Finding focus in a world full of distractions can feel impossible. Here’s a strategy that works, especially if you’re prone to procrastination (ADHD folks, this one’s for you) from our guest in episode 354, Cindy Baker, a brilliant and passionate ADHD productivity coach.
- Start by clearing all distractions. Silence notifications, tell everyone to leave you alone, and maybe even put your phone in another room.
- Use a *visual timer* (yes, even a kitchen timer works!). Being able to see time ticking down creates urgency, helping your brain stay on track.
- Set the timer for 25 minutes. It’s short enough to maintain focus but long enough to get real work done.
- Use these 25 minutes intentionally—no multitasking. Just one “big rock” task.
When you use time *with intention*, even a short burst can help you accomplish more than you think. How do you handle distractions and stay on track during the workday? Share your favorite tips below!
