Kiana is a wife, mom, author, and lover of wine! Kiana is honored to have achieved the WSET Level 1, 2, and 3 certifications with distinction from Napa Valley Wine Academy, where she
demonstrated advanced knowledge for grape-growing, wine- making, wine theory, and proper wine-assessment. She is currently a candidate for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Diploma certification with American Wine School.

Through her studies, Kiana gained a deep appreciation for wine history, science, and the art of it all! She also loves to build and design websites, cook, garden, crochet, and listen to jazz.

In 2024, Kiana self-published her first book entitled Unpolished Grape 101: The Basics of Wine. She is currently working on her second book which will focus on wine and food pairings.

Kiana chose the name "Unpolished Grape" for her handle and website because it describes the journey of learning about wine, but never truly knowing "it all." The name represents the willingness and commitment to continuously acquire knowledge about the world of wine.
