Do you have a God-given message or creative project - but can't find people to help you share it? In this episode, we're diving into the world of faith-driven collaborations with our special guest, Misty Phillip - a podcaster, author, and entrepreneur who has mastered the art of Kingdom connections.

In fact, building Kingdom partnerships might just be the key to unlocking your full potential and expanding your influence.

The Power of Kingdom Partnerships

First things first, let's talk about why Kingdom partnerships are so crucial. As Misty pointed out, we're all called to share the Gospel. It's not just a job for pastors - it's a mission for every one of us. When we join forces with like-minded creatives, we're not just building business relationships; we're creating connections that serve a higher purpose.

Think about it - when your partnerships are rooted in faith, you're not just focused on profit or personal gain. You're working together to glorify God and make a lasting impact. It's about being open-handed with your relationships and resources, always looking for ways to lift others up along the way.

Overcoming Obstacles and Seizing Opportunities

Now, you might be thinking - "That sounds great, but how do I actually make it happen?" Well, Misty shared a powerful story from her own journey that really resonated with our attendees.

She talked about how she planned the first Spark Media podcasters conference right before the pandemic hit. But instead of giving up, she pivoted. She connected with the National Religious Broadcasters association and ended up filling a void for them while introducing her community to a whole new audience.

The lesson here? Sometimes, our biggest challenges can lead to our greatest opportunities. It's all about being willing to adapt and looking for ways to solve problems in your industry.

Taking the First Step

It's ok to admit that putting yourself out there can be scary. Maybe you're feeling isolated or unsure of how to make those initial connections. Misty had some great advice on this:

  • Get out of your comfort zone: You can't make friends if you're not willing to be a friend. Attend events, join online communities, and actively seek out connections.
  • Pray for guidance: Remember, God is our ultimate collaboration partner. Ask Him to bring the right people into your life.
  • Look for communities: Whether it's a local group or an online platform like our God and Gigs community, find places where you can connect with like-minded creatives.
  • Focus on in-person connections: While online relationships are valuable, there's something special about face-to-face interactions. Look for opportunities to meet people in your local area.

The Secret Sauce of Successful Partnerships

So, what's the most powerful factor in building these Kingdom partnerships? According to Misty, it all comes down to open-handedness. Picture yourself with your hands open, ready to receive blessings from God and pass them on to others.

When we live with this mindset, amazing things happen. We become trustworthy stewards of the opportunities God gives us, and He often responds by bringing even more blessings our way. It's about treating others the way we want to be treated and always looking for ways to lift up those around us.

Your Next Steps

Now that you've got these insights, what are you going to do with them? Here are a few suggestions to get you started:

  • Pray for God to bring Kingdom partnerships into your life.
  • Identify one community or event you can join to expand your network.
  • Look for ways to add value and serve others in your creative field.
  • Practice open-handedness by sharing an opportunity with a fellow creative.

Remember, you don't have to go it alone. By building strong, faith-centered partnerships, you can amplify your message, expand your influence, and make a bigger impact for the Kingdom. So go ahead, take that first step. Who knows? Your next collaboration could be the one that changes everything.
