Kristen is a friend of the show, inspirational speaker, suicide prevention warrior, and the 2018 Air Force Spouse of the Year. In this episode, She talks about her upbringing and how her life changed at the age of 15 when she suffered a stroke. As a result, Kristen went from having a promising career in tennis to having to learn how to walk again. She talks about the transition to the University of Texas and meeting her husband, Don. Kristen talks about losing Don to suicide and the rippling effects it had on her entire family. She opens up about the events that led to the disappearance of her oldest son, Ryan. She has provided us the emotion cry for help from her son, Ben on a voice mail he left her on his 20th birthday.
