Bad Teachers: Jonathan Priano & Olivia Ortz

0:00 Hey everyone, and welcome back to Exposed Scandalous Files of the Elite. I'm your host, Jim Chapman, and we're back with another episode of Bad Teachers. Now, every now and then I come across cases that are so difficult to imagine. Just the sheer stupidity of some of these bad teachers. It absolutely blows my mind. In today's episode will definitely qualify Wait till you hear this one. And I'm going to start off by taking you to June tenth of twenty twenty, and I'm going to tell you about a high school music teacher by the name of Jonathan Priano.

0:46 And it was on that day that this music teacher from New Wilmington, Pennsylvania would be arrested in face two counts of unlawful contact with a minor, ten counts of institution tutional sexual assault, two counts of corruption of minors, and two counts of endangering the welfare of children. Now, in this case, a lot of personal information would come out regarding this bad teacher, including his tickling fetish, which we're going to talk about. So let's get into it. And to tell you a little bit about Jonathan Priano, who went by the name Johnny. He was the band director for Wilmington, Pennsylvania Area High School. He was thirty five years old at the time that these chargers came out, and at this point in his career, he had been a music teacher for thirteen years, having started right out of college, and he was well respected, really looked at as an amazing band director. That is, of course, until all of this came out. So in the criminal complaint, it states that the police in the school received a report that he had used his position at the school district as the choir director to build personal relationships with those attending his classes, and that he would continue to contact these students even after they graduated from high school.

2:20 As a matter of fact, according to the affidavit, he attempted to date several individual students just shortly after their graduation, but he didn't just limit this to students that graduated as a matter of fact. The affidavid also accuses Priano of having unlawful contact with two minors, and that he had physical contact with one of the victims ten or more times while they were still students. The encounters occurred at the high school and at Priano's former residents now.

3:01 One of the two victims he was charged with was a seventeen year old girl who described for investigators that Priano engage in what she turned as a foot tickling fetish with her. The two would exchange private Facebook messages and she said that in those messages it was mainly a friendship that started to blossom and then it turned into more, she said. In one of the messages, Priano stated that, quote the good Christian boy is only a persona I wear at school. So he gets booked on these charges and his bond is set at thirty thousand dollars.

3:43 He posts that, and of course after that more information comes out, including more of those Facebook messages. Another student in Priano also communicated, and Johnny would comment about the heels that the student would wear during the school year. So police they do what they do. They're garnering evidence and eventually this case would get a court in more details on these tickling sessions would come out. This was on March eighth of twenty twenty two, when a former student describes in court how her music teacher would engage her in those sessions, which she said they would playfully refer to as quote rehearsals. She said the meetings at times would become like play acting, and he would duct tape her leg to the wall and he would act like he was a spy. She told of one particular instance where she had bruises on her leg from it, and went on to say that it was one of his favorite games. She also said sometimes she could feel that he was aroused. Now, this woman at this time is twenty five, and she said those acts activity started when she was sixteen, continued throughout her junior and senior years of high school, through her graduation while she was still seventeen. She said they continued through her first year

5:15 of college when she turned eighteen, because Priano was actually attending some classes at that college. So at this point, y'all, he's facing twenty six criminal charges, ten counts of institutional sexual assault, of unlawful contact with minors, twelve counts of corruption of minors, and two counts of endangering the welfare of children. And this former stendant would testify at what's known as a pre trial hearing, which really is just a hearing design to determine if there's enough evidence to proceed in a case and why it took so long. I'm not really sure, but this is nearly two years after he was arrested. Now he was arrested in twenty twenty.

6:03 So I assumed COVID played a big part in why it kind of drug on this case. But there you have it now. After she testified and left the stand, they concluded court that day, and they scheduled a later date to allow for more testimony because two other victims were scheduled to testify. And they also mentioned at this pre trial hearing that they would be presenting some electronic evidence, which I assume would be text pictures, vineos, etc. At a follow up hearing. And I want to mention that the former student that testified also testified that she had known Priano since she was in sixth grade when he was first hired as a teacher, and that their relationship developed when she got into the ninth grade and joined the choir at the high school. She said when she was a junior, they became quote super close. She said a classmate had died and they would send texts back and forth on messenger, etc. And he was grooming her right she was going through a tough time. This classmate had passed away. And he was making her feel like everything was going to be fine and I'm here for you.

7:26 And then the most despicable part to me occurs when the night of the funeral, they're texting back and forth the funeral for her friend, her classmate who had died, and of course grooming right, he says, why don't you meet me at my car and she does that, and she said they got in the back seat and he instructed her to take off her shoe. He then lifted up her leg into his lap and started tickling the arch of her foot. She stated it was kind of uncomfortable, and she added that her foot was close to his penis. She said after that, they hugged and she went home.

8:09 She also said those encounters continued and he would invite her to his apartment. They would watch movies and have food, and she said quote he did more of the tickling in his apartment. She said that it started to develop into what they called rehearsal, stating he created different skits and he would use different objects to tickle her. She said that Priano would specify what type of shoes that she should wear, such as black flats or heels, and she went on to say he would act out tickling using a toothbrush of feather his fingers, and that he would record it. She said there were a few instances where he would put his hand up her shirt and touched the bottom part of her brail are in her waistline quote, we always did something every time we went to his apartment. She said there was no sexual activity involved outside of that. She also testified that the encounter would happen during school hours while Priano was teaching middle school choir and she was in high school. She said she would spend her study halls at his desk inside a closet in the middle school choir room, and he would go in there and he would talk to her and engage in tickling, and at times he would prop her against the door and move his hands up and

9:39 down her torso under her shirt. And she added that the closet encounters happened at least two or three times a week. She said there were a couple of occasions where he would meet up at band camp and tickle her as well. And this young lady said she was introverted in school and although she was uncomfortable with what was going on, she didn't want to lose the connection with her teacher quote, I felt like he made me feel kind of guilty, like I was being the worst of the two in leading him on. The students said she never told anyone about the encounters, not her parents, not even her friends, but decided to open up about it when she was contacted by another former student who had said it also happened to her, and she discovered she was not the only victim. So one of the other students went to the DA's office about it. A detective met with her and she told her story and she said, that's how it all started for me, and she admitted she had a crush on Priano, but she had said they never kissed. Now, another thing that was found out during this pre trial hearing was that the DA actually offered Priano a plea agreement and they were going to drop two of the charges, including a felony,

11:12 as part of that agreement. So he accepted it initially and had that sentence been carried out, it was an agreement of six to twenty three and a half months in jail, followed by two years of probation and fifteen years on the sex offender registry. But he then renegged on that offer and the DA withdrew it because the victim agreed to take the stand. And a lot of times when they do these plea agreements in sex cases of any type, it's because they're trying to avoid the victims having to releve all this shit. Well, if the victim agrees to take the stand and testify, you don't need the plea agreement, And we're going to move to August twenty fourth of twenty twenty two. And as I mentioned, another victim testified as well as Jonathan's former wife, who divorced him after all this stuff came out for obvious reasons.

12:06 And the first was the student who testified that Jonathan would invite her to his house, put her foot in his lap, and took on her foot until he became a rouse. Sound familiar, right. She said the events happened at least twice when she was seventeen. Now, in this case, the devents argued that because the laws in Pennsylvania allowed anyone over the age of sixteen to have consensual sex, that Jonathan didn't do anything wrong. And in this particular case, the alleged victim was thirty years old by the time of her testimony, she said the encounters took place within a month of her eighteenth birthday, and she said she was in the high school choir and Priana was her instructor for three years, and she said they had a friendly relationship that she trusted and looked up to him.

12:58 She also said they tended the same church and at some point he invited her to be his friend on Facebook. She accepted that and at first their conversations were fairly innocent. And it was also at that point they started texting each other via cell phone. Now, if you notice, everything is almost identical to that first victim as far as how this guy was grooming her. He started off with messages. He started off hitting her up on Facebook. Typical shit, right, she said. After her graduation, he texted her about quote turn on spots and said that he was quote interested in the idea of feet and he would like to show her the pleasure of that. He invited her to his apartment. She met him in the parking lot of the building and he said he wanted to put her foot in his lap, so he positioned it over his penis area and started to tickle her foot. She said it was at that point she could definitely feel him getting aroused. She said after that, the same thing would happen more commonly. She said when they were watching movies together as an apartment, it would happen quite often. She also said at one point he asked her to wear high heels, which she normally didn't wear, but she complied, and she said his finger would slide inside her shoe and under her foot to tickle her while her foot

14:29 was in his lap. He then suggested he use a feather duster to tickle her. He also suggested tying her up and playing quote spy and tickling her to get information out of her, but she said that never happened now. After that, his former wife took the stand and she said the relationship started in a similar way. She said that she was also in the music field, and her music teachers suggested she contact pre to write music for a performance that she had. His ex wife said they met for the first time at what is known in the area as Newcastle Playhouse, and she said that was in twenty ten and that may he started talking to her about her feet. She added she was sixteen at the time. Eventually he started asking her to take pictures and videos of her and her feet, and when she was seventeen, he took her to church with him. Afterward, they went to his apartment where he did the same thing, put her foot in his life by his penis and started tickling her. She said she could tell he was aroused when her foot was in his lap and he was breathing very heavily. She even said, quote, I could see that his pants were wet unquote. She said when she turned eighteen, he started filming things and that she also had bare intact with her feet in his bare

16:02 private areas. Now it didn't say how much older he was than her, but they didn't get married. This was in twenty fourteen, and they subsequently had two children, so I don't think he was much older than her. But even at assuming he was a very young age at that point, maybe just a year or two older than her. This foot fetish went way back with this guy. So long story short, he did what they all do. He realized the evidence was stacked against him, and eventually he did plead guilty. Now at this point, it's August of twenty twenty three. This case has been going on for three years and again probably COVID contributed to that. He was thirty eight years old at this time, and he was sentenced to eleven to twenty two months in jail.

16:54 In addition, he got three years probation and he had to register as a sex offender for fifteen years. So it's off to jail for this foot fetish bad teacher. And you would think, hey, that's the end of our story, right, But you know me better than that. I'm about to throw you a twist that you are not going to believe. And we have to back it up a little bit to April of twenty twenty two to give you this twist, and I'm going to have to tell you about Olivia Ortz. And Olivia orts is the music teacher who replaced Jonathan Priano when he got fired from that high school as a music teacher for sexually assaulting these students. Now, Olivia, what's twenty six in April of twenty twenty two, and guess what, she gets arrested for sexual assault of student. Now, you got to be the dumbest person on the face of the earth to get hired at a school to replace someone that got arrested for sexual assault of a student.

18:06 And then you sexually assault a student. Mind blowing. It's crazy, but that's what happened in this case. First time I've seen that. Let me tell you about it. So Olivia was the music and choir teacher at the same school. She replaced Priano. She was married, she was twenty six years old at the time, and her husband comes home from a trip out of town and he finds what looks like a love letter that appeared to be written by a student. It wasn't signed, but it just this guy had a sixth sense that she was cheating on him. Anyway.

18:53 He would come out later and say, and so she's convinced he's having some sort of affair with a student. He confronts her about it. Who is this kid? I need to talk to him? And basically Olivia says, well, it's a female student. Now, this guy was contracted by the school that Olivia Ortz worked at as well. He was just like kind of like a subcontractor. He helped out with the choir stuff, a ten ninety nine employee, if you will. And he's also what they call a mandated reporter, so he had to report this, and he did report this. He went to the principal, and he said, my wife is having an affair with a female student at this school. Police get called in and the first thing they do is they talk to the student, who was a seventeen year old girl. And I'm going to read directly from the police report, it says on Friday, May thirteenth of twenty twenty two, New Wilmington Police file criminal charges against Olivia Orts. The charges stem from an investigation on April eighteenth of twenty twenty two. At that time, the Wilmington Area High School principal Michael Wright reported information to police that he had received from the husband of Orts.

20:27 The husband reported finding evidence that his wife, Olivia, was having inappropriate relationships with a seventeen year old female student. Mister Wright and mister Orts jointly reported the issue to police. The New Wilmington police investigation included multiple interviews of the involved student, who admitted she was involved in a romantic relationship with her choir teacher. The student indicated that initially she considered Olivia a quote safe adult in the that she trusted and confided in her about personal problems and relationship problems, but that it turned into a romantic relationship.

21:10 The student indicated that she and Olivia communicated both in school and out of school, verbally by cell phone and by text based messaging. The student reported that at the invitation of Olivia, she went into Olivia's home while her husband was away on a trup, and she reported that they snuggled on the couch, would watch TV, and finally went into the bedroom where they engaged in sexual activity with each other. The student them reported returning to Olivia's home several times to quote comfort her after her husband came home and discovered their secret relationship, and even at that point she stayed overnight again. Can you freaking believe that?

21:58 On May fifth of twenty twenty two, police served search warrants at the current residence of Olivia, and they seized her cell phone, iPad and took some DNA. Olivia became aware of the investigation at this time and the potential charges against her. And here's where it gets even crazier, folks. Instead of terminating her contact with this student after she was made aware of it, the two continued to communicate with each other using the Spotify music app, and they even established a code word to use in the event their communication was discovered. Or something bad would happen to one of them. Over one hundred messages were posted back and forth to each other on Spotify between May tenth and May eleventh of twenty twenty two alone, and continued until the student's father took his daughter's cell phone, iPad and laptop from her after learning of active messaging between the two parties, and he reported that to police. I ain't even know you could chat on Spotify, and I use that app all the time, but apparently they thought they were going to be slack. And look this right now is how sexual assault, whether it's teachers or anybody else, How these predators are getting to these kids now in

23:30 current times is they're using messaging apps, but not your typical everyday apps like Facebook, Messenger or TikTok. Even they don't use that anymore because it's become so common that police are really on the case when it comes to that. They're using apps that people don't even realize have messaging functions on them, So parents be aware of that now. It goes on to say on the afternoon of May sixteenth, Olivia surrendered to police at the alle Office of the Judge upon the advice of her attorney. So Olivia gets arrested, she gets a one hundred and fifty thousand dollars bond, and she actually had to sit in jail because she could not afford the bond. So this case eventually goes to pre trial hearings, just like that first case I told you about. And in that pre trial hearing, the student victim comes forward and actually testifies, and she asks for leniency for the teacher. As a matter of fact, she was quoted as saying, I'm not a victim in any sense of the word unquote, and at this time she was eighteen. She said, I wasn't groomed, persuaded, or forced to do something I did not want to do.

24:48 I'm equally responsible. Now they have a ton of evidence on this one, obviously, as these text messages through Spotify, etc. War discovery. So she did what Priano did. She cops a plea, and she actually got a pretty good deal, I would imagine, because the girl was almost eighteen when these allegations took place. She got no jail time, five years probation and nine months of house arrest as part of the deal, and she will have to report to state police for twenty five years and give up her teaching certificate. And it's pretty crazy that the pleas in both of these cases that I've told you about took place.

25:38 Get this, on the very same day. Both Priano and Ords pleaded guilty and got their sentences on the very same day. And they went to the same school in one replace the other. I wonder what I mean, how dumb do you have to be? It blows my mind. Now are first subject Jonathan Priano on August tenth of twenty twenty four. He actually was out of jail at that point, but he wanted to seek visitation rights to his children, which were taken away from him as part of his sentence, and the judge did allow visitation rights to his biological children, and the last update I could find on that was he could FaceTime with them until his probation period had been served. Crazy case. Two teachers, two music teachers from the very same school caught doing practically the same thing, except for in Jonathan Preano's case, there was no actual sex involved. But this is what I mean when I say that these people are absolute dumbasses.

26:55 You would never think a teacher would get fired for sexual conduct with students, and the person that replaces him then gets fired for sexual conduct with students.
