EP 83: Developing Joel's Sexuality (1): What I've Learned

In this episode, Tete and I, Fortunus Games, talk about my character, Joel Farber, from her graphic novel, "The Book of Joel" (which you can read here: https://www.fortunusgames.com/current-projects).

We talk about the process I went through to develop Joel's sexuality and how it is an integral part of his personality. In particular, we discuss the following and more:

• Why did it take me so long to realize certain things about Joel?
• Why did I fear focusing too much on Joel's sexual life and his views on his own sexual feelings? Did I feel that it would become too one-note? Did Tete feel similarly regarding her character Andrei's robust sexuality?
• How does Joel's sexuality compare to Tete's Andrei and Kai?
• How does Joel's sexuality change after he forms a relationship with Malka?
