more paper, So I send you a letter. You're at the top of my list to send a letter. But I had to send it to Buster and I hadn't talked to Grandma and then and you know, five weeks, I promise you, you and e Liza, Grace and me and Marvin at the top of my list. And your mom sent me a nice letter. Did you know that well that my mom sent one a very nice letters. She told me that she was gonna do that, and I'm H'm Christian texting me last night to say that he was set acting that letter that you gave to him, Perbuster, and that it should be getting here today. And then he also had saved also Kim of shows that while back and see her to let guys, so we'll keep that in a safe spot too. So he's sending all about Tommy.

7:08 But did Buster tell you that I'm going to Greensboro this weekend? Yeah? He did? Well. I mean I would like your swing bar either on Saturday or on Monday, you know the one there coming back. I gotta find out you have to put in like a week ahead of parent. Don't have to put in a week ahead of time for vivitation, So like on Friday, all right, on Friday, they'll ask if you got somebody visiting, and you can only visit on Friday or Saturday. So I promise me if you don't go out of your way for you know, I mean, it's be just a phone call where I mean you're being a whole different place.

John person visits now all video, So you would come to it like the front of the jail, and you would sit down at a little video telephone thing they have like you in these rooms, all right, so like and I mean I've had one or two with him, most of them and my business have been in person, but every now and then, like on lockdown, they have to do it by the telephone. So you sit down at a at a telephone with a little camera and I'm all the way in where I'm at, and you know, so you wouldn't get to really visit we you know what I'm saying. Yeah, Man, if I can get this video thing set up and figure this out, then you know, but I'll I'll talk to you on Friday and see when we get these forms. And if I don't have it figured out by then, I just I don't want you going out of your way and not gonna be able to set it up for this Friday, this Saturday or Monday. You see what I'm saying. On Friday, I'll get a piece of paper where I can set it up for the next Friday. It's Friday Saturday, right, it's next Friday Saturday. You see? Is that just a guard? Yeah?

I've gotta I've got to start doing more on my arms because you know, you eat all this junk food because the food is so bad. You know, the food's terrible, and so eat this junk food. You know, doesn't take wrong. I'm gonna call him some things we got to figure out. And I appreciate everything you do in Leslie morning. You know, make make muster to show you the letter. I mean, you know.

And then there's that girl hunt on Friday that your mom is going to do. That sounds fun, But you know, I've been doing a lot of thinking and you know, just about all taking all these tills and how that all started, and you know, just I mean, there's no doubt when I started taking them.

A day or two ago, she was talking and she said, you know, I love all those murders, and you know, was talking about Daddy and all of that, and and said, you know, she knew you had done some stuff you weren't supposed to, but you were a good person and had a good heart. Well that's nice to say yepleen catline and saying still fighting. You know, I think they have kind of come to a truth where they don't don't do it actively. But I don't think they've made up, you know about data. Did she see Mama? I don't know. I did not see Mama.

Didn't leave the courthouse until five thirty, until it was six thirty by the time I got to the funeral home and and I checked in, and she was getting ready for bed, and I felt like that would be more disruptive than you know. So she still remembers, you know, I mean, y'all know sometimes I think sometimes I think she she doesn't when we first come in, but then as we talk to her and call her Mama and talk about things, then she starts picking up and you know, starts remembering a little bit or you know, I don't know, maybe it's maybe it's my wishful thinking, but I swear I think she knows who we are some of the time. So yeah, well, everybody else is doing good, everybody's doing good. Reeves is getting her dog tomorrow. You know, she's been for a while.

18:45 She's getting a puffy so we're we're picking that up tomorrow. We're kind of puffy. It's a standard foodle. It's a red red color standard foodle. And she says, I am not doing those little pompa things just don't be natural. Yeah, I don't bring him my but it's still a damp poodle. You know, we had a labor poodle or a lapperdoodle or whatever you call it something. Yeah, I remember you had one. I don't know that I ever saw it. But good, he's good. He's hunting Thanksgiving. Yeah, he's hunting in fat Mills's boyfriend is coming down tomorrow and then he's gonna take them hunting tomorrow afternoon. And then I think Randy's got a bunch of bunch of the family going up to his place at Allendale, Yeah, and hunting.

19:35 Not there if they you know anybody who wanted to hunt. So not doing anything special, just going to hunt. So ken to when Lizzy told me last week that y'all are going to Him's about one o'clock. Yep, gonna try to eat about one o'clock. And you know how that goes. It'll probably be two before we get around to it, but we'll see what we do. The I'll try to give you all the call. That'd be good that he just give us, you know, call one of us and we can can't get or whatever your best text you. He has not texted me. But now when I couldn't call y'all this weekend, I mean I called him for like forty fifty seconds and he was supposed to call you and Randy it texted you and Randy you didn't. No, he didn't. Now John Marvin told me that that you had called Duster and talked to him for a second, but for not very long. But so John Marvin told me that you had called but not couldn't call, and then I'd give you all a call. Could gotch. I figure, I figure you've gone through periods where they where you have access to the phone and somewhere he's done. So that's right. That's come to kind of come to expect that.

20:58 But live and I have trying to do some more research. She probably talked to you a little bit about this today if you talk to because I think you talked to her sometime today. Yeah, she said something and I got to talk to her for a little while. She said something about trying to figure out about books. If you donated to the library, could get it. Somebody tried to send me a book and I got to notice and said, somebody tried to see this contraband if they don't pick it up, it's gonna be destroyed. But I figured it was be Yeah, Liz said she was gonna try it and see if they would let it through. She did that that first day you called us about that. We were kind of trying to see what they were going to allow. But they apparently have a library there that had all of y'all have access to. I don't know what they got in it and what they don't, but we've also found out that we might be able to donate books to it if they don't have anything you like. But you've got to figure out how to get to it. Yeah, I'll try to figure that out.

Yeah, but he's not in the regular I mean, they changed my classification, so I'm not all the time. Well, that's good. You've gotten to get out and be able to do something the hours. And yeah, I can't. I can't imagine not having anything to read, not having a game anything. This old trustee one legged dude ma clance he yeah, stuff around on the wheelchair. He's been helping me get books and also but good. So yeah, I'm sure. I mean, I bet I've read fifteen eighteen books in short order. Yeah, I can imagine. That's the only thing you got to do really well. I started exercises too, so that I'm I'm on my eleventh day, and I mean, I can only kill the difference. So I can only kill the difference. So that's good. And I'm doing more and more. Yeah, a little bit, a little bit more, a little bit more at least, got to keep you in in somebody decent straight because I know the food's not good. You said you're eating snacks too much. But the food I've been trying to quit eating because I mean, you know, but you gotta have something that's decent. I mean, you gotta have something to

In five minutes, I've had I've had my cold hour and my baloney sandwich for lunch. I pay to go well, And I told you I had her twelve one hundred and twenty five or thirty dollars on your account of the day. I saw that the most I could spend a week is sixty dollars.

31:30 And so basically every every two weeks we need to make sure we're add one hundred and twenty fox or shut. And and you see the problem is, see I explained this to Bust. The canteen is not like a canteen that you walk to and fro a're out of the vending machine, all right. It's a company. You go on a kiosk and you place an order, and you have to place an order by a deadline, and then Monday they bring you a bag with every thing you ordered. I got you, see what I'm saying. So you get canteen once a week, I said, I have to order it, you know, like usually you have to order it by Tuesday night. But see, like one day this, you know, one day if they keep this place so cold, this medical dorm, like I had to order a thermal type and bottom and you know, some socks and a couple of T shirts. So that was thirty something dollars I got you, you know, And so anyway, well just us like when you get down to sixty bucks or so remaining with plenty of time left, just let me know and I'll just continue to keep having I said, you're keeping up with all this money? You're getting me right, I'm no, not really, but we'll keep up with im. No, it's gonna add up now, I'm she could keep up

I've been I've been doing good on exercise, and I'm up to about an hour a day. Well good. I do five sets up downs, ten each with twelve steps like one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven twelve, running in place and then hit the ground and come up one two, three, four, five, six, seventy nineteen dound twelve, hit the ground and come up. I do five sets of ten of those, and then I do five sets of twenty five mountain climbers like one two three one one two three two one two three three.

36:43 I do five sets of twenty five of those, and I mean the damn near kills me. And then I started trying to do push ups too, right, Well, might better cut your ass when I get out of here. And maybe because I haven't done anything as far as physically. All right, Well, how you getting ready to go to Charleston? Now I gotta go to Columbia first ten for I was getting ready to ask you something buster. Yeah, I know, I put a lot on you, and I don't I don't want to keep adding stuff to you.
