Director / Animator
John is an award-winning animation director and illustrator based in London, known for his creative vision and artistic versatility. As the director of Quirky Motion, a Film and Animation production company, bringing a unique and imaginative approach to every project.
Over the years, John has worked on a wide variety of projects, including music promos, explainer videos, title sequences, visual effects, idents, and commercials across various sectors. His animations and illustrations are designed to spark thought, evoke laughter, and inspire imagination.
In addition to his directing work, John has produced and directed several short films, showcasing his ability to tell compelling stories through visual media. His extensive skill set includes working as a 2D animator, compositor, matte painter, and Toon Boom Harmony rigger, as well as creating Motion Graphics and illustrations. His work has been featured by broadcasters, publishers, think tanks, record labels, govenment and charities.
John is passionate about developing visual ideas and metaphors, finding beautiful ways to tell stories, and infusing his projects with a sense of fun and creativity. His impressive client list includes prestigious names such as the BBC, Sony TV, Channel 4, Sky News, Peer Music, Authentic Media, Caffè Nero, eBay, Unilever, the Olympics, HarperCollins, Zondervan, The RSA, the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, The Young Vic, and the English Touring Opera.
