"A Christmas Gift For Sports Fans Part Two"
Twas the night before Christmas, all was calm, peaceful, colorful with
lights twinkling across the room. Fans went to sleep with smiles on their
faces after leaving family parties and celebrating laughter. Knowing
Christmas morning would be awesome to sit around the tree opening
presents. On this jammed packed day, we've been gifted great football
and basketball games.
The NBA has gifted us marquee matchups with aging superstars who
can still play elite level basketball. A day full of must see television to
start your morning. Rising superstars will look to add their name to
Christmas Day galore with wins. It's tradition to have basketball on
Christmas for long as I can remember. NBA fans will rock their team
spirit while eating dinner or light snacks.
One aspect NBA gets right is planning games want to see. I've always
viewed it as the real season beginning in part of the first two months are
carryovers from preseason. The NBA on Christmas brings out new
sneaker debuts, holiday themed to be exact. Seeing young children be
presented gifts at center court prior to tip-off. Players in the holiday
spirit; while competing.
We've been spoiled with greatness all these years that it's the twilight
years of LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant; while young new
faces in Jalen Brunson, SGA, Anthony Edwards, Luka Doncic, Cooper
Flagg look to carry the mantle of NBA on Christmas Day. A new
generation of players become household names as well. Kids will sit
and watch as parents clean up the wrapping paper left behind to stay
occupied.
It's the time of year where Christmas and basketball dominate the
airwaves in front of the NFL. A friendly competition to see who'll
dominate ratings and bragging rights. Nevertheless, the day is full of
gifts for sports fans. From all of us here at The Gryd Network, we wish
you a very Merry Christmas.
