Though she had taken the steps needed to clear everything with the Ethics Commissioner, optics and an incessant very collaborative drumbeat from both the Conservative and NDP camps have caused Chrystia Freeland to announce she will be stepping down officially on Friday.
NDP MP Lori Idlout also claims that there was outreach to seek out her interest in crossing the floor. The manner in which she tells her story is very different than that of CPC MP Scott Anderson who made similar claims, and in the process, making his seem even less credible.
The prime Minister will be visiting China from January 13th to 17th. Very interesting timing considering all the international cards being passed under the table.
