CATHOLIC SAINTS
The Feast of Immaculate Conception is celebrated in Catholic Church on December 8. In many countries it is a holy day of obligation, among others, in the United States, Argentina, Austria, Italy, Portugal and Spain. The Immaculate Conception, according to the teaching of the Catholic Church, was the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. Mary was conceived naturally but God kept her soul immaculate, i.e. free from original sin. The official confirmation of the dogma was defined in 1854 by Pope Pius IX, although the belief that Mary was sinless and conceived free from sin is goes back to the early days of the church.
Mama Mary, Kindly Pray for us 🌹♥️🙏

What an unforgettable evening! Our 31st Annual Fundraising Banquet “Expectant Hope” was a beautiful celebration of life, hope, and faith. With guest speaker @lilaroseofficial, founder and president of @liveactionorg, we were reminded of the power of truth, courage, and compassion in defending life and supporting women and children. Thank you to everyone who joined us, prayed with us, and continues to make MiraVia’s mission possible. Your love and generosity truly change lives. #MiraViaLife

Father Kauth asked that some dirt that was moved to make room for the new chapel be added to the small hill located behind the construction site. By raising this hill, Father created a great vantage point from which to survey progress. Our general contractor, Edifice, is doing great, and the project is on time and on budget. You can follow along from the comfort of your home or office by visiting the construction cam HERE
The columns and beams have now been joined for 2/3 of the chapel, and studs are being added in addition to the inner roof.
Please pray for the safety of our construction workers.

We are blessed to have the Daughters of the Virgin Mother here at the seminary and in our diocese. The other day, Whitney Hetzel brought two members of the Sisters of Mary (https://worldvillages.org/), one of whom works in Tanzania and the other in Mexico, to meet with Mother Mary Raphael and the other sisters. It is always extra joyful when sisters visit with sisters. From left to right: Sr. Mary Agatha Rose, Sr. Mary Jacinta, Sr. Marilyn, Mother Mary Raphael, Sr. Margie Cheong, Whitney Hetzel, Christy George, and Sr. Mary Philomena. Please pray for all of our sisters and consider supporting their missions.

Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church - Indian Land, SC
It is our honor to share with you the joyful news that our pastor, The Very Rev. Jeffrey F. Kirby, STD, VF, has recently been appointed as the new Dean of the Rock Hill Deanery in the Diocese of Charleston. A Dean is a senior priest who assists the Bishop by working with a cluster of priests and parishes entrusted to him (called a deanery) in fulfilling the mission of the Church. There are seven Deans in the Diocese of Charleston. Father Kirby has been appointed the Dean of the Rock Hill Deanery, which includes Lancaster, York, and Chester Counties. We invite all to keep Father Kirby in prayer as he begins this important mission. May the Holy Spirit guide him in wisdom, compassion, and faith. Congratulations, Father Kirby!
