This week I am joined by Emily Foster, RD a nutritionist and registered dietitian focused on helping women create “gut calm” around menopause with her practice A Gutsy Menopause®.

She works with women to help them manage and overcome gut challenges related to hormonal changes such as acid reflux and heartburn, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, IBS flare-ups and SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth).

Having dealt with her fair share of gut issues herself Emily takes a holistic approach with her clients and incorporates mindfulness, stress management and sometimes even Reiki into her work.

In our conversation we talk about:

* gut symptoms (e.g. heartburn, constipation) you may be experiencing that are actually related to your hormones
* deep dive into acid reflux and constipation and touch on IBS
* why managing stress well is super important for keeping your gut calm, regardless of the issue!
* why any nutritionist who claims they can balance your hormones with food is lying (sorry!)
