Carolina Catholic Radio & Digital Media

Celebrating 7 Platforms over 7 Years

1/31/2019-1/31/2026

Your Year End Gift will help underwrite AM1270 Catholic Radio Charlotte in 2026.

With our Carolina Catholic Media Year End Fundraiser now officially underway, I want to reiterate our commitment to turn apostolate operations over to the talented young GEN-Zers across the 3 Dioceses of the Carolinas.  As we look ahead to 2026, we believe these young Catholics have the talent and initiative to provide content and manage the technology for both our radio and digital platforms.

To accelerate finding these individuals we have reached out to the most dynamic youth organization in America today, Turning Point USA.  As new TPUSA chapters open on college campuses and high schools in our Carolina Catholic Dioceses there is an opportunity to develop strategic alliances that tap into the energy of their youth movement and build synergies that benefit Carolina Catholic Radio and Digital Media in the future.

This Carolina Catholic Year End Fundraiser will be the most important in our 7-year history.  To the hundreds of you who have made donations over the past 7 years we thank you.  We hope you will join us again in our quest to evangelize the Truth of Jesus Christ and our Catholic Faith across the Carolinas!  Please keep our apostolate in your prayers as you discern your Year End 100% tax deductible gift to help keep Catholic Radio on the airwaves around Charlotte in 2026!  Thank you

so much.  May God Bless You abundantly!

In the peace of Christ,

David

Belmont Abbey College

This past Monday, the Abbey was especially honored to welcome Cardinal Müller to campus. He celebrated Mass with our monastic community and later shared an inspiring lecture with our college community on “Being a Catholic Christian Today.”

Cardinal Müller previously served as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith under both Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis, and it was a true joy to have him with us on campus!

St. Joseph College Seminary

Father Kauth asked that some dirt that was moved to make room for the new chapel be added to the small hill located behind the construction site.  By raising this hill, Father created a great vantage point from which to survey progress.  Our general contractor, Edifice, is doing great, and the project is on time and on budget. You can follow along from the comfort of your home or office by visiting the construction cam HERE

The columns and beams have now been joined for 2/3 of the chapel, and studs are being added in addition to the inner roof.

Please pray for the safety of our construction workers.

We are blessed to have the Daughters of the Virgin Mother here at the seminary and in our diocese. The other day, Whitney Hetzel brought two members of the Sisters of Mary (https://worldvillages.org/), one of whom works in Tanzania and the other in Mexico, to meet with Mother Mary Raphael and the other sisters. It is always extra joyful when sisters visit with sisters. From left to right: Sr. Mary Agatha Rose, Sr. Mary Jacinta, Sr. Marilyn, Mother Mary Raphael, Sr. Margie Cheong, Whitney Hetzel, Christy George, and Sr. Mary Philomena. Please pray for all of our sisters and consider supporting their missions.

Traditionalists push Pope Leo to resurrect the Latin Mass:

The Latin Mass has become toxically politicized and is posing a test for Pope Leo XIV as traditionalists call on him to reverse restrictions imposed by Pope Francis.

Charlotte Latin Mass Community

The Charlotte Latin Mass Community, (CLMC) is a private association of the faithful as defined by Canon Law (Can. 299 §1 and Can. 215).  We are Catholic faithful in the Charlotte area who strive in a common endeavor to pass down the traditional Catholic Faith to our children and to worship through the traditional Latin Rite liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church. We subject ourselves in full docility to the authentic authority of our Bishop, His Excellency Michael Martin, and the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV; which is to protect and defend the Catholic faith and the sacred deposit of tradition. MORE
