"Eastern Conference Finals Preview: Bright Lights & Blue Collar Grit"

Welcome to New York, the city which never sleeps. Bright lights filled
with movie stars. Big names who've graced the city far as sports and
new faces make their names. The Mecca of Basketball lives here in
Madison Square Garden. Legendary postseason performances which
last eternity beyond basketball galore. New York Knicks have waited a
few days between series; their opponent: the Cleveland Cavaliers.

New York Knicks:
Back to back Eastern conference finals, the Knicks look to cash-in their
ticket for an NBA Finals appearance. Boat racing Atlanta without cause
for concern. Sweeping the Philadelphia 76ers who had more to lose
than gain. Led by point guard Jalen Brunson, New York's chances will
rely solely on his shoulders. Playing maximum minutes and continuing
to get this team to tougher bouts will be tested.

Karl Anthony-Towns is the x-factor if the Knicks can win this series. With
a guy whose motor can be stagnant and bad body language, it will be
his own play to hinder any remote chance. Anthony-Towns has faired
his share of criticism and this series will be the tall tale if he can join the
success. Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, Mitchell Robinson can be solid
contributors. It comes down to their big man's body language and
keeping poise.
Another disadvantage for New York, head coach Mike Brown is back in
familiar territory. In the East Finals since 2009, where his former team
Cleveland couldn't overcome Orlando with reigning MVP LeBron James.
That was moon ages ago and likely can be somewhat of low hanging
fruit. Even if the going gets tough, Brown can make it more difficult than
needed.

Cleveland Cavaliers:
For the first time since 2018 post LeBron James era, Cleveland reaches
the East Finals. A hard fought seven game series versus Detroit, it's
going to be even more of a grind. Donavan Mitchell has reached his first
conference finals after seasons of playoff heartbreak not getting past
the second round. A moral accomplishment and sigh of relief in
hindsight. James Harden has been hot, cold, bold and all over the court
during this playoff run.

Cleveland's role players in Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, Max Struss and
any other guy will need to be laser focused. Mitchell has to show up and
score at least twenty-five for this series and stay within distance. Having
Allen and Mobley play outside opens up the rim for Mitchell to dominate.
New York's defense is solid but when you're the road team, getting a
win is crucial. Sending a message and stealing home court puts you in a
good spot.

Head coach Kenny Atkinson will need to out scheme Mike Brown in
order for this series to be extended. Pushing all the right buttons,
playing chess and gritty lineups work in his favor. Superstars have to be
great, role players must be on point. It's the classic spotlight series with
blue collar work ethics series. Only one will advance and represent the
Eastern conference for a chance to compete for a championship.
