Confused by all the voices?

Normans.
Welsh princes.
Competing claims of authority around early mediaeval Cilgerran Castle.
It was a noisy, unstable world.

Not so different from ours.

Podcasts.
Influencers.
'Experts'.
Outrage merchants.

Everyone certain. Everyone platformed. Everyone right.

In Book of Revelation 2, Jesus speaks to the church in Ephesus - a cosmopolitan city full of competing truth-claims - and says:

“You have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not.”

Discernment isn’t cynicism.
It’s not argument-winning.
It’s not social-media outrage.

It’s loyal, careful love for what is true - lived (according to Reelation 2:1) under the gaze of the Christ who walks among His churches.

In a world of noise, test the message.
Test the character.
Test the fruit.

Because sincerity is not the same as truth.
