Got a thousand ideas but stuck trying to choose one to actually bring to life? This passionate creative coach reveals how God led her to give up a secure job in the military to follow God's call, and how she now helps creatives to get unstuck and back on track.

Got a thousand ideas but stuck trying to choose one to actually bring to life?

Maybe you're chasing your God-given creative gifts, but the ideas keep pulling you in different directions and you're not sure where to start. Or maybe you've hit a crossroads where God is calling you toward something creative, and you're scared to trust Him fully and go for it.

If any of that sounds familiar, this conversation is for you.

Today we're talking with Yany Isaacs, founder of Coaching with Yany and the CreateHER coaching program. She's a Navy veteran and creative coach who has spent the last seven years helping creators, especially women, stop splitting themselves into pieces for social media and start building a brand around their entire God-given identity.

In this episode, we get into:

  • Why she chose to follow God's call and walk away from a secure career in the Navy
  • Why so many talented creators stay stuck in the idea phase
  • Why Yany chose the rainbow as her symbol of God's creative purpose
  • The test God puts in front of every creator who has shown up to empty seats, wondering if anyone's listening
  • How to hold onto consistency and trust the process, even when the results aren't showing up yet

Are you that kind of creator? You know, the one that has a thousand ideas, but can't seem to choose one and actually make it a reality? Are you a creative person trying to get started, make an impact, and use your God-given creative gifts, but you've got so many ideas pulling you in all different directions and you can never quite figure out which one to start with, or you've hit a crossroads where God is pulling you toward a creative dream, but you're scared to trust him fully and go for it? If any of those statements hit home,

This conversation today is for you. To help you with those issues, we're talking with Yany Isaacs, founder of Coaching with Yany and the CreateHers brand. She's a Navy veteran, a creative coach, and someone who spent the last seven years helping creators, especially women, to stop splitting themselves into pieces for social media and to start building a brand around their entire identity instead of just one slice of it. Her own story goes through military service, a season of searching, and a creative awakening.

that completely reordered what she believed she was allowed to do with her gifts.

We're getting into why so many talented creators stay stuck in the idea phase. Way Yany chose the rainbow as her symbol of God's creative purpose and the test that God puts in front of every creator who's shown up to empty seats and wondered if anybody's listening. If you're new here, my name is Alan C. Paul, and this is the God and Gig Show, where we help you to become the creator that you were created to be.

And by the end of this episode, you're going to have a different way to think about consistency. Be more confident in your identity, and you'll know how to trust the process, even when the results aren't showing up yet.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (01:41)
Yany Isaacs, welcome to the God and Gigs Show. How are you?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (01:45)
I'm doing good. Thank you for having me.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (01:48)
It's absolutely a pleasure. Look, I have been a social media fan of yours for a while now. I finally got up the nerve to reach out and say, hey, would you like to be part of the podcast? Because I do feel us as faith-focused, God chasing creators need to stick together.

So some people are meeting you for the first time if they're not following you on social media or haven't connected with your work anyway. So when you meet people for the first time, coffee shop, grocery store, you're just being yourself, you're at home, you're relaxing, what do you want people to know about you, the person upon first meeting?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (02:22)
Ooh, okay, so if I'm meeting someone, ⁓ I usually say I'm a wife, I'm a daughter of God, I am a creative coach, a purpose pusher. I help ⁓ women and creatives that have a thousand ideas actually be able to birth and build them in a way that glorifies God, in a way that they are not compromising their faith.

Which I know is one of the foundations of your brand too. ⁓ and yeah, I love what I do. I'm a Navy veteran. I have been ⁓ serving at my local church. So I'm involved in church. ⁓ I've I oversee the media and marketing department. So I don't just have a business, but I serve within, you know, the ministry church space as well. So it's ministry marketplace. ⁓ and

Yeah, that's a little bit about me. That's probably what I would share. I know it's a lot. Depends. Depends how long I'm talking to this person, but yeah.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (03:27)
that the thing that would absolutely open the door is how interesting each of those areas are. You mentioned ministry, but then you mentioned Navy, military, right? You mentioned ministry and these all these areas where I could see somebody who's again meeting you for the first time. It's like, well, wait a minute. Tell me about that. Tell me about that. And then you could open all these layers to what you really are about, you know, when you do

step into those areas of calling and mission and all that kind of stuff. So I do have to kind of ask about the creative side and kind of like the genesis of where did you even get this feeling of being a creative? Because you are a coach now, but you're also clearly because you're working in media, you've worked in film, you've worked with artists, you've worked with these other things where you have to be like the person. So did that start early in life? Were you a kid kind of playing with crayons or with you know taking pictures? You know, what was the

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (04:18)
Ha ha ha.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (04:20)
thing that kind of was like gravitating to you at an if it if it was at an early age.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (04:26)
Yes, it was at early age. I think most creatives start when they're young. They're always creative, you know. ⁓ for me, there wasn't a specific realm or facet of creativity. I feel like I have been drawn to multiple throughout my childhood. So ⁓ I would say I would always say like my brother would be outside or in his room. Like he'd be outside playing basketball in or in his room studying, and my sisters would be would be playing Barbies. But if you found me

As a child, I would most likely be in my room creating. I would have been playing the piano. I would have been writing poetry. I would have been trying to start a YouTube channel. Like I asked my mom for a camera when I was young. I was like, I want to be a YouTuber. literally, I just love to create. I wanted to be a fashion designer. I wanted to be a cook. I wanted to be like a baker. There was everything, everything under the sun I wanted to be. Anything creative I wanted to do.

I've just always been creative since a young child, making music, literally everything. So I feel like I've always been a creative. I never struggled to feel creative. I just more so struggled to think that I could do it for a living.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (05:36)
Mm, that's a key word. Do it for a living, right? Because we have this. I always say this is one of my favorite quotes from Picasso that every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain one once you grow up. And yeah, it it applies to so many of us. And I feel like we have to give people permission.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (05:48)
that's good, right?

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (05:56)
in a sense to remain artists because we all have something in us that enjoys that area of just creating and having fun and creating joy out of it. Now you mentioned the military and that's obviously what feels like a 180 from everything you just described. So tell us a little bit about that, about your experience, like how did that happen as far as your serving? You know, we we thank you for your service, but clearly like I said, this is another chapter of your life.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (06:11)
Yeah.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (06:23)
that maybe, you know, I don't know, at this point was God calling you or kind of pushing you in certain directions. How did that military service enter into your life and if how did it impact your your whole mindset?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (06:23)
Mm-hmm.

So again, I had a fear that I couldn't make it as a creative. So I, outside of creativity, the next thing that I really wanted to do was travel the world. So ⁓ I knew I was in ROTC within high school at the time, and I knew that if I had enlisted into the Navy, that I may not have been able to create, but at least I could travel the world. So I ended up

settling as far as like what I envisioned my life to be creatively and just said, okay, if I can't have the full picture, at least I can have this part. And that's why I ended up enrolling or enlisting into the military. I enlisted at 17, actually left for bootcamp at 18. And it wasn't necessarily a God-led thing. I wouldn't say that I really surrendered my life to God until a couple of years actually into my service.

So I didn't even really ⁓ I knew about God growing up, but I didn't have a life surrender to God. I didn't have a creativity surrender to God, which is where consecration comes in later in life, you know. ⁓ but yeah, I I would say that the decision to join was really from a fear mentality, a scarcity mentality, a lack of identity, a lack of purpose, and clear direction from God and knowing who I was in God and what God wanted me to do.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (07:59)
now that's powerful because admitting that and yet seeing that God clearly led you through that season, right? Because you said sometime in that time you did, you know, fully surrender that some time at point during that service, I mean, I'm sure you did get to travel the world. I'm sure you did fulfill some of your dreams, but it wasn't like you said, the full picture of what God had for you. So what was the next step? Was it?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (08:17)
Yes.

Mm-hmm.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (08:25)
A ⁓ for me, I call it a two by four when God hits you with a two by four and he's like, get back in line or get over here, you know. So sometimes he whispers and sometimes he pushes. So what was it like for you? Like where did the creative dream come back into focus?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (08:34)
Okay.

Okay, so when I s so a couple years into my service, I ended up surrendering my life to Jesus. You know, I have one of those a when life starts going the wrong way and you're just you've reached the end of yourself. That was me. I came to the end of myself and I was like, man, like my life is not

How I want it to be at all. Like, I need Jesus. So I surrender my life to Jesus and I start attending this church. And while I'm at this church, we go on a fast specifically concerning to seek God concerning the purpose for our lives, the call on our lives, and what he wanted us to do. And while I'm on this fast with my church, I start reading this book, and it is Call to Create by Jordan Raynor.

I absolutely was transformed as I was reading this book. I felt so many different things. I just remember being in my room weeping and crying because for the first time in my life, I realized that this call to create that I had, this creativity that was inside of me, was not just my own, but was the epitome of being a daughter in.

Christ, that if God was creative, that I was creative, and that not only could I create, but that it pleased him to create. And as a father, in you know, as a father speaking to his daughter in that moment, I felt affirmed in my identity. I felt like he was speaking to my identity and affirming the creative call and the creative identity on the inside of me.

and began to just pull on me and tug on me and that brought about a measure of healing and deliverance and meditation and okay, now that I've come to this awakening, what do I do next? And how do I move forward in answering this call while still being in the military? And what will this look like basically?

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (10:51)
So I know that we are fellow fans of Jordan Raynor because you know, no, no, no bragging. We're bragging on Jesus, right? That we've had him on the podcast. He was one of the first few people on the podcast. So we're gonna link to his link talking about his books on this particular episode so that they will see what the, you know, the the the inspiration that came to both of our platforms from Jordan Raynor and how God used him.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (10:55)
Ha ha ha.

Wow.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (11:20)
To birth other creators who were helping other creators, right? It's so amazing how that tree works, how the seed that P planted, you know, watered two trees in both your platform and mine. So talk to me a little bit about what came out of that because now you've gone from being inspired.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (11:25)
Yeah.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (11:37)
to get back into creating, to get back into the place where God had, you know, an idea for you to where you started to have a a burden or a a mission for other creators because that's two different things. I can speak, you know, personally, it is two totally different things to start to build your own brand to say, hey, I want to write, draw, sing, dance, act, and then say, no, I want to help other people dance, draw, sing, act, build brands. So

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (11:52)
Right.

Mm-hmm.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (12:06)
That's a totally different thing. So talk to me a little about what you where was that burden or where did that burden come from, that desire to help other creators?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (12:15)
Okay, so I always like to say that before I can help others, I have to you have to become first. So before when I have that awakening, right? The creative awakening, I started going through healing and deliverance. I began to first embody the call to create myself. So I began to look for opportunities to create, ⁓ to get involved within my command outside of work because I worked in healthcare, so I wasn't really in a creative job per se.

⁓ but I found opportunities like I found an opportunity to serve as a social media manager for the hospital ⁓ and do photography and like get involved with capturing Navy events and I would do this on my free time as a volunteer and I would just serve creatively. I began to serve with my creativity, I began to serve my local church and just find ways to start creating. And then I actually ⁓ the idea to begin to help others

Came about through a dream that I had. So I actually I went to sleep one night and I didn't I don't remember what the dream was, but when I awoke from the dream, I heard ⁓ coaching with Yany LLC equipping you to be fruitful and multiply. So God began to speak to me about having a coaching business, and I knew that it was to be fruitful and multiply, but when the seed is planted.

It has to grow, right? So you grow in understanding, you grow in understanding what that seed is. And ⁓ that's a part of creating, right? So first you get the idea, but then there's a process to actually bringing it to life and then building something that outlives you. So I got the idea, but now it needed to actually go through the process of being nurtured and cultivated and understanding what that is and what that looks like. So I started to put my faith towards that.

And through that, ⁓ God began to just lead me to go further into education and getting a degree in business because I knew it was LLC. So I knew, okay, that's a first step that I had got a puzzle piece. So I just took what I had and I started to apply my faith towards it as well as look for creative opportunities to serve. And as I journeyed through that, ⁓ when it came time to leave the military, ⁓ I had this

You know, I had the opportunity to stay in, right? I had I had the opportunity to stay in or to get out. And I was in prayer and I heard God so strongly and I heard him say, Are you gonna trust in the financial security of the Navy and be delayed in your calling? Or are you gonna trust in me and do what I've called you to do? And I know it's so it's way too

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (15:03)
no, though that

like I said, that's the two by four to me. God is like, Are you in or are you out?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (15:07)
Right. So

I felt the fear of the Lord so strong. And ⁓ I was like, I know the answer, right? So like a part of us feels fear. And I just remember in that moment saying, Well, I know what the answer is. Like, God, I'm gonna trust you. I believe, but help my unbelief. I remember praying that script, like I remember praying that ⁓ I believe, but help my unbelief. And from there, God just began to lead me and guide me out of that.

out of transitioning into that, serving my local church, and then eventually actually building my business now to where I hope other creatives. So from the moment that I got the idea coaching with Yany to now, it has been about seven years or more than that. And I wanted to I want to highlight that too because a lot of times we can get an idea for a business or a brand and we think that it's going to be done overnight without realizing that

We have to become first before being able to help other people and we have to come into the understanding of what that idea really is and cultivate it and nurture it and then actually build it out.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (16:20)
See, this is what's so powerful about the way God decided to lead you. Cause even though He gave you the dream of coaching, I love the way you said you had the faith to step into it, but it's also the works because faith without works is dead, as James said. So you did not just sit on, well, God gave me the dream and God gave me something and just expect it to like, you know, like pixie dust, just appear out of nowhere without real steps. Like getting a degree is a huge step, you know, getting the actual knowledge in place so that

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (16:33)
Right.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (16:49)
When you decided to step into coaching, you would have, like you said, the actual work in place, the stuff that you had actually done, not just telling other people to do something that you hadn't done. And by the way, since you work at social media, I'm sure you can speak to this in terms of the identity being authentic. Because so many people just say, well, fake it till you make it, do this, just show up on social media and do these things in front of people, but not necessarily have the backup of having done it in real life.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (17:05)
Right.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (17:17)
So can you talk a little bit about that? Because you help with brands and you help with people forming that social media identity, but now how do you make sure that it stays authentic and does it become something where you're just showing people something that you aren't really doing, you know, in ⁓ in real life and really acting out?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (17:26)
Mm-hmm.

Alright, that's good. So I was thinking about this actually earlier today, and how there is a difference between showing up in business or on social media as an orphan, as someone who doesn't know their identity in Christ, as someone who doesn't know that they've been called to create and they're rooted and secure in Christ, versus a daughter or a son that is secure in their identity and can show up from a place.

of authenticity, integrity, character, right? So when you're when you're not when you don't know who you are, when you don't know what God is calling you to do, or you when you don't know

I wouldn't even say when you don't know. You can know what you're called to do, but you can be you can try to move ahead of where you actually are. And I think that ⁓ doing that and showing up in a way that's not necessarily authentic, not necessarily ⁓ grounded in who you are and where you are, ⁓ is not integral. but it also can be from the desire to ⁓ perform and from the desire to be seen in a certain light because you're not secure.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (18:29)
Yeah.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (18:51)
in who you are and you're not secure in where God has you on your journey. Understanding that becoming and becoming in Christ is a never-ending journey. And where you are right now, there's someone that needs you where you are right now. And there's someone that's gonna need the you that God is calling you to become. And it's never ending. We're always evolving. We're always becoming so why not just show up how you are and where you are now?

Authentically serve and find a way to serve them in what you currently have in your hands rather than where you're aspiring to be or the potential that God is calling you into. Allow yourself to evolve and grow, but you can still serve where you are now. I think that ⁓ it's a never-ending journey with Christ, right? We're always, I feel like if you are a coach, especially.

the cap to your students is the cap to your level of learning and growing. And if you are someone that wants to serve consistently and generationally, it's a key value and a key component and humility to d desire to learn and desire to grow consistently, right? And never ending that there's always more to grow in God, always more to grow, always more to grow in your skill and your in ⁓ and in social media. Social media is forever changing, right?

So I think it all goes back to a lack of identity and wanting to ⁓ be someone you're not because when you're not secure with who with who you are and where you are, you want to take on a false identity. When you're when you're not secure when you're when you're not secure in who you are, you wanna take on this false identity and present this false ⁓ reality to a people so that they can

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (20:28)
Ooh. Yeah. No, you're you're preaching right there.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (20:42)
affirm you and say, she's so great or she so this or she so that. But I think people value authenticity and people want there is a call on the inside of you. It's just a matter of figuring out how you can serve them with where you are and knowing that you're still growing towards this idea or this vision that God has given you. So even though I knew I was called to be a coach and I knew I was called to ⁓ help other creatives, at the time I had to help myself.

And I can still serve, I was able to still serve and show up on social media and serve ⁓ churches and serve other peoples with where I was while still growing into who I am today. And who I am today is gonna grow into another person and it just never ends.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (21:29)
I love this so much because you just brought back a verse that I have been stuck on for the last month as I'm recording. And it's Second Corinthians three, five, and I can't quote it, but basically it's where Paul is telling the Corinthians our sufficiency to be ministers of the new covenant doesn't come from us. It's not this internal, like, you know, badge of honor that we carry around. And it says our sufficiency comes from God to be ministers.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (21:37)
wow.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (21:57)
So he's saying, hey, we got what it takes to do this. But it's not us bragging or us trying to come up with something that's, you know, somehow puts us on a pedestal. That you just said that whatever you're doing now is what you can give. And that authenticity comes from what you have right now instead of something that you need to reach out for or pretend to have, right? The false identity you just talked about. And I think one thing we can definitely both say for all of the people we worked with and for

Is that when you try to chase these metrics, these social media metrics, these followers, all that stuff, all you're doing is playing into that mentality that is false. Because these people don't really know who you are. Until you stay authentic with the ones that are in front of you, the people that are, you know, seeing you in real life, then maybe God then starts to add to your social media and all that kind of stuff. And that's all great. But until you are

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (22:32)
Okay, right?

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (22:53)
comfortable in your own skin and knowing who you are in God, all of that stuff is just fool's gold. And so I love that you said that, that you're still developing and your sufficiency doesn't come from, you know, how many followers you have and how big your brand gets. And I want to make sure we stay on this because I've noticed your brand. I really did notice you on social media first. That's how we connected was because your authenticity came through through your social media and your branding. And one thing I noticed is your focus on helping women, the create hers. And I saw that.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (23:13)
Mm-hmm.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (23:22)
And I saw your rainbow and I was like, this is so colorful. This is so beautiful. Like how, you know, I saw how you were trying to serve. So tell me a little bit about that portion of your mission. ⁓ why, you know, why women and I'll I don't say why women, like, you know what I mean? That sounds so silly. But yeah, that's specific because everybody has a different calling. And so, you know, why did you feel called to that and how you decided to show up for these people? So the ideal person that you want to help, like.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (23:22)
Mm-hmm.

Ha ha ha

Yeah. I know.

Mm-hmm.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (23:51)
Who is that that you're looking for?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (23:53)
So I believe that who I'm called to serve today was who I was years ago. So I ⁓ like I feel like I'm able to serve them ⁓ more ⁓ because I've been there and I can empathize, which is why I chose women and why I chose creatives and why I'm s ⁓ sharing like creator in Christ and what does it mean to be a creative in Christ and what does it mean.

To live consecrated and ⁓ all of these things, but holistically, my brand or what I'm ⁓ trying to accomplish with my brand with my mission is a lot of creatives in general, whether they're men or women, have a thousand ideas. And I was that person. I had a thousand ideas. I only created when I was inspired, I only created when an idea just came to me, but

There is a difference in being a content creator and creating when an idea comes to you versus building a brand and a business and being able to create, be on yourself and create consistently. A lot of creatives with a thousand ideas, they don't know when to start, they don't know which idea goes first, and they don't know how to show up consistently. So they're constantly starting and stopping, they're constantly feeling like.

I'm gonna do this one day and then the next day they're this. another thing that I find is an another struggle is ⁓ that they haven't learned how to package their creativity in a message and a mission to show up completely and entirely themselves. So ⁓ like for example myself, like I love fashion, I love ⁓ hair, makeup, beauty, the beauty industry, the beauty space, I love social media, I love

Content creation, I'm a wife. So I have all of these different facets of me. And a lot of content creators, they want to show up and they feel led to like, you know, be in the on one day they want to be in the beauty space and one day they want to be in the fashion space and they want to show like an outfit of the day. Another day they want to share scripture. Another day they want to do this, and they haven't learned how to package their entire full identity to where they're not just it's not just one of them. They struggle with like, well.

I feel boxed where they're not boxed into one niche and they're actually able to authentically show up as their entire selves and build a brand around their mission and their message instead of their niche or a part of their identity instead of their entire identity. So that is another thing that I really want to help creatives with because I know what it's like. I know what it's like to have a thousand ideas and not be able to consistently show up. I know what it's like.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (26:20)
Yeah.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (26:47)
To feel the call to create, but not know how to actually build it out, to actually build a business, to actually show up on social media consistently. I know what it's like to show start showing up and then feeling like, man, I feel like I'm just stuck talking about social media. But God has called me to also like, there's another part of me that I'm a military spouse. I'm navigating transition. I'm, you know, I'm there's another part of me that serves at church. And how can I communicate that and show up?

as fully in my entire self and not feel like man I feel s restricted and boxed in instead of creatively expressing all of who I am in Christ, which is where the rainbow comes in as well.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (27:32)
no, I'm glad you pivoted. You mentioned that because that

was one thing that again, ⁓ I'm gonna make sure this is posted again. You're bringing so many things that we're totally aligned with. I have a blog post, I believe, called the Integrated Creative. And that's specifically what you're describing right now is not taking pieces of yourself and having to kind of like split them up. But we know God is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, right? Jesus is lion and lamb.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (27:44)
wow.

really?

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (27:57)
You know, alpha and there's always these and for everything that God is. He never says, Well, I can't be this because I'm that. He's always all these things. And so him being him, who he is, and then forming us in his image, we are all the things, all combined into one. And so that's why it's so beautiful that you're describing this. That again, social media can be the enemy where we think we have to follow these rules versus being everything that you are in Christ, but doing it, what you sound like you're saying in a very

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (28:00)
Mm-hmm.

Right.

Right.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (28:27)
⁓ strategic and smart and wise way versus just being scattered. I love your idea of a thousand ideas. But I'd love for you to talk a little bit more about you mentioned why the rainbow, because we all know that's a very, you know, unfortunately it's 2026 now. I don't know why we still have to have this conversation about what the rainbow really means. But I think it is important because again, that was one of the things that that I noticed. It drew me because I wanted to say thank you. That's the symbol that I remember from Noah.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (28:43)
Hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (28:56)
And Genesis chapter six and seven. That's what I would want to remember. And so talk talk to me a little bit about like why that symbol meant so much to you in terms of what you mentioned that has something to do with Christ.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (29:07)
Right, so ⁓ a part of so the fact the rainbow itself is multidimensional, multi-meaning, right? So within my brand it has multiple meanings as well. So a part of my personal test testimony of coming out of the world and into the kingdom of God was actually leaving the LGBTQ plus community and bisexuality and just you know, all of that stuff, struggle with my sexuality and my lack of identity.

And coming into my original intent and my creative identity in Christ. So part of my testimony was actually leaving that community and coming into becoming a Christian creative and a creative in Christ. ⁓ securing my identity and you know, God began that process of, you know, redefining his original intent and all of these things. So

That is a part of restoring the rainbow is a part of my mission and my overall branding and why I have the rainbow in my brand. ⁓ but outside of that, it also aligns with who I'm targeting. So, as creatives, right, we have in creativity or in or in the art space, in the arts in general, we have the color wheel. And the color wheel is the rainbow. So that is one of the reasons another reason why I used it.

And then bib biblically speaking, outside of, you know, the Noah ⁓ encounter where it symbolizes or the Noah seeing the rainbow in the book of or in the story of Noah. Outside of seeing the rainbow in the story of Noah where it symbolizes the promises of God and peace after judgment and all of these things, you also see it in Revelation at the throne room of God.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (30:38)
Yes.

True.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (30:51)
So it speaks to holiness, it speaks to purity, it speaks to consecration. So I wanted to highlight the holiness and consecration to where ⁓ something is a rainbow being at the throne of God speaks to such a holiness to where it can literally be it's where it is in heaven, being that at the throne of God speaks to holiness and it speaks to purity to be in that place. So

I wanna again restoring the rainbow in that context, how something that has been turned into something outside of its original intent. So restoring the rainbow is a huge part. ⁓ and then another reason why I wanted to use the rainbow is because it's also symbolic of the multidimensional ⁓ identity of Christ, right? So you mentioned how you mentioned how God is a father, how he is, you know, a lamb and he's you know we he's a lion and a lamb.

So in scripture, I think it's an Isaiah, it talks about the Holy Spirit and how there's seven spirits of God. So it speaks to how there's the spirit of the Lord, there's a spirit of wisdom, a spirit of understanding, spirit of knowledge and counsel, and there's seven spirits. And all of that together is the Holy Spirit. A rainbow is the Holy Spirit and Jesus expressed in the earth, right? And we housing the Holy Spirit, housing the seven spirits of God, can creatively express the Holy Spirit.

through what we do with him. So that's another reason why I have the rainbow. It's multi-meaning, multi-dimensional, and multi-faceted. It's just, it as creatives, we are those things as well. You know, creatives in Christ, consecrated, set apart for God.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (32:27)
I am s ⁓

It is incredible that again, I wanna c I'll paint myself into the corner as the old guy in the room. ⁓ never having really put that together, that both Genesis and Revelation both show the rainbow as that representation of what God is and does and his covenant. That is incredible. And again, the way that you have just so beautifully expressed it in terms of what it means for us as creators who are again small c creator, right?

That we emulate that image of God is just incredible. And again, it shows why it's so important that we speak up, that we do show up. And I wanted to come back to this because this this this is one of those things I just want to hear from somebody else to make sure I'm not crazy. especially someone else who's in the same space. When people are you mentioned the seven years that you're over seven years now that you've been doing this. I want to talk to that creator that is struggling at that first year, first six months, first podcast.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (33:17)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (33:29)
First live, first YouTube video, and there's crickets. And there is right, like we have been there. We're still there. I had one post today on the YouTube short that got one view. How is that possible? Like, you know what I mean? So you just have these moments that you're like, okay, God called me. Yes, I'm doing the coaching, or yes, I'm following, and yes, I've taken the leap of faith to start this. But then there's feels like this desert of silence, whether it be from social media or from people believing in you. So talk to a little bit.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (33:34)
Well.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (33:59)
to the person who is just starting, what are the things that you would say to them to keep them going when it feels like those first few efforts or maybe even a lot of efforts are not coming to any kind of success?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (34:12)
that's good. I've experienced that as well over the years, and there have been a couple of things that stand out to me or that are coming to my mind now. One of the things that I always say is starting is better than never, and perf or progress is better than perfect. That's one of the things that I would encourage them with. Another thing is ⁓ I'm thinking about my pastor. ⁓ one of the things that he shared was when he first started preaching.

⁓ he would preach the empty seats. And it was in that season that God showed him ⁓ and God was training within him the ⁓ desire and the motives and he was testing his desire and motives and hearts for even doing answering the call. So sometimes there are I was speaking about this earlier this week too, earlier today, about the wilderness season. And there are times where God takes us

through a wilderness season where it seems quiet. It seems like no one's noticing us and no one's ⁓ showing up. But it's in that season that God is, I was reading out of Deuteronomy 8. It talks about how God, it was God that led them through the wilderness. And ⁓ as God was leading them, he was birthing humility and he was testing their hearts and their motives. So as you know he was sharing this with me. He was saying that ⁓ God would ask him like will you show up?

for empty seats or for one person as you would when you're in the full measure of your calling. Would you still show up? Would you still ⁓ go live? Would you still talk to them as if you're already there? Talk to them as if you're you're already at the hundred seats, the five hundred seats, you know, the thousand seats, however it is, you know, however big God's call the influence God's call you to steward. ⁓ but even more than that, I was thinking about the test where

God had told showed Moses the promised land and he tells him, ⁓ I can let let you go with the angel of the Lord, but I won't go with you. And he decided, No, if I can't go with you, like I don't want to go. And I think that it's during those times and those seasons where God is testing our heart to see if we would want the followers, if we would want the ⁓

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (36:13)
True.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (36:36)
platform and the views and the clients and all of these things more than our obedience to Christ, more than our submission to Christ, more than and it tests our motives. Like why are we showing up? Are we showing up because of them? Or are we showing up because God called us to? ⁓ and I think that I would encourage them with that. Another thing and the last thing that I'll share is ⁓ one of the things that God has encouraged me with is

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (36:53)
Good.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (37:05)
That if you show up and one person is impacted, then outside of obedience to Christ, right? If you show up and one person was impacted, that was one person that your obedience to your yes has impacted in the world, and you never know what your reward is in heaven. So maybe we're looking at natural ⁓ metrics and natural vanities instead of putting our treasures in heaven, where

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (37:29)
⁓ true.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (37:33)
That soul could have come across your content and been saved, which is the richest thing that could ever happen in the kingdom of God, is a soul being saved and impacted through your content or through your service or what God is calling you to do. And that means more and that will have a richer reward than the natural satisfaction of having thousands of views and thousands of dollars.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (37:58)
So well said. Storing up your treasures in heaven, right? And it is one of the most important things for us to remember because Jesus said it so many times. He wouldn't have repeated himself and constantly talked about the kingdom of heaven is like, the kingdom of heaven is like, if he didn't want us to remind ourselves constantly that that's where our focus needs to be. And showing up for that one person, you like you said, could be the difference. You never know where that person will impact.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (38:10)
Hmm.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (38:25)
generations of people, something because you showed up. ⁓ I don't know. I'm I'm sure it's like I'm making this up or not exactly getting it right, but I think I've heard stories about the Sunday school teacher that taught Billy Graham, or you know what I mean? Like the one person that you'll never know their name, but they helped shape a war a world changer or help shape the creator, or help somebody inspire them to keep going. And there's so many examples in the Bible of that. So you are one of those people. Now we're talking to other people who

now will say, hey, I will show up on that live. I will go past my fears and start that business. I will go back and make that LLC. I'll get my ninth degree in creative or business or whatever it is that will help me actually do that stuff. So this has been such an incredible and the only reason I'm cutting this off is because I know we'll talk for two hours if I don't start to bring it into a close. ⁓ but I do want you to speak and you just said it so eloquently in terms of that person that's starting, but I do want to turn this back to you.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (39:13)
Yeah. ⁓

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (39:23)
And what you would say to yourself back at that pivot point when you were thinking about am I going to stay in the military or am I going to trust God? Because someone else is where you were, right? Someone else is in that same place. Maybe they're not in the military. Maybe they're in a nine to five job. Maybe they're not sure they can keep going with, you know, keeping the bills going if they try to go full time creative. And by the way, I want to say quickly, doesn't mean that God always requires all of us to leave our jobs, right?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (39:37)
Mm-hmm.

Right.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (39:53)
But it is that trusting that you just talked about. So what would you say to someone who is exactly the same position that you are in now that you know what you know?

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (39:55)
Mm-hmm.

Okay, so first thing I would say is ⁓ you may not know what's on the other side of this decision, but you can trust the one who's sending you. And one of the things that God used to encourage me, he actually gave me a parable or he gave me a reference, a reference point for me.

which I think could probably help, even if you weren't in the military. It's a military reference, but I think it'll still help ⁓ if I explain it in a way that you can understand. And it's ⁓ that in the military, when they send you somewhere, when they send you to a new duty station or they send you to a new location, it's completely funded by the government. So you get your flights, you get your pay.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (40:37)
Sure.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (40:56)
You get your transportation, you get settled into your new career, you get settled into a new job, which is why I think that God asked me if I was gonna trust in the financial security of the Navy and be delayed or actually trust in him and why he gave me this example. Because similarly to when the military is sending you somewhere, there is provision. When God is sending you somewhere, you have the provision of his kingdom and his government.

So just like the naval gu, like the military and the government would send me somewhere on orders and provide for me and make sure that I'm settled in a new location in my new job and have pay coming in, that God would do the same thing for you as He's sending you into what He's calling you to do. So that is something that kind of like really helped me make that decision and knowing like, okay, I may not know everything, but I have a reference point, right? So if

If the military could do this for me, why can't God do this for me? And that's what God was really challenging in me and what ⁓ why he asked me that question. Like, if I can trust in a natural system to provide for me, why can't I trust in a system that has endless resources and provision to provide for me? And God can and he will. If the earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof.

Surely as his daughter or his son, your inheritance and your provision will be provided for. ⁓ I also think wisdom on the wisdom side of things, I don't always recommend just like upping and quitting, you know. I think there is a measure of natural exit planning that comes into play where you not just stepping out on faith without works.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (42:32)
Right.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (42:49)
Right? Stepping on on faith and now you're homeless. Now your bills aren't paid. Now you're, you know, struggling. We don't want to be a struggling creative, a survival survival mode creative, right? We want to live in overflow and abundance. So creating an exit plan to where you can potentially maybe instead of just quitting your job, maybe you can go part time in your job and start building your business more. So you still have some income coming in.

while you're building and then eventually getting your b business to a place to where you can replace your income or double your income and actually leave your job. I don't think that you should just up and leave and just think that like you said the fairy does, it'll just come out of nowhere. Not saying that God can't do that and he can't provide supernaturally ⁓ and he can't use people to help you, but I think that there's a level of wisdom

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (43:31)
Yeah.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (43:41)
on the faith side of things that sometimes we can miss out on because we're just like, yeah, I'm just gonna follow God. And then now we're trying to ask God to pay our bills.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (43:50)
Yes, exactly. That's I think that's

the thing where, you know, well, James says it very clearly. He's like, you know, if the Lord wills, we will do this and we will do that. And it's always that kind of, hey, yes, you make plans, but you make plans with the Lord versus looking at it as where I'm just going to follow wherever my heart leads and then put pray that God blesses it when I show up. That's not the way God does it. He always has a plan. God is a strategic God.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (44:13)
Right.

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (44:18)
He planned to end from the beginning. So why can't we think, yeah, God has steps that he will help me follow so that I can follow what his dream is for me and then see it all come to pass? But Yany, I can see why people should be following you. We already have your link in this particular description right now. I believe it is creating with Yany Or is it coaching with Yany? Coaching with Yany. See, I always I love to create words, so I keep putting creating in it. So coaching with Yany, it is in the show notes right now to make sure that you can follow her on all of her socials.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (44:38)
Coaching with coaching with Yami. ⁓

Allen C. Paul | Founder, God and Gigs (44:48)
To make sure that you see her information. Again, she mentioned the book. I believe you had recently a challenge with some reading. I wanted to join up because I am, as you can see, not only my only book, my own books, but I've got a ton of books from Jordan Raynor and all these other amazing creators and entrepreneurs that we're learning from all the time. So I would definitely check out the resources that she has for you as well. But this has been an absolute blessing to all of our communities.

I can't say that this is going to be the only one. I'm sure there's going to be an encore or a workshop. So, but for now, thank you so much for joining the God and Gigs. So this has been an absolute blessing.

Yaneliss Isaacs, BBA (45:18)
Yeah.

Thank you so much for having me.
