As PM Carney is off to Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt for the Gaza "Summit for Peace", PM Netanyahu — who had confirmed — backs out "due to the timing's proximity to the beginning of (a Jewish) holiday," which we are supposed to believe either apparently did not exist prior to him having initially confirmed or everyone on his team mysterious forgot at the time of initial confirmation.
We also get into some economics: contrasting employment data between Canada — 106,000 new full time positions in September for a net 60,000 jobs gain — and the U.S. — 32,000 fewer in September with August revised downward showing 3,000 fewer —; contrasting yield rates between 10 and 30 year Canadian and U.S. bonds; a stock market drop on the Dow; and a surprise offer by China, in light of a new massive threat — since TACOed — of new tariffs by the U.S.— to drop its agricultural tariffs on us if we act on our EV, steel, and aluminium tariffs.
