Tyler Perry produced a movie called “Why did I get married?” In it, several couples face difficulties in their marriages that force them to come to terms with the real foundations their marriages were buit on.

In this episode, I tell you about Debra a young woman who got married for the wrong reason & ended up with someone that nearly killed her.

Why do you want to get married?

Some women get married because

• Their biological clock has gone from ticking & is about to explode
• Their friends are doing it
• They want to feel significant-(they think: if someone asks me to marry them, then other people will know that I’m worthy)
• A man has “invested” in them & they feel obligated

It’s important to know your motive for getting married so that if your motive is wrong you can correct it before it’s too late.

Getting into anything with the wrong motive will ALWAYS lead to disappointment & disaster.

It’s also important for you to be aware of men that will knowingly marry you with the wrong motive & take you down a slippery slope of pain.
