Mike Guido's 1st Round Analysis & SUPER MOCK DRAFT For The 2025 NFL Draft

Mike Guido's 1st Round Analysis & SUPER MOCK DRAFT For The 2025 NFL Draft

Mike Guido’s Final 2025 NFL Mock Draft

It’s Christmas in April! This year’s NFL Draft is expected to be one of the most interesting in
recent years despite not having the strongest talent. There are plenty of wild cards that many
are in the dark on, but could impact everything else. As it is every year, we won’t know for
certain until the chimes ring in.

This 7-round mock draft is based on both what I’ve heard and what I’ve seen. This is not a mock
draft where I am acting as every team’s GM. Here’s where I stand just a few hours before the
draft begins.

Round 1:
1. Tennessee Titans- Cam Ward (QB, Miami)

I, along with most others, am fairly certain this is how this pick will shake out. At one
point, Abdul Carter was considered the favorite, but Cam Ward has emerged as the
future QB of the Titans. His arm is his most attractive trait with solid throwing strength
and release speed. I would fully expect him to be the top pick and to take over for Will
Levis as the franchise guy in Tennessee.

2. Cleveland Browns- Travis Hunter (CB/WR, Colorado)
The closer we get to draft night, the more this also feels like a lock. The Browns need a
franchise QB, but all things are pointing to them not being in love with Shedeur Sanders
or any other QB with this pick. Hunter is one of the more rare talents we’ve seen in a
long time with his ability to potentially play both sides of the ball. I would expect the
Browns, or any team that drafts him for that matter, to at least try him on both sides.

3. New York Giants- Abdul Carter (DE, Penn State)
This is where it starts to get funky. Carter feels like the pick right now despite the Giants
not having an immediate need on the edge. With Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux,
Carter feels like a luxury more than a necessity. However, recent reports have come out
that the Giants may be interested in trading Thibodeaux before they need to extend
him. Carter is a top tier talent on the edge and could have been the top pick in this draft.
His first step and explosiveness are second to none and he projects to be a top of the
line pass rusher in the NFL.

4. New England Patriots- Will Campbell (OT, LSU)
Based on everything I’ve heard, the Patriots have done very extensive work on Will
Campbell and love him. If Hunter and Carter are off the board, it feels like Campbell is
the pick. Some project him to play guard because of concerns about his arm length, but
Campbell has long been considered the best offensive lineman in the draft. The Pats

need help on their line protecting Drake Maye and Will Campbell gives you some high-
level athleticism and versatility.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars- Mason Graham (DT, Michigan)
The Jags have had a flurry of rumors circling around their pick in recent days, but I can’t
shake the feeling of Mason Graham being a perfect fit for this defense. It is definitely
reasonable to predict Tetairoa McMillan or Ashton Jeanty in this spot, but Graham has
been tied to the Jaguars for so long and could be considered one of the blue-chip
prospects in this class. His combination of run-stopping and pass rushing ability are rare
for an interior defensive lineman, and he fits perfectly in Jacksonville.

6. Las Vegas Raiders- Ashton Jeanty (RB, Boise State)
This almost feels like Jeanty’s floor at this point. The Bears and Cowboys I’m sure would
love for him to fall a bit farther, but I can’t see it happening. The Raiders are in
desperate need for a running back and Jeanty could very easily be the best overall
prospect in the draft. The season he just put together for the Broncos was one of the
best in college football history. His contact balance and finishing ability are among the
best I’ve ever seen. It wouldn’t surprise me if a team tried to get in front of the Raiders
here to snatch him up.

7. New York Jets- Armand Membou (OT, Missouri)
The Jets are an interesting team because they can truly go in several different
directions. They have done a ton of work on Tyler Warren and I also view them as a dark
horse for Shedeur Sanders. However, Membou has also been heavily tied to the Jets and
after drafting Olu Fashanu last year, the Jets can finally have those bookend tackles
they’ve been yearning for years. Membou is a beast on the outside with outrageously
strong hands. Many view him as the draft’s top tackle, and it’s possible he doesn’t make
it to this spot because of his upside.

8. Carolina Panthers- Jalon Walker (LB, Georgia)
I’ve heard several different things about the Panthers, but Jalon Walker feels like the
guy at this point. They’ve been fairly adamant about improving their defensive line,
especially on the edge, and Walker gives them the edge rusher/linebacker hybrid that
fills that need. He’s a freak athlete that fits the mold of what Carolina likes in defensive
players. I think Walker has settled into the top 10 and Carolina feels like the landing
spot.

9. New Orleans Saints- Tyler Warren (TE, Penn State)
This pick is the hardest of the draft so far to predict. All reports are seemingly ruling out
Shedeur Sanders here and the Vegas odds are dropping the Saints off in favor of the
Giants, Steelers, etc. Tyler Warren is the most consistent thing I’ve heard regarding the

Saints. I’ve also heard Mykel Williams, but at this point, I think Warren is the pick. You
have several teams fighting over him and I wouldn’t be shocked with a trade down
scenario or somebody leap-frogging the Saints to get him, but his size and athleticism
from the tight end position has teams drooling.

10. Chicago Bears- Kelvin Banks (OT, Texas)
The Bears need to protect Caleb Williams and they definitely have an interest in
improving in the trenches. Offensive and defensive line are high on their priority list.
However, a name to watch out for might be Omarion Hampton. Ben Johnson is coming
from a system with two running backs and pairing him with D’Andre Swift might be
enticing. Banks is a monster who saw a lot of a production at Texas. Whether he plays
guard or tackle, he’ll be a solid starter for a long time.

11. San Francisco 49ers- Will Johnson (CB, Michigan)
It feels like the Niners are debating between defensive line and corner here without a
real solid answer leaning one way or the other. Mykel Williams, Shemar Stewart, and
Jahdae Barron are other names to look for here, but Johnson is a very complete corner
with tons of upside. There are concerns about his straight line speed, but his zone
coverage skills are among the best in the draft. I’d expect him to go higher than some
people expect. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a trade down here either.

12. Dallas Cowboys- Tetairoa McMillan (WR, Arizona)
Wide receiver seems like the Cowboys’ top priority at this point in the process. If they
find themselves in this scenario, it should come down to McMillan or Matthew Golden,
but I expect McMillan to be the guy. Multiple reports have said they love McMillan and
the idea of pairing a large redzone threat with great hands with Ceedee Lamb on the
outside. For a team that struggled mightily at the goalline last season, T-Mac would be a
homerun pick for them.

13. Miami Dolphins- Jahdae Barron (CB, Texas)
I’ve sort of settled on corner here for the Dolphins, whether it be Barron or Johnson.
Outside of Jalen Ramsey, they have virtually nothing in that room, and rumors are
circling that they could look to trade Ramsey. Barron is a versatile corner that has risen
up boards drastically over the course of the last few months. Teams have fallen in love
with his ball skills and physicality causing him to fly up boards. I’d fully expect him to not
fall out of the top 20 picks.

14. Indianapolis Colts- Colston Loveland (TE, Michigan)
The third Michigan player taken in the first 14 picks, Loveland is an absolute stud as a
pass-catcher. He leaves much to be desired as a blocker, but it gives Anthony Richardson
a security blanket that should improve his completion percentage. The Colts have done

extensive work on Tyler Warren and are looking to improve at tight end. Loveland would
be an excellent consolation prize.

15. Atlanta Falcons- Mike Green (DE, Marshall)
One of the worst kept secrets in the NFL is Atlanta’s desire to draft an edge rusher with
a premium pick. For a team with only five picks in this draft, it isn’t unreasonable to
consider a trade down, but they’ve been in desperate need of a pass rusher for along
team, and Mike Green fits the bill. He’s a freakishly athletic edge player with tons of
bend and burst. Despite the off-field concerns, the Falcons could be getting a potential
top tier pass rusher here.

16. Arizona Cardinals- Mykel Williams (DE, Georgia)
The Cardinals will likely address the defensive line at this spot, though it isn’t a
guarantee. I’ve heard a lot about Mykel Williams, but also look out for Shemar Stewart
and maybe even Matthew Golden here. Williams fits their need for an edge rusher and
rumors have said they were impressed with him. Williams seems to be moving up
boards in the final days, so this could be a good landing spot for him.

17. Cincinnati Bengals- Shemar Stewart (DE, Texas A&M)
The first Shemar from Texas A&M lands with the Bengals and it’s a perfect fit. Stewart
has the size and strength to play virtually any position on the defensive line, and for a
team in need of massive defensive help, he fits perfectly. Rumors have also circulated
around the idea of trading Trey Hendrickson, so an edge rusher should be on the top of
the list for them.

18. Seattle Seahawks- Grey Zabel (OG, North Dakota State)
I went back and forth on Zabel or Tyler Booker here, but Zabel seems to fit them a bit
more. Zabel has skyrocketed up boards throughout the process and word on the street
is that Seattle really likes him. I fully expect the Seahawks to address the offensive line,
which they’ve struggled to solve since before Russell Wilson was there. They have
interest in the top guys, but I can’t see them being in a realistic position to draft them.
Zabel gives them some versatility at a position of need.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Jihaad Campbell (LB, Alabama)
The Bucs have been tied to Jihaad Campbell for forever and I haven’t heard anything
that strays me away from that notion. Campbell can be viewed as the best pure inside
linebacker in the draft, and the Bucs have been looking for a Lavonte David
replacement. He’s a pure hard-nosed tackler and can quarterback a defense. He’s one of
the better blitzers at linebacker in the draft and should thrive when let loose. Campbell
feels like the guy to fill that void.

20. Denver Broncos- Omarion Hampton (RB, North Carolina)
The Broncos might have some scar tissue when it comes to drafting North Carolina
running backs after Javonte Williams didn’t work out, but Hampton is a different animal.
Hampton is a truck that has real solid speed and contact balance. Bo Nix showed a lot of
positive signs last season, but giving him a top tier tailback can help take the pressure
off the young QB. Especially one with as much upside as Hampton.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers- Shedeur Sanders (QB, Colorado)
Here it is. Sanders finally comes off the board to Pittsburgh outside of the top 20 after
presumably being a top 5 pick for most of the process. Sanders is truly the biggest wild
card in the entire draft. Wherever he lands can change everything. However, in this
scenario, the Steelers finally get their answer at QB after Kenny Pickett didn’t work out
and letting go of both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Sanders is an accurate thrower
with solid scramble ability. He doesn’t have the strongest arm, but he should fit in a
Steelers offense where they run the football heavily and rely on the trenches.

22. Los Angeles Chargers- Kenneth Grant (DT, Michigan)
Kenneth Grant reunites with his old college coach as the Chargers address their
defensive line. This is an area that drastically needs help on both the edge and the
interior. Grant has been tied to the Chargers and he fits well. His size and athleticism
work well within that defense, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they focused heavily on the
defensive line early in this draft. A wide receiver isn’t out of the question, but this group
is scarce for talent at the moment, especially after moving on from Joey Bosa.

23. Green Bay Packers- Maxwell Hairston (CB, Kentucky)
The Packers need some help in the secondary and even though the top 3 corners are
gone, I can’t imagine that stops them from addressing the need early in the draft.
Hairston is a speed demon who tested out of the water at the combine. The Packers
have already said that they fully expect to spend most of their draft picks on the
defensive side of the football, which should shock nobody. I’d expect a corner or a
defensive lineman in this spot and maybe a wide receiver a bit later.

24. Minnesota Vikings- Malaki Starks (S, Georgia)
The first safety comes off the board here to the Vikings with Starks. It’s a big position of
need for them and Starks is arguably the best in the class along with Nick Emmanwori.
He’s a phenomenal athlete that can track down the ball and effectively get down in the
box and stop the run. He’s truly a complete safety. Don’t be shocked if you see them
trade out of the first round or at least further down since they only have four total picks
as of now. The Vikings could look to pair up with a team looking to snag a player in front
of Houston or the Rams.

25. Houston Texans- Tyler Booker (OG, Alabama)
The latest rumor has the Texans nailing down an offensive lineman and they love Tyler
Booker. Booker is an absolute mauler on the interior offensive line who should do well
in a run-based system. For a team that has Joe Mixon and CJ Stroud, who isn’t a massive
scrambler, Booker makes sense bodying people on the inside. The Texans just let go of
Laremy Tunsil and need to replenish this offensive line. I would expect them to use
multiple high-value picks in this area.

26. Los Angeles Rams- Matthew Golden (WR, Texas)
Finally, Matthew Golden comes off the board. It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if
we saw Golden go much higher than this, especially if a team were to trade up for him.
He was the top option for Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning at Texas this past season and
he tested very well at the combine running a sub-4.30 forty. He’s been rising up boards,
so if the Rams can nab him here after moving on from Cooper Kupp, it would be one of
the steals of the draft.

27. Baltimore Ravens- Nick Emmanwori (S, South Carolina)
There are several people that consider Nick Emmanwori the top safety in the class with
his speed and versatility. His athleticism is off the charts and he’s firmly cemented
himself in the first round discussion. The Ravens could kill two birds with one stone with
this pick. He’s a bona fide safety that can play right away, but he can also play corner in
some sets and Baltimore has a need in both areas. Emmanwori feels like a pick that the
Ravens would make and people would wonder why they didn’t think of it. They are
prioritizing the defensive side of the football and Emmanwori fills multiple needs.

28. Detroit Lions- Derrick Harmon (DT, Oregon)
The Lions are reportedly keep an eye on virtually every defensive position, especially the
defensive tackle market. They need some help on the edge and at corner, but they opt
for a defensive tackle that can play a versatile role for them on their defensive line.
Harmon has the size and athleticism to play anywhere Dan Campbell needs him. He
plays with a high motor and has a mean streak in him, so he should fit right in with their
defensive identity.

29. Washington Commanders- Emeka Egbuka (WR, Ohio State)
The Commanders seem to be interested in improving their offensive personnel in the
draft despite adding Deebo Samuel in the offseason. It wouldn’t surprise me if they took
a running back in this spot, but Egbuka gives them a bit more value and I find it more
likely at this point that they lean to a wide receiver. Egbuka is a safe receiver that
doesn’t have the upside of a potential number one option, but he has an insanely high
floor and should have a very long NFL career.

30. Buffalo Bills- Walter Nolen (DT, Ole Miss)
The Bills have kept things fairly close to the vest throughout the process, but I would
imagine that a defensive piece is their top priority. Walter Nolen has some off the field
issues, but Orchard Park is a community-friendly town and the Bills are a top tier
organization. His talent is off the charts and would easily be a top 15 pick if not for his
concerns, so Buffalo could maximize his potential after seeing some other breakouts on
their defensive line last season.

31. Kansas City Chiefs- Josh Simmons (OT, Ohio State)
If not for the injuries, we could’ve been talking about Simmons as this year’s top tackle.
Instead, the Chiefs nab an extremely high upside pick at the tail end of the first round.
Simmons is a monster with exceptional footwork and great hands. If healthy, I see no
reason why he can’t be a top tier left tackle at the next level. The Chiefs could very
easily look to trade up, and they haven’t shied away from that notion. In this case, they
don’t have to with Simmons falling right in their lap.

32. Philadelphia Eagles- James Pearce Jr. (DE, Tennessee)
This pick should make people want to throw up. James Pearce was once considered this
draft’s top edge rusher until some off field and work ethic concerns tanked his stock.
Even with all of that, Pearce finds himself on the back end of the first round going to a
team that gets the best out of virtually everyone they pick up. Pearce would fill a need
for the defending Superbowl champs as they need help on the edge with high upside
player. It’s a strong defensive line and Pearce makes it even stronger.

Round 2:
1. Cleveland Browns- Jalen Milroe (QB, Alabama)
2. New York Giants- Shavon Revel Jr. (CB, East Carolina)
3. Tennessee Titans- Luther Burden III (WR, Missouri)
4. Jacksonville Jaguars- Azareye’h Thomas (CB, Florida State)
