Uncovered Legacy

At the age of 4 years old, Ms. Ethel Youngblood was burning trash with her siblings when a strong wind came through her town, engulfing her in flames. She spent 2.5 years in rehab fighting for her life. The doctors told her parents to prepare for the worst, but by a miracle, she survived to tell the tale. Mrs. Youngblood shares the spiritual connection she had with her Lord and Savior who helped her overcome every obstacle she was up against. After she was told that she could never be with a man, Mrs. Youngblood beat all odds when she was blessed with her eight children, 30 grandchildren, and over 20 great-grandchildren.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Mrs. Youngblood moved to Los Angeles where she went on to work at the Compton Court House, Head Start for the public school district, became a graduate of Cal State Dominguez Hills, a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and most importantly a mother of the Church.
