Listener Reviews

Such an unexpected gem of a podcast.
Lex gives the impression of a brilliant, thoughtful, kind and curious young professor who exudes the enthusiasm of a young person encountering things for the first time while being quite accomplished in life.
Educated. Thought provoking. Easy listen
Lex is my new favorite podcaster. He beaks down complex issues into simple talking points. Listening to this podcast makes me feel smarter and informed on current issues without being a straight read of the news. Even for the long podcasts he has my attention captured. Big high fives Lex, happy I found this. We need more informed perspectives like yours.
You’re amazing!
I love how amazing your thought process is, Lex. If you’re reading this, say “You Only Live Once”, at least once in your podcast and I’ll be in the lookout for it 👀
Love your beautiful podcasts.
Love your work. The Susan Cain podcast is very probably the most wonderful profound podcast I’ve ever listened to. Thank you so very much.
Lex Fridman
Deep involved conversations perfect for a long hike. Intelligent involving guests. Plus Lex!
Treasures to mankind
Lex Fridman, I need to express my sincerest gratitude towards your continuous efforts in producing high quality interviews along with your guests. You and your guests create an absolutely effective platform which enables flow of knowledge and perspectives which enrich the human mind. Your interview skills created a plethora of opportunities for guests to dig very deep into the delicate areas of their field of expertise. I appreciate your spirit in always wanting to attain further proximity to truth on controversial topics. You created amazing treasures to mankind!
Lex is my post undergrad education
I’ve learned more from Lex than I ever had in college. So grateful that his content exists!
Brilliance in bite size
I have math/engineering degrees and I think real brilliance is being able to breakdown complex topics into digestible, easy to understand verbiage for the majority of population to be able to understand and or inspire curiosity. I believe Lex does a fantastic job at prompting and or asking guests questions that succeed that! I appreciate the variety of topics, guests and no ego. Keep at it and thank you!
Source of Knowledge
In a world of fake news it is a blessing to put on your earphones and listen to the unabbreviated exchange of information between two human beings (allegedly). Lex has a childlike curiosity, a deep appreciation and understanding of science and respect for his guests. My favourite podcast by far
Not bad for a robot
When Lex downloads the next software update, I’ll give six stars.
One of a Kind Interviewer
I’ve heard at least 10 interviews with Douglas Murray, but this one was unique. Through good natured boundary-crossing and perceptive questioning, Fridman drew out a side of Murray I had not heard before. This is Fridman’s style, and it makes for unusually deep conversation.
Truth
Love Douglas
Good mixture of guests
I enjoy the conversations.
Never the naysayers
Lex has abilities beyond his years. He is earnest in his effort, his dedication shines brightly and he continues to earn his audience's respect. Lex's guests are intelligent, well educated, informed and each senses they are in the presence of a person who is honest and whose a professionalism will only grow with time. I listen every day. Stay the course.
Haven’t met good designers
Bad Comms and PR people are… bad. Good designers will push as far as they can to communicate the heart and soul of a great product. Has nothing to do with the leaders, unless the leaders stand in the way of good designers doing their job. Awesome podcasts.
Always a pleasure
All kinds of guest, all of them interesting in different ways; thoughtful, challenging, and light hearted questions from Lex; and only ads at the beginning. Love you Lex!
Am highly discriminating—Lex is one of my two favs
As a business professor emerita and current psychotherapist/nutritionist/holistic health consultant in the DFW area, I love Lex’s podcasts. He’s old-school (my school) polite, intelligent, informed, and has a charming sense of humor. Lex, I loved your interviews with Stone and then Kotkin (the latter was astounding).
Great podcast that’s too long
1. Three hours is too long 2. The less interesting the guest is the longer they go. Otherwise really enjoyable but I usually stop listening about halfway
Lex or Larry King?
Or maybe a Charlie Rose.. or a Teri Gross… i don’t think people fully understand how much research you do to be a compelling broadcaster to your guests… super impressive! Keep up the good work!
Big Fan, but …
… please stop asking your guests “What is the Meaning of Life”. No-one really has any answers here. Often just a poor end to a great interview.
Amazing podcast
So many great and deep conversations. The episode with Glenn Lowery has to be one of the greatest.
Lex is the man
Great show but I wish they would add podcasting 2.0 tags so people can give value for value.
Lex is a great person, but….
He gets great guests. He’s earnest, honest, good natured and interested in a wide array of topics. Problems: (1) he clearly wants to have sex with/date a robot (I struggle with deciding if this is a problem) (2) he needs to retire the term “this dance” (3) one episode without any mention of elon musk and joe rogan would be a gift I’d pay for at this point (4) to continue that point, he gives musk and rogan the benefit of the doubt when they often don’t deserve it, especially rogan (5) he goes way too easy on guests, to the extent it seems he’s scared to offend them - based on the high quality of guests he manages to get, it seems there are some wasted opportunities to squeeze em a bit. As mentioned in the beginning of this review, he’s a hard guy to dislike. And though it’s neither here nor there, I hope he’s able to marry and make sweet love to a sexy robot not too far in the future. One positive (there are a few): He constantly mentions Earnest Becker’s “The Denial of Death,” which is one of the best books ever written. If you take issue with that, you probably are sexually attracted to robots.
