In this shocking installment of the Bad Teachers series, we dive deep into the disturbing case of Maris Nichols, a 25-year-old former biology teacher and football program administrator at Alexander High School in Douglasville, Georgia. What began as allegations of inappropriate relationships with students quickly unraveled into one of the most disturbing educator misconduct cases in recent memory.

Nichols stands accused of repeated sexual misconduct involving at least six minor students, including alleged encounters in a school classroom closet and a car parked in a residential driveway. A Douglas County grand jury indicted her on 27 counts, encompassing child molestation, grooming of minors for sexual offenses, sexual exploitation of children, furnishing obscene material to minors, improper sexual contact by a school employee, and attempted evidence tampering.

Investigators uncovered evidence of Snapchat communications, an alleged OnlyFans account, and claims that students blackmailed Nichols for better grades after discovering her secret online activities. Despite an initial $40,000 bond and house arrest conditions prohibiting contact with minors, prosecutors say she violated those terms dozens of times—leading to her re-arrest and ongoing detention.
