"NFL Week Two Power Rankings: High Scoring Vibes!"

"NFL Week Two Power Rankings: High Scoring Vibes!"

Week One of the 2026 NFL season is a wrap! A lot of scoring would be
the best way to say how it all played out. Teams are preparing to move
past moral victories and regroup for their next challenges. Here are my
top ten teams heading into week two.

1. Seattle Seahawks: 1-0
The defending Super Bowl champions kicked off Wednesday night
football hosting New England. Even with losing quarterback Sam
Darnold early in the game, a defensive battle ensued in their favor.
Despite the 13-10 final score, it was more about Seattle's ability to
overcome adversity early. Relying on backup quarterback Drew Lock
and a head hunting defense, nothing stopped Seattle from intercepting
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye three times.

2. San Francisco 49ers: 1-0
All the whining about traveling to Australia for week one Thursday night,
mission accomplished as the Niners put their division rival Los Angles
Rams on notice. Arriving early to adapt, changing everything fart as
regular routines, it was voiced loud and clear they wanted this game
more than LA. With the return of key players in Nick Bosa, George
Kittle, Fred Warner, it was midseason form and showed up.

3. Chicago Bears: 1-0
"To be the highest scoring team in 2026" has been the mantra for
Chicago and boy did they show why it's going to be problems! Fifty-nine
points scored in Carolina to start the 2026 campaign on a high note.
Third year quarterback Caleb Williams and second year head coach
Ben Johnson put on a clinic against the Panthers defense. No remorse
and still could've score seventy if needed. It's just one game and high
scoring is the objective, Chicago has all the firepower to go toe to toe
with any opponents.

4. Buffalo Bills: 1-0
A statement win to start the season, as Buffalo took a big road victory
over Houston Sunday afternoon. Quarterback Josh Allen continues to
put his team above his shoulders and remind defenses he's still a
superhero. First year head coach Joe Brady dialed up a great game
plan to counter Houston's defensive front. With one hurdle cleared,
Buffalo's season is looking good so far.

5. Baltimore Ravens: 1-0
First year head coach Jesse Minter looked the part as the Ravens
flocked over Indianapolis Sunday afternoon. A new voice, culture and
urgency was on displayed. Quarterback Lamar Jackson was great; as
his teammate Derrick Henry continues to defy the logic of seasoned
running backs. A defense who did damage most of the game and didn't

let up. For Baltimore it's simple: win the games as scheduled without
remorse. Each week is different and will test their character as the
season progresses. In a very winnable division, nobody is safe minus
the Cleveland Browns.

6. Kansas City Chiefs: 1-0
A gruesome finish to 2025 filled with injuries and mystery, the Chiefs
opened their season with a statement division win over Denver Monday
night. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes returned nine months from a
gruesome torn ACL and LCL, there was no half-stepping. With newly
signed running back and Super Bowl MVP from Seattle, Kenneth
Walker III made it look easy for Mahomes. An aging Travis Kelce and
questions at the offensive line, can it sustain success? Kansas City is
looking to make one last run in capturing another Super Bowl in 2026
and send their future first ballot hall of fame tight end off into the sunset.

7. Detroit Lions: 1-0
How many kneecaps did Detroit bite off versus New Orleans? More
than enough to force overtime in which became very tense. Roaring out
the gates early, the Lions should've put the Saints away early. Lack of
focus and defense made this game very nail biting. Overtime was going
to be swung one direction: which defense could stop who? A mishap
and swing of momentum played a vital role. Detroit held on, but the
score is just the understatement. In hindsight, these types of games will

make or break Detroit's playoff chances if tiebreakers are involved.
Overall, the message is clear: run up the scoreboard and loosen up the
lion's mane for a long stride.
8. New York Giants: 1-0
All the hype leading into Sunday night's game versus Dallas, the Giants
showed up and sent a message. This wasn't the New York Giants of
old... It's a new day and head coach John Harbaugh made sure fans got
their tickets worth. Emotional festivities in honor of the twenty-fifth
anniversary of 9/11/2001, the energy was real. Fans haven't felt great in
a decade and a primetime game against their division rival lived up to
what fans hoped for. Second year quarterback Jaxson Dart looked more
comfortable in commanding the huddle and game plan. The offense had
their way with Dallas' defense from start to finish. On the flip side, a
defensive front who'll wreck some havoc without any fear.

9. Los Ángeles Rams: 0-1
A trip to Australia ended with a 27-7 loss to division rival San Francisco.
Even with all the hype and Rams legend Aaron Donald making a
comeback to join a stacked roster, this team looked very flat. Donald
didn't make the trip but just knowing "99" would be ready to go in the
coming weeks. Myles Garrett played the worst game of his career and
now out with a knee injury. Four to six weeks before the Rams can fully
see what their defense will look like. The bigger story wasn't defense; an
offense led by reigning MVP Matthew Stafford looked out of sorts. Was

it the flight with a little bit of sleep? Overreaction to their lackluster
effort? In hindsight, this was needed to reset their morale.

10. Houston Texans: 0-1
With a supreme stacked defense, Houston could beat anybody any
given week. On Sunday versus Buffalo, Texans offense had plenty of
issues. Quarterback CJ Stroud was running around trying to make
splash plays. Running back David Montgomery hasn't slowed down;
having three touchdowns in his debut. Shaky offensive line and erratic
Stroud, Houston's best offense is their defense leading the way. Not
having much to combat Josh Allen with his super hero play and costly
penalties. If Houston can build a lead and run the clock, it works in their
favor. If they have to rely on Stroud to keep it close, it's an appetite for
disaster.

Honorable Mention:
Cincinatti Bengals: 1-0
Arizona Cardinals: 1-0
Pittsburgh Steelers: 1-0
Minnesota Vikings: 1-0
Jacksonville Jaguars: 1-0
