About the Host
Jeff Moffatt is a lifelong musician, producer, and storyteller with a passion for the songs that shape us. He began playing music at the age of 12 and quickly became a multi-instrumentalist, mastering both guitar and drums. By 16, he was a Canadian National Stage Band Champion, and he has since gone on to perform professionally for over 30 years.
In addition to his work as a musician, Jeff was a nationally ranked competitive freestyle ski athlete, competing across Canada and the United States. His drive and creative spirit later found new expression in business, where he has spent more than three decades as a business owner and entrepreneur in the real estate, hospitality and investment industries.
Jeff also brings a wealth of experience as a podcast host. He was a presenter on the entertainment show Ottawa Living, where he interviewed a wide range of national and international artists, including Stereophonics, Colin Hay, Ron Sexsmith, and many others. His natural curiosity, music industry experience and ability to connect with artists laid the foundation for his unique approach to interviewing on Treasure Island Discs.
As a recording artist, Jeff has released numerous albums and continues to write, produce, and perform both as a solo artist and as a member of the duo Rothwell and Moffatt. When he’s not in the studio or on the mic, you’ll find him on the golf course, playing recreationally and competitively.
He divides his time between Canada and the United States, always searching for new stories, new songs, and meaningful conversations—something he brings to every episode of Treasure Island Discs.
