Greater New Mount Eagle Missionary Baptist Church always has a place in my heart growing up in the 80s and watched the late Reverend James Allen Rodgers preach and hear Lucy Rodgers sing who were also my godparents. Current pioneers in Chicago's community has ministered in Greater New.
Memories I had as a young girl, being in church all day on Sundays, the Tom Thumb weddings, chicken dinners after church, church Teas, mother boards church hats.
First Lady, Lucy Rodgers recorded albums, sang on gospel variety shows, and always dressed to impress, and can perform through ministry like no other.
