Timely advice is lovely,
like golden apples in a silver basket.

To one who listens, valid criticism
is like a gold earring or other gold jewelry.

Trustworthy messengers refresh like snow in summer.
They revive the spirit of their employer.
These three verses praise a well-timed and thoughtful word. Even if it’s something hard to hear, like a correction, if it’s spoken after prayer and with God’s wisdom, it will be welcomed.
Think about this: Have you ever felt you had a helpful correction for someone but didn’t say it because you don’t like conflict? How will the person know they’ve done something wrong if no one tells them?
