21. Bear Mountain New York

Just 45 minutes from New York City, Bear Mountain State Park might as well be a million miles away. Let's hit the carousel, visit the Bear Mountain Inn and lament that they took out the fireplace, walk the lake, go see the Bears in the zoo, walk the footbridge over the Hudson River, drive to the top of the mountain and then take Seven Lakes Drive home.
