"Philadelphia Eagles: Redemption & Revenge Winning Super Bowl LIX"

"Philadelphia Eagles: Redemption & Revenge Winning Super Bowl LIX"

As the confetti fell Sunday night in New Orleans, a surreal moment for a
team who suffered the highest of highs and lows. Getting to the big
game and falling short; a lot of questions about certain players were
answered. For the Philadelphia Eagles, all of which were put to bed as a
blowout win over defending two time champion Kansas City Chiefs.

The score itself 40-22 doesn't serve justice; this Eagles defense made
Patrick Mahomes' life miserable orchestrating six sacks and two
interceptions; one being a pick six by rookie Cooper DeJean. To say
Philadelphia played a clean game with very minimum mistakes is true. A
four man front without blitzing says a lot about the scheme.

Offensively, we knew this Eagles team could score points in bunches.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts made one bad throw on an interception early
on; remaining poised without panicking. Saquon Barkley was held in
check, but it was the receivers who became factors. The dagger came
in a drop of a dime pass to Devonta Smith which put this game out of
reach at 34-0. Eagles were flying high, playing with a sense of urgency.
Keeping their foot on the Chiefs without ceasing. This was over and
Philly could taste the champagne from there. There was no turning
back, it became a moment of redemption in blowing a double digit lead
two seasons ago versus Kansas City. Revenge was completing the task
of defeating the "dynasty" everyone was ready to crown upon a three
peat.

For all this team has been through in four seasons under head coach
Nick Sirianni, his demeanor of "look at me, I'm the coach who wants
credit as well" to seeing raw emotions of a man winning his first Super
Bowl. General manager Howie Roseman has built this team and

maximized their salary cap every year to compete for championships.
No matter the cost, he's the man behind the success as well. I can't say
the same about my beloved Dallas Cowboys (shrugs).

Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts' ability to win the big games have been
answered. In the peak of his prime, this moment will stay with him for a
lifetime. Enshrined in Eagles galore as a Super Bowl winning
quarterback. Hurts' leadership, character and humbleness is what you'd
want in a franchise quarterback. Strong work ethics and having the right
inner circle is beneficial. Sharing a moment with his fiancee, black love
was on display which many overlooked. Either way, Hurts' career is
going to be very promising and getting back to his third Super Bowl will
be challenging.

On the real, Saquon Barkley stuck it to the New York Giants all season
long. Having the best season of his young career, winning a title with
Philadelphia stings for Giants fans. Everyone in the front office should
be fired. Choosing Daniel Jones over Saquon is the biggest, most
damning move in their existence. Playing meaningful football and being
at the Super Bowl means more than having a large contract.

As for the veterans in Lane Johnson, Brandon Graham, Darius Slay,
and those who've been apart of the foundation, who knows what they'll
do next. For Johnson and Graham, two time Super Bowl champions and
likely Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The journey of redemption and
revenge has been completed. Ladies and gentlemen, your Super Bowl
LIX Champions.... The Philadelphia Eagles.
Stai tuned.
