The NFL opened their 2021 season with a lot of pomp and circumstance to include the singing of " Lift Every Voice and Sing". People across the country took issue with that because the implication was this was the "Black National Anthem."
Serious debates were had over whether our nation needs an additional national anthem. Bill Meyer had some interesting comments concerning the singing of this song along with the National Anthem.
