As part of our on-going series on SuperYou, Dori had a chance to chat with another of the amazing performers bringing this musical to life at the Skylight Music Theatre in Milwaukee as part of World Premier Wisconsin.

Wren Rivera (Jo Jo/Rise) is an Asian-Latinx non-binary performer who has stepped into the shoes of Lourds Lane who wrote the book, music and lyric to SuperYou and originated the characters that Wren plays in this production. Originally from Chicago, Wren has been seen on Broadway with The Jonas Brothers and in Jagged Little Pill, on the screen with Dylan Mulvaney's Day 365 and Apple TV's WeCrashed. Wren is thrilled to transition from fan of SuperYou to now performing in SuperYou! Be sure to follow along on Instagram @w.t.rivera

SuperYou is an inspiring story about resilience, overcoming grief, and remembering one's worth. SuperYou follows the journey of a comic book artist whose superheroine creations come to life, reminding her of the incredible power of her own voice... and will one day take the Great White Way by storm!
