"New York Jets: Justin Can't See The Fields"
Another week with drama and meltdowns, the New York Jets can't take
flight. Even if going to London for a matchup versus the Denver
Broncos, grounded before playing. Jets quarterback Justin Fields had
one of the worst days any player could have: finishing a game with
minus ten passing yards. As Shaggy from Scooby-Doo says: "zoinks!"
Head coach Aaron Glenn defended his quarterback during postgame
availability. In which he nearly went scorched on reporters about Fields'
play. For one, a quarterback having several minus passing yards raises
questions about Fields as it's his fifth year in the league and no
progression. This feels as if Glenn is playing Fields due to the contract
and coaching for his job. After bad clock management before halftime,
the Jets looked like they didn't know what was going on.
Star wide receiver Garrett Wilson let his emotions boil over at Glenn for
bad clock management. Yes, it was caught on camera during the
broadcast. This team's flight has never been as atrocious... Wait, there's
been multiple occasions in which New York can't find their pilot to fly this
team. Falling to 0-6 and no improvement, these are the matters in which
head coaches are fired.
Glenn's first year has been a disaster and losing the morale of his team
becomes a lost cause. Veteran Tyrod Taylor is there, but will Glenn give
him the opportunity to play and save the season? I don't care about the
contract of Fields... He can't see it by any means and his play shows!
How many more games will it take for Glenn to say "enough?" He's dug
himself a hole and going down with Fields each week. The other New
York team have their guy in Jaxson Dart; while the Jets keep kicking
tires on guys who can't see the field upon passing.
If Aaron Glenn makes it to the end of 2025, will his record be 0-17 with
New York having the first pick in 2026? What are the chances Tyrod
Taylor starts and they win at least seven games? Either way, the
quarterback conversation grows increasingly tense as to rather Fields
keeps the starting job or Taylor saves the day.
Jets defense did their jobs Sunday, but the offense... Well, I've broke it
down in the previous paragraphs. Only saving grace is their offensive
line and defense who only gave up thirteen points. Any team will take
that, but when your offense fails to accumulate big plays, it's wasting
their hard earned efforts. You can lose games, but not your locker room.
For the Jets, both are getting heavier with self infliction of bad football.
