Our Story

The We Speake Network was born out of a vision to create a space where voices too often silenced could finally be heard. Founded by Fartumo Kusow, author, advocate, storyteller, and podcaster, the network brings together powerful stories of resilience, caregiving, healing, and change.

What began as a single podcast grew into a platform dedicated to amplifying voices, breaking silences, and building community. Today, We Speake is home to two deeply meaningful shows: Breaking the Silence, Build a Future and My Mother: The Person and the Patient. Together, they open conversations about trauma, identity, caregiving, and the challenges faced by families and communities navigating change.

At its heart, We Speake is a network for storytelling and advocacy . Through real, unfiltered conversations with survivors, caregivers, thought leaders, and changemakers, the network creates a safe and empowering space where listeners can reflect, learn, and imagine new possibilities.

Every story shared on We Speake is an invitation to listen deeply, speak honestly, and act courageously. Because when we share stories, we not only honor our past but also shape a more compassionate and connected future.
