The biggest infrastructure project in San Diego’s history is redefining what’s possible with water.
Pure Water San Diego will divert 32 million gallons of wastewater a day from the Point Loma treatment plant and turn it into purified drinking water — producing up to 83 million gallons daily once fully built, enough to supply nearly half of the city’s water, says Doug Campbell of the City of San Diego. It’s a bold example of how innovation and investment can secure a sustainable, drought-proof future for millions.
