"NFL Power Rankings Week 4: Who Are We To Our Fans?"

A quarter way through the 2026 NFL season and teams are starting to
figure out who they are far as scheme and personnel. Fans watching
every week, getting excited; while avoiding crashing out over tick-tack
penalties. This week's power rankings give fans realistic ideology into
what's happening in real time. Here we go!

1. San Francisco 49ers: 3-0 (Wk 3 ranking: 1st)
A team with very high expectations continue to defy every injury known
to man. Even with losing key starters on both sides, what else could go
wrong and be right at the same time? No matter the time, location,
weather aliments, head coach Kyle Shannahan gets the most out his
team. Quarterback Brock Purdy continues to be among the best young
signal callers. Running back Christian McCaffery can still turn up the
jets; a passing attack with all the bells and whistles. The biggest
concern and still holds merit: injuries in spurts. A daunting task of games
will test their morale and keep cushion ahead of the NFC.

2. Kansas City Chiefs: 3-0 (Wk 3 ranking: 4th)
The biggest surprise three weeks in: Kansas City are back and probably
more feared than ever. A resurgence of quarterback Patrick Mahomes
with running back Kenneth Walker III being the cowbell player needed
to give Mahomes a different dynamic. It's one of those aspects when
opposing teams must be on high alert with their best gameplan. With
having a third place schedule, it's possible the Chiefs impose their will
with no remorse. Even with a highly veteran led defense, don't be
surprised if we're having a discussion about "IF" Kansas City's Super
Bowl run can ramp up and runaway with it all?

3. Buffalo Bills: 3-0 (Wk 3 ranking: 3rd)

Another home game with atrocious play calling and sloppy offense,
Buffalo managed to escape a desperate LA Chargers team who clearly
can't rely on Justin Herbert. With five turnovers and playing their D+
game with a win, have the Bills hit full stride too early? Josh Allen is still
on a burner to win another MVP; offense is solid but not even remotely
close to being dominant. Turnovers are going to be the detrimental flaw
as each week passes. Defensively, they don't really have guys who
can't make big stops. In a league full with potent offenses, defense will
have to clamp down and stop opposing teams from scoring points.
Buffalo wins and loses with Allen being reckless at times. IF and I mean
IF Buffalo runs into Kansas City en route to the postseason, aligning
your betting odds one will slay the giant.

4. Minnesota Vikings: 3-0 (Wk 3 ranking: 6th)
Defense, defense and more defense is the storyline to their undeniable
start. Brian Flores' unit can fluster and slow down offenses each week.
Quarterback Kyler Murray may have found a new home for the time
being, but is it sustainable for success? Wide receivers are among top
seven in football, but comes to Murray and Wentz reliability. Now that
former first round pick JJ McCarthy has been traded, the Vikings best
hope is winning enough games to avoid wasting a season with
superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson smiling. Long as this defense is
suffocating offenses, Minnesota can go far as they want to.

5. Chicago Bears: 2-1 (Wk 3 ranking: 6th)
Losing quarterback Caleb Williams for a few weeks, it didn't show
Monday night versus Philadelphia. Veteran Case Keenum who hadn't
threw a football in roughly two years lit up a vaunted Eagles defense.
Playing a near perfect game, there was no missing steps. Credit, head
coach Ben Johnson is stating his case for Coach Of The Year without
his star quarterback. Stacked offense who play fast and in control, I
don't expect the Bears to slow down. Dennis Allen's defense had their

best game of the season allowing just seven points to Philadelphia.
Biggest concern for Chicago: Williams' health and strength of schedule
in a very tough NFC North. With Super Bowl expectations, can this team
take flight and roam free into the woods?

6. Jacksonville Jaguars: 2-1 (Wk 3 ranking: 10th)
A bounce back home win against New England, Jacksonville made sure
Drake Maye felt their claws ripping through jerseys and pads. In the
grand scheme of things, quarterback Trevor Lawrence can be really
good or... Give you mulligan games with bad decisions and look like a
mid tier quarterback. Defensively, it's solid and can play up or down to
competition. Having a first place schedule and a very short window in
winning now, head coach Liam Cohen must bring out every ounce of
energy in competing with the league's best teams.

7. Seattle Seahawks: 2-1 (Wk 3 ranking: 2nd)
A flight to the east coast and play Washington prove to be not what was
ordered. Losing to the lowly Commaders, Seattle needed a moral loss
to reset their identity. Not the greatest game in horrible weather
conditions but not excusable to let a desperate team in Washington out
class you. With Sam Darnold back under center, this offense was okay
but not great. Defense battled and kept it afloat but even the potent
teams can be gotten any given week. In a quest to repeat, Seattle
needs a soft reset and calibrate their identity. A daunting schedule, ultra
competitive NFC West and every team giving their best gameplays,
Seattle must stay the course; while eliminating simple mistakes. It's not
exactly a tall task, but every game matters from here on out.

8. Denver Broncos: 2-1 (Wk 3 ranking: N/A)
Another fourth quarter rally on Sunday night; as the Broncos ponied up
Los Angeles in what became a controversial pass interference.
Quarterback Bo Nix finally woke up and everything clicked at the right

time. Credit, it's not ideal for this to happen every week but by golly the
clock will run against Denver. These fourth quarter heroics and climatic
finishes aren't sustainable. With a very good defense who play with a
physical brand, it points to the offense starting fast from kickoff. First
year offensive coordinator Davis Webb has caught criticism early in his
tenure far as being too pass happy versus running the football. For
Denver to become a true Super Bowl contender, putting Nix in better
spots helps. Playing from behind isn't ideal and further risks losing close
games. With their division getting more aggressive, Kansas City and
Las Vegas will give them a run moving forward.

9. Philadelphia Eagles: 2-1 (Wk 3 ranking: 7th)
Playing soft and lacking an identity caused rotten eggs to hatch in
Chicago Monday night; as Philadelphia overestimated Case Keenum's
playmaking ability. Quarterback Jalen Hurts took a big hit and had to be
in concussion protocol for a play; the drive resulted in an Andy Dalton
red zone interception. Head coach Nick Sirianni has yet to grow up as
coach by not antagonizing players in calling them unnecessary names I
won't mention. It's the type of behavior which is caught on hot mic and
trying to walk it back during pressers. Offensively, this team is still
adapting to being free flowing. Everyone gets involved and makes plays
as needed. Defensively, little to be desired in part of no sense of
urgency once kickoff started. It's these types of tone setters players feed
off and nobody showed up. For Philly, getting the run game established
opens up and creates mismatches outside. There's not too many big
plays at the moment, but on a short week hosting the LA Rams, who'll
be more desperate?

10. Los Angeles Rams: 1-2 (Wk 3 ranking: 9th)
An up and down game Sunday night in Denver, LA is going through a
slow start to high expectations of winning a Super Bowl. Starting fast,
yet losing on a controversial pass interference call is still stinging

deeply. Is it time to panic with the Rams? No, remember they started
2025 slow and made it to the NFC title game versus Seattle. Reigning
MVP Matthew Stafford has moments of slinging it deep and crucial
throws which flip the field for opponents. Offensive line is still shaky but
decent enough to protect Stafford. Defensively, the addition of Aaron
Donald is a work in progress minus Myles Garrett. A revamped
secondary must be in lockstep with coordinator Chris Shula. When
Garrett returns, we'll see the full defensive potential and be ready to
wreck havoc.
