00:00:00.059 --> 00:00:09.432
I've used this process of goal setting and time management to build multiple companies, to have a company go to the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the US for three years in a row.
00:00:09.432 --> 00:00:13.731
I'm good at this stuff, but still I realized that I lied.
00:00:13.731 --> 00:00:17.667
I was not in any way committed to the goal.
00:00:19.551 --> 00:00:32.024
Hi docs, Welcome to the EntreMD podcast, where it's all about helping amazing physicians just like you embrace entrepreneurship so you can have the freedom to live life and practice medicine on your terms.
00:00:32.405 --> 00:00:41.667
I'm your host, Dr Imna 92% of people who set out to accomplish goals don't hit them.
00:00:41.667 --> 00:00:55.267
92% and you know, this is a statistic that I found a few weeks ago and it has really kept me in this state of really thinking about it, because it is really a horrible number, right, like let's, let's break it down here.
00:00:55.267 --> 00:00:59.426
What that means is less than one in 10% will hit their goals.
00:00:59.426 --> 00:01:09.390
If you bring that to entrepreneurs or physician entrepreneurs, I want you to think about the magnitude of that right One out of 10 alone accomplishing if that right.
00:01:09.390 --> 00:01:29.135
And so what that means is, year to year, people are busy, people are talking about being burned out, people are tired, people are overwhelmed, people have teams they hired and all of these things, and so they appear like they're very productive, but they're not hitting what they set out to accomplish, right.
00:01:29.135 --> 00:01:37.605
And so think of the impact of that, week to week, month to month, year to year, not being able to accomplish this.
00:01:37.605 --> 00:01:39.805
And when I think about that, you know like.
00:01:39.805 --> 00:01:52.766
So some people are not accomplishing anything, some people are accomplishing something, some people are accomplishing something, some people are accomplishing significant things, but not what they set out to, and you know, if you've listened to me for any amount of time, watched me for any amount of time.
00:01:52.766 --> 00:01:59.631
You know that I'm not a big fan of worrying and being anxious and being hopeless or any of those things.
00:01:59.631 --> 00:02:01.221
I'm not a fan of any of those things.
00:02:01.221 --> 00:02:12.573
However, it does make me say, okay, we do need to pay attention to goals, to goal setting, to how we use our time, to looking at where we're going and all of those things.
00:02:12.573 --> 00:02:18.492
It did put me in that state, and so last week, I had an experience that I want to share with you.
00:02:18.492 --> 00:02:20.483
I'm going to use myself as a guinea pig here.
00:02:20.483 --> 00:02:43.820
I'm going to share with you so you can see exactly how this happens and three reasons why this happens day to day, week to week, month to month, year to year, and my hope is that by the time we're done with this, you'll be able to identify these three things in your own business, in your own life, and then just decide, just go all out and decide I'm not going to do this anymore.
00:02:43.820 --> 00:02:46.206
This is not going be my story anymore.
00:02:46.206 --> 00:02:47.872
Okay, this is what happened.
00:02:48.219 --> 00:03:00.560
You know like, yes, last week I talked to you guys about the 20% Coach Journal, which is a custom journal that I use, which is a powerful tool for managing your time.
00:03:00.560 --> 00:03:04.022
The same way, a savvy investor will manage money right, so think of it more.
00:03:04.022 --> 00:03:04.667
Invest money right, and so the way you would invest your time.
00:03:04.667 --> 00:03:05.270
The same way a savvy investor will manage money right, so think of it more.
00:03:05.270 --> 00:03:07.475
Invest money right, and so the way you would invest your time.
00:03:07.475 --> 00:03:09.798
And so now I identify as a time investor.
00:03:09.798 --> 00:03:10.981
Okay, all right.
00:03:11.102 --> 00:03:28.376
So I use this, my 20% coach journal, and I set these intentions for the week, and so I had my three main goals and all of these things, and I accomplished two of those three, but there's one I didn't accomplish at all, and when I say at all, like at all.
00:03:28.376 --> 00:03:35.633
And so I started looking, which is something that the journal lets us do.
00:03:35.633 --> 00:03:37.264
I started looking at why.
00:03:37.264 --> 00:03:38.207
Why is it?
00:03:38.207 --> 00:03:39.585
And I want to challenge you.
00:03:39.780 --> 00:03:46.027
You know, one of the most uncomfortable things to do is to evaluate yourself Like what did I do?
00:03:46.027 --> 00:03:47.382
What did I set out to do?
00:03:47.382 --> 00:03:48.585
Why didn't I do it?
00:03:48.585 --> 00:03:51.051
I meant to show up this way, why didn't I show up that way?
00:03:51.051 --> 00:03:55.110
It's very uncomfortable because a lot of times, people lean into judgment right Like.
00:03:55.110 --> 00:03:57.582
So if I didn't do it, it means there's something wrong with me.
00:03:57.582 --> 00:04:03.772
If I look, I'll find out what is really wrong with me and all of that, and I want to invite you to look at it as an opportunity.
00:04:03.872 --> 00:04:23.588
Some people don't realize till too late what they could have done differently or why they did what they did, but for us, we have the gift of time right, and so we have this opportunity to look at our lives the way we would when we're 90 today, and then, while we still have strength and energy and time and all of these things, we can start making the corrections, and so it's a gift.
00:04:23.588 --> 00:04:27.651
And so the way I say this in the Entremet World is we observe, we don't judge.
00:04:27.651 --> 00:04:30.541
It's about just sitting to observe what exactly is happening here.
00:04:30.541 --> 00:04:32.165
Why is this happening?
00:04:32.165 --> 00:04:39.442
So I started this whole process of evaluating this, and that's something that the 20% Coach Journal sets you up to do every week, which is why I love it so much.
00:04:39.442 --> 00:04:42.043
Okay, so the first thing as I look at.
00:04:42.043 --> 00:04:43.805
Okay, so you didn't hit this, why not?
00:04:44.324 --> 00:04:51.007
And in sitting, in the discomfort of it, I found out that I lied to myself.
00:04:51.007 --> 00:04:56.670
Okay, so the thing, the number one thing we do, number one reason why we're not hitting our goals is we lie to ourselves.
00:04:56.670 --> 00:04:58.112
I had lied to myself.
00:04:58.112 --> 00:05:05.156
I had lied about wanting to hit the goal and I had lied about doing the actions that will help me get there.
00:05:05.156 --> 00:05:13.127
So when I set out during the week, I set out this goal, like, okay, this is a goal that I'm going to accomplish, great, if I accomplish, how excited would I be?
00:05:13.127 --> 00:05:15.062
Absolutely Like so, so, so excited.
00:05:15.062 --> 00:05:17.528
And then what are the action steps I need to get there?
00:05:17.528 --> 00:05:20.543
And I put the top three action steps Okay.
00:05:20.543 --> 00:05:24.132
So I put the top three action steps in my 20% coach journal.
00:05:24.132 --> 00:05:28.927
Okay, so I put the top three action steps in my 20% coach journal.
00:05:28.947 --> 00:05:30.896
Then I said, if I accomplish this goal on a scale of one to 10, how excited would I be?
00:05:30.896 --> 00:05:31.579
I'm like 10 out of 10.
00:05:31.579 --> 00:05:36.831
And that question is important because it also helps you see if you even wrote the goals you care about.
00:05:36.831 --> 00:05:37.882
Why is this important?
00:05:37.882 --> 00:05:39.947
Because our default setting is to lie to ourselves.
00:05:39.947 --> 00:05:41.680
Okay, is to lie to ourselves.
00:05:41.680 --> 00:05:44.007
So I checked that I was like 10 out of 10.
00:05:44.007 --> 00:05:44.730
I'll be so excited.
00:05:44.730 --> 00:05:49.211
Okay, great, these actions that I've decided I'm going to take.
00:05:49.211 --> 00:05:57.930
If I did them, if I executed on them the way I said I would, what are the chances right, that it would help me accomplish the goal and, truthfully, it was 100.
00:05:57.930 --> 00:06:12.434
I mean, like it was 10 out of 10 as well, like it's 100% chance.
00:06:12.434 --> 00:06:12.952
So there's nothing wrong with a goal.
00:06:12.952 --> 00:06:13.793
There's nothing wrong with the plan, okay.
00:06:13.696 --> 00:06:15.742
But when I stopped to audit, I found out I was not committed to it and I was not committed to the goal at all.
00:06:15.742 --> 00:06:18.581
Now, to put this in perspective I've been a student of goal setting and time management for the last 15 years.
00:06:18.581 --> 00:06:34.810
I've used this process of you know, goal setting and time management, or time investing, if you will, to build multiple companies, to have a company go to the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the US for three years in a row, and all of these things, and so I'm good at this stuff.
00:06:34.810 --> 00:06:40.048
But still, because this is sneaky stuff, I realized that I lied.
00:06:40.048 --> 00:06:44.160
I was not in any way committed to the goal.
00:06:44.160 --> 00:06:53.408
I was like it would have been nice to have, but I was not committed to seeing it happen, to becoming my reality, and I was like that is interesting.
00:06:53.408 --> 00:07:03.093
And one of the things that pointed out to me that I wasn't committed to it at all was the fact that if it had happened, I would have been like, oh my goodness, this was a miracle, because I wasn't in it at all.
00:07:03.093 --> 00:07:08.689
If it had happened I would have been like, oh my goodness, this was a miracle, because I wasn't in it at all.
00:07:08.689 --> 00:07:10.524
I was like, oh my goodness.
00:07:10.524 --> 00:07:11.588
So then I said okay.
00:07:11.879 --> 00:07:13.026
Then I looked at the actions.
00:07:13.026 --> 00:07:14.505
Did I actually take them?
00:07:14.505 --> 00:07:20.985
For two of the three actions, I kind of sort of did, but not in a way that would create the results at all.
00:07:20.985 --> 00:07:32.521
The volume required to create the result was not behind it at all, and so I lied about wanting to accomplish a goal and I lied about doing the action to myself because I was not committed.
00:07:32.521 --> 00:07:34.024
I was not committed to getting it done.
00:07:34.567 --> 00:07:39.624
Okay, so the very first thing is that we lie to ourselves.
00:07:39.624 --> 00:07:47.704
I can't tell you how many times I've had an entrepreneur say, oh, I want to take my business to seven figures and all that stuff, but I know it's a wish.
00:07:47.704 --> 00:07:48.709
They don't really want it.
00:07:48.709 --> 00:07:52.086
They're not committed to the evolution, they're not committed to the action.
00:07:52.086 --> 00:07:53.687
They don't want it.
00:07:53.687 --> 00:07:55.745
And I'm not saying they tried and they didn't succeed.
00:07:55.745 --> 00:07:56.668
They don't want it.
00:07:56.668 --> 00:07:57.571
It was a lie.
00:07:57.571 --> 00:07:58.940
They were lying to themselves.
00:07:58.940 --> 00:08:04.749
So I lied to myself Okay, okay and right in this moment, I want you to think about the goals that are top of mind for you.
00:08:04.809 --> 00:08:10.096
Maybe you have your 20% coach journal and the goals that you set for last week or this week or whatever.
00:08:10.096 --> 00:08:11.723
Like do you actually?
00:08:11.723 --> 00:08:14.050
Are you really committed to getting them done?
00:08:14.050 --> 00:08:17.430
Are you willing to do what it takes Like, are you Okay?
00:08:17.430 --> 00:08:27.894
So I found that I was not at all Like if it happened or it didn't happen, really deep, deep, deep down I didn't care, like I would like for it to happen, but I was not willing to do what it took to make it happen.
00:08:27.894 --> 00:08:29.315
Okay, so I did that.
00:08:29.920 --> 00:08:36.543
And the thing about lying to ourselves is that it's so expensive because, at the end of the day, you want what you want.
00:08:36.543 --> 00:08:39.349
At the end of the day, your time is ticking away.
00:08:39.349 --> 00:08:50.100
At the end of the day, you wasted a week quote unquote right, like, I still accomplished many things, I still made progress, right, so it's not like nothing happened, but this particular thing did not.
00:08:50.100 --> 00:08:57.173
And so lying in this case lying is expensive because it cost me a week's worth of progress.
00:08:57.173 --> 00:09:01.291
I want you to think about that, the progress I could have made in that part of my business.
00:09:01.291 --> 00:09:08.927
Lying to myself cost me a week's worth, but now I'm saying it's a week's worth because I stopped at the end of the week to evaluate.
00:09:08.927 --> 00:09:13.152
It could have been a month's worth, it could have been a year's worth, it could have been a decade's worth.
00:09:13.514 --> 00:09:18.975
And for many physicians this is the case right, where we've said things we don't mean them.
00:09:18.975 --> 00:09:20.780
We've talked about building business.
00:09:20.780 --> 00:09:21.461
We don't mean that.
00:09:21.461 --> 00:09:23.206
We talk about crossing seven figure mark.
00:09:23.206 --> 00:09:25.572
We don't mean that we talk about hiring an office manager.
00:09:25.572 --> 00:09:26.232
We don't mean that.
00:09:26.232 --> 00:09:27.666
We don't mean any of that.
00:09:28.139 --> 00:09:35.510
And when we lie to ourselves, subconsciously we know we're lying, but outward we're like we're working, we're getting this thing done, but we're not.
00:09:35.510 --> 00:09:36.796
We're not.
00:09:36.796 --> 00:09:45.990
And if you can find where you're lying to yourself and say what you really want and do the next few things I'm going to show you, everything can change for us.
00:09:45.990 --> 00:09:49.375
Well, we have to start with not lying.
00:09:49.375 --> 00:09:54.437
Lying is expensive, so it's worth doing the work to figure out what are the lies.
00:09:54.437 --> 00:10:05.538
I'm telling myself All right, and this is one of those episodes like, as you find these things and you start making shifts, send me a DM, send me a PM, say, oh, my goodness, dr Una, that podcast episode you did.
00:10:05.538 --> 00:10:07.259
That was like literal fire.
00:10:07.259 --> 00:10:19.881
It changed my life because I found out that the things I claim I'm, you know, I'm working on like I wouldn't have been as helpful.
00:10:20.481 --> 00:10:25.562
So the next thing I did which points us to the next mistake the next mistake is we don't ask why.
00:10:25.562 --> 00:10:27.503
So the first thing is we lie to ourselves.
00:10:27.503 --> 00:10:30.524
And then the second thing is we don't ask ourselves why.
00:10:30.524 --> 00:10:32.083
Why did we do that?
00:10:32.083 --> 00:10:33.063
Why are we doing that?
00:10:33.063 --> 00:10:35.605
Or why didn't we do what we said we were going to do?
00:10:35.605 --> 00:10:38.645
Why aren't we as committed as we thought we were Right?
00:10:38.645 --> 00:10:41.385
And so I started asking myself why.
00:10:41.385 --> 00:10:57.229
The easier thing is to let myself off the hook oh, there's always next week, right, that's the easier thing, but the more strategic thing and the more profitable thing and the better thing is to not let ourselves off the hook and not even make it a hook, just observe, like so why didn't I?
00:10:57.229 --> 00:10:58.909
Why was I not committed?
00:10:58.909 --> 00:11:01.929
Why didn't I do these activities?
00:11:02.331 --> 00:11:06.030
And so, for me, I made a very interesting discovery.
00:11:06.030 --> 00:11:14.913
Okay, as I started to ask myself why, I realized that I did not identify as the kind of person who got those kind of results.
00:11:14.913 --> 00:11:30.587
I mean, I could get those results at a hundredth or a thousandth of the speed, but or I couldn't get them at all, you know, like so I didn't identify as the person who got those kinds of results and I didn't identify as a person who did the actions that were required to pull them off.
00:11:30.587 --> 00:11:35.565
I was like that's not, I don't do stuff like that, I don't have stuff like that, I don't have results like that.
00:11:35.565 --> 00:11:44.549
And again, if you've listened to me for any amount of time, you hear me talk constantly about our evolution, becoming the kind of person who can pull off what we want to pull off and all of those things.
00:11:44.850 --> 00:11:46.591
So it was a very shocking discovery for me.
00:11:46.591 --> 00:11:49.716
I was like, hey, I work on this stuff, I do this stuff.
00:11:49.716 --> 00:11:50.577
What is going on?
00:11:50.577 --> 00:12:15.778
And this is your reminder that, when it comes to the fundamentals required for you to have a successful business and a successful life, you do not outgrow the fundamentals, you do not outgrow time mastery, you do not outgrow goal setting, you do not outgrow your personal evolution, you don't outgrow continue to develop that growth mindset.
00:12:15.778 --> 00:12:18.625
Like you don't outgrow any of these things, Okay.
00:12:18.947 --> 00:12:21.735
So I sat and I was like Like you don't outgrow any of these things, okay.
00:12:21.735 --> 00:12:24.918
So I sat and I was like, oh, my goodness, I caught it.
00:12:24.918 --> 00:12:25.519
I found the root cause.
00:12:25.519 --> 00:12:28.086
And the root causes you don't identify as that kind of person.
00:12:28.086 --> 00:12:34.462
You think it's for other people who are better than you or further along than you in business, or more connected than you, and things like that.
00:12:34.462 --> 00:12:36.903
You don't think you can pull that off, right.
00:12:36.903 --> 00:12:51.725
And so, because I didn't think I could pull them off, but I knew these are the results that I wanted to have, I own the results, I own the plan, I developed the strategy, I did some work, but I didn't realize that I didn't think I was the kind of person.
00:12:51.725 --> 00:12:54.037
I thought it would be somewhat Herculean.
00:12:54.037 --> 00:12:59.284
I thought, yes, I will have to evolve, but I didn't realize how deep and how serious that was.
00:12:59.585 --> 00:13:14.083
And so this again is the power of taking the time to stop and reflect and ask yourself questions, which is one of the reasons I think this is one of the most powerful tools you know that we have, which is a 20% coach journal.
00:13:14.083 --> 00:13:19.466
Right, because imagine doing this every week and getting better at doing this every week.
00:13:19.466 --> 00:13:26.274
You will get rid of so many obstacles, so many limiting beliefs, so many lies like all of these things get exposed.
00:13:26.274 --> 00:13:27.860
They don't get exposed any other way.
00:13:27.860 --> 00:13:29.164
So I asked the question.
00:13:29.164 --> 00:13:33.965
I got a wonderful answer which is like you don't think you're that person right Now.
00:13:33.965 --> 00:13:40.605
That's something I can fix right and that's something that I can start stopping from stopping me, because now I know what it is.
00:13:40.605 --> 00:13:46.958
It's a finding out a year later.
00:13:46.958 --> 00:13:47.461
I found out a week later.
00:13:47.461 --> 00:13:48.184
Okay, now I could have stopped there.
00:13:48.184 --> 00:13:48.970
But stopping there is not enough, right?
00:13:48.970 --> 00:13:51.619
It's kind of like you made the diagnosis, you still need a cure, right.
00:13:52.100 --> 00:14:01.683
And so the third thing that stops people, keeps, you know, 90% of physician entrepreneurs in the same same spot is they don't develop a solution.
00:14:01.683 --> 00:14:07.510
So most will not look to see the lies OK, they just keep lying.
00:14:07.510 --> 00:14:12.815
And then, of those who look at the lie, most will not dig to say OK, but why?
00:14:12.815 --> 00:14:14.296
Why do you believe that lie?
00:14:14.296 --> 00:14:17.116
Why are you all in on that lie, right, ok.
00:14:17.116 --> 00:14:23.961
And then, third, those who find out the why are not going to come up with a solution or execute on the solution.
00:14:23.961 --> 00:14:24.422
Ok.
00:14:24.422 --> 00:14:27.264
So for me, what did I come up with as my solution?
00:14:27.264 --> 00:14:28.085
I come up with as my solution.
00:14:28.085 --> 00:14:29.485
So first of all, I looked at it.
00:14:29.485 --> 00:14:32.106
I said I am worthy of those results.
00:14:32.106 --> 00:14:41.403
I may not have been the person who does those kinds of things, but there was also a time that was not the person who did IVs.
00:14:41.403 --> 00:14:42.346
I was not the person who did intubations.
00:14:42.346 --> 00:14:43.951
I was not the person who ran codes.
00:14:43.951 --> 00:14:46.052
I was not the person who did any of that.
00:14:46.052 --> 00:14:48.274
I was not the person who ran a six-figure business.
00:14:48.274 --> 00:14:50.755
I was not the person who ran a seven-figure business.
00:14:51.056 --> 00:14:54.798
And I have evolved, and this is just another step in my evolution.
00:14:54.798 --> 00:15:01.904
And so, because I have this track record of evolving, which every one of you have, right, we can take all the way back.
00:15:01.904 --> 00:15:08.836
There was a time you didn't talk, there was a time you didn't walk, there was a time you couldn't read, there was a time you couldn't write, like, we have a track record of evolution.
00:15:08.836 --> 00:15:12.123
This is normal, this is normal for me, this is normal for you.
00:15:12.123 --> 00:15:13.416
We evolve, okay.
00:15:13.416 --> 00:15:16.360
And so it's one more evolution, okay.
00:15:16.360 --> 00:15:24.942
So, which means I can become the kind of person who does that, and I start by identifying as the kind of person who does that, right.
00:15:24.942 --> 00:15:34.309
And so, you know, I have exercises of visualization where I'm visualizing myself as that person, right, so I can sit in it more, because I've never seen myself as that person.
00:15:34.309 --> 00:15:36.855
So I visualize myself with the results.
00:15:36.855 --> 00:15:42.155
I visualize myself taking the action and somebody may say, oh, this is woo woo.
00:15:42.155 --> 00:15:42.537
Listen.
00:15:42.738 --> 00:15:44.341
Professional golfers do this.
00:15:44.341 --> 00:15:46.673
Professional basketball players do this.
00:15:46.673 --> 00:15:50.835
The elite of the elite, the high performance people you know and admire, they all do this, do this.
00:15:50.835 --> 00:15:52.919
The elite of the elite, the high performance people you know and admire, they all do this.
00:15:52.919 --> 00:15:55.908
Golfers have times where they just sit and imagine themselves taking the shot.
00:15:55.908 --> 00:15:56.932
You're going into the hole.
00:15:56.932 --> 00:15:58.395
Taking the shot is going to the hole.
00:15:58.395 --> 00:16:00.812
Basketball players have times where they just sit.
00:16:00.812 --> 00:16:02.495
They're sitting at the free throw line.
00:16:02.495 --> 00:16:04.970
They shoot the ball, it gets into the basket.
00:16:04.970 --> 00:16:06.230
They shoot the ball, they get into the basket.
00:16:06.230 --> 00:16:12.034
They do this hundreds of times, sometimes thousands of times, in their mind before they actually go and do it.
00:16:12.034 --> 00:16:16.918
And so if it's good for the basketball players, the elite basketball players, it's good for the elite golfers.
00:16:16.918 --> 00:16:17.818
Guess who it's good for?
00:16:17.818 --> 00:16:19.980
It's good for the elite physician entrepreneurs.
00:16:20.301 --> 00:16:25.364
On the other side of it, I imagine myself taking the action, doing it confidently, and all of that.
00:16:25.364 --> 00:16:31.745
What am I doing?
00:16:31.745 --> 00:16:34.027
I'm rewiring the way that I think about myself.
00:16:34.027 --> 00:16:35.027
I can choose to believe.
00:16:35.027 --> 00:16:35.827
I'm not the person.
00:16:35.827 --> 00:16:37.467
I can choose to believe I am the person.
00:16:37.467 --> 00:16:38.349
Either way, I'm right.
00:16:38.349 --> 00:16:42.152
So I am going to choose what works for me, not what works against me.
00:16:42.451 --> 00:16:48.576
Okay, so visualization is part of it, it's part of what I do and it's also the frequency of it, right?
00:16:48.576 --> 00:17:02.427
And so you know like now I've set this thing where you know, twice a day I'm leaning into who I am, the kind of results I create, the way I show up, the kind of actions I take, the responses I get from the market and all of those things.
00:17:02.427 --> 00:17:09.781
I'm doing that so I can start identifying as that kind of person, so I can start doing the action and creating the results.
00:17:09.781 --> 00:17:11.505
But I want you to think of.
00:17:11.505 --> 00:17:25.894
All of this came out of one week of setting goals and then going back to evaluate, to see where I was and to have this come to Jesus, meeting with myself, be honest with myself, get rid of the lies, look for the actual root cause, come up with a solution.
00:17:25.894 --> 00:17:26.695
So guess what?
00:17:26.695 --> 00:17:39.281
Now, this week, I'm now showing up as that person because I took the time to tackle all of that, which means every week I come as a new version of myself.
00:17:39.281 --> 00:17:43.416
Every week I come as an up-level, upgraded version of myself.
00:17:43.416 --> 00:17:50.320
And again, if I do this every week for 52 weeks, this is 52 significant transformations.
00:17:50.320 --> 00:17:53.750
There is no way to do that and remain the same.
00:17:53.750 --> 00:17:58.398
I am so excited about this because guess who can do this?
00:17:58.398 --> 00:18:03.054
Every physician, every like every, and this is literally for every physician.
00:18:03.094 --> 00:18:15.096
If you feel like you're stuck, there's something you need to go look at, and if you look at it, you can get unstuck in a matter of minutes, in a matter of maybe an hour.
00:18:15.096 --> 00:18:16.275
It takes you to pull it all off.
00:18:16.275 --> 00:18:18.076
It doesn't matter if you get unstuck in an hour.
00:18:18.076 --> 00:18:20.111
That was a great use of an hour, okay.
00:18:20.111 --> 00:18:27.472
So I want to challenge you, and the challenge here is to reject the status quo with everything you have, the areas where you're stuck.
00:18:27.613 --> 00:18:31.020
Don't just accept this is the way I am, the areas where you're stuck.
00:18:31.020 --> 00:18:32.625
Don't just accept this is the way I am.
00:18:32.625 --> 00:18:35.915
Don't lie to yourself oh my goodness.
00:18:35.915 --> 00:18:36.988
Be honest about the state of things.
00:18:36.988 --> 00:18:37.846
Be honest about the state of your personal life.
00:18:37.846 --> 00:18:39.718
Be honest about the state of your business and not from a standpoint oh, everything sucks.
00:18:39.718 --> 00:18:44.971
No, being honest also includes acknowledging all the great things, because this was not the only thing I did.
