Apologies for the late start; we are having some technical issues at the Ottawa Beaver Lodge, this morning.
Americans and the world watch astoundedly, but without surprise, as officials in the United States appear to be reenacting 1984 in real time, following the assassination of Renee Nicole Good (two others we're hit in Portland, the next day).
The prime minister and premiers will meet on January 29th in Ottawa, just as the Conservative Party convention (and leadership review for rerun) commences.
Doug Ford shows he is not a team player as he overcompensates for overall lack of action (and probably needed a distraction from the whole phone records thing) by attacking Crown Royal (and thus jobs in other provinces). He also, quietly opens the door to some flexibility with China on EVs (while pretending, he stands against lowering tariffs).
