00:00:34.240 --> 00:00:36.480
Welcome to Wisdom for the Day.

00:00:36.799 --> 00:00:42.399
In a world that keeps shifting, this is where we return to what holds us steady.

00:00:42.719 --> 00:00:47.520
Let's begin today grounded, focused, and standing strong.

00:00:50.560 --> 00:00:52.320
Today is day 19.

00:00:52.640 --> 00:00:54.640
You are forgiven and free.

00:00:54.799 --> 00:00:59.600
From 1 John chapter 1, verse 9, from the New Living Translation.

00:01:00.320 --> 00:01:08.800
But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

00:01:09.359 --> 00:01:10.879
Well, let's be honest.

00:01:11.200 --> 00:01:23.759
Sin doesn't just trip us up, it lingers, it settles in our thoughts, our emotions, sometimes even in the way we talk to ourselves or about ourselves.

00:01:24.400 --> 00:01:30.560
Long after the moment's past, shame has a way of whispering, you should have known better.

00:01:30.879 --> 00:01:33.359
God must be tired of you by now.

00:01:33.920 --> 00:01:37.360
And if we're not careful, we start to believe these lies.

00:01:38.080 --> 00:01:41.360
But God's word cuts straight through that noise.

00:01:41.759 --> 00:01:44.319
John doesn't say God might forgive you.

00:01:44.640 --> 00:01:50.080
He says God is faithful and just to forgive you when you confess.

00:01:50.479 --> 00:01:59.439
That means forgiveness isn't based on how you feel, how sincere your apology sounds, or how long you punish yourself afterward.

00:01:59.759 --> 00:02:06.400
Forgiveness is based on who God is and what Jesus has already done.

00:02:06.960 --> 00:02:13.360
Standing strong in your identity means refusing to live chained to a past that God has already erased.

00:02:13.680 --> 00:02:20.800
The enemy wants you stuck rehearsing old failures, but God is inviting you to walk forward in freedom.

00:02:21.199 --> 00:02:26.960
When God forgives, he doesn't keep a record, he cleanses you completely.

00:02:27.360 --> 00:02:30.879
No fine print, no probation period.

00:02:31.280 --> 00:02:34.000
And here's something we don't talk about enough.

00:02:34.319 --> 00:02:36.560
Guilt can become familiar.

00:02:36.960 --> 00:02:40.800
Sometimes we hold on to it because it feels safer than grace.

00:02:41.120 --> 00:02:46.960
But God doesn't forgive you so that you could keep carrying the weight that He already lifted.

00:02:47.360 --> 00:02:50.320
He forgave you so you could be free.

00:02:51.040 --> 00:02:56.159
Free to grow, free to heal, free to start again.

00:02:56.960 --> 00:02:59.599
Now this doesn't mean you'll never struggle.

00:02:59.840 --> 00:03:05.439
It means your struggles no longer define you, who you are.

00:03:06.480 --> 00:03:11.040
You're not who you were, you're not the sum of your worst moments.

00:03:11.520 --> 00:03:18.080
You're forgiven, you're restored, and you're moving forward, whether you feel it yet or not.

00:03:18.960 --> 00:03:23.280
So today, stop replaying what God has already forgiven.

00:03:23.599 --> 00:03:25.920
Let grace have the final word.

00:03:26.640 --> 00:03:27.920
Let's pray.

00:03:28.480 --> 00:03:33.120
Father God, thank you for meeting me with mercy instead of condemnation.

00:03:33.439 --> 00:03:37.439
Thank you for forgiving me completely and cleansing me fully.

00:03:37.760 --> 00:03:43.520
Help me release every ounce of shame and walk boldly in the freedom that you've given me.

00:03:43.760 --> 00:03:46.640
In Jesus' precious name, amen.

00:03:47.760 --> 00:03:53.520
Now today I want you to think of one thing that you've been carrying that God's already forgiven.

00:03:53.920 --> 00:03:55.680
Confess it honestly.

00:03:55.920 --> 00:04:04.320
Then say out loud, I am forgiven, I am free, and then walk away from it on purpose.

00:04:05.120 --> 00:04:07.040
I'll see you tomorrow.

00:04:09.120 --> 00:04:17.920
Wisdom for the Day is produced by Lauren King, recorded at the Upper Room Studios with intro and outro music by Weston McCurry.

00:04:18.319 --> 00:04:19.759
I'm Rick Yuha.

00:04:22.319 --> 00:04:27.279
Thanks for spending these moments with me today on Wisdom for the Day Standing Strong.

00:04:27.519 --> 00:04:30.719
If this encouraged you, don't keep it to yourself.

00:04:30.879 --> 00:04:34.000
Share it with someone who needs a little strength today.

00:04:34.240 --> 00:04:38.560
