My guest today is Singer/Songwriter Alison Joy Williams.

She is the wife of a retired Naval Officer. She decided after her children had grown that she would go after a musical career as a songwriter and vocal artist even though the music industry had labeled her "too old" to be successful. Allison is sharing her story of breaking through the challenges and how she became the successful artist she is today.

Throughout her career, she recorded solo CDs, including her blues projects, "Blonde Hair Blues" and "Love All Of Me." Americana music on Another Thousand Miles and a Christmas CD, It's Christmas Time Again. She performed live and recorded a CD as a member of the trio Roadside Relics and has singles on five compilation CDs, including the international recording project Band Of Sisters.

As a songwriter, she has co-written with other vocal artists and had songs released by them as singles. She has had TV placement, and her pieces are made into music videos.
