Thank you very much for being here. Before I start tonight, I just wanted to read a brief statement that I prepared. I denounce anti semitism in all its forms. And I stand with my friends and the Jewish community. And that is how you buy yourself some time.

Jeff:

Yo, welcome to a new episode of the coach. There's your boy Jeff, I'm here with my man ain't got a lot of shit to discuss a lot of shit going on right now. was good. All right. All right, right now. Was that laugh? What is that little laugh?

Anthony:

Some were discussing the moment

Jeff:

I well, I got a new get a word or the week we got. We got a lot of shit to go over. m&ms has got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Dr. Dre. Did you see that shit. Last week we didn't really get to go into last week because it happened after we recorded. He brought he performed a little you know, it was I got emotional. Like when Dre speaks. Like I get emotional just because like everybody knows the story how Dre basically risked his entire career right? To sign his whiteboard. And he goes into detail how about everybody told him not to, you know not to sign him? You know what I'm saying? Because it was really risky. Like, you know, you're signing his white boy into this black genre into this black culture. You know, anything could go wrong. He's like, Nah, fuck it, like the amount of I don't want to say trust the amount of belief that he had in Eminem and in the Slim Shady project like, that's it is emotional to me. I know black people don't really care about Eminem much but the whole story of how Dre risking his career taking his chance, and having so much faith and in eliminating belief and what he was going to do with him to make him the highest selling rap artist of all time and be in his big success story like that. Holy shit is like inspirational to me, bro. Like, I get emotional when when I hear Dre up there talking about this shit.

Anthony:

don't really think black people don't like Eminem, don't you? For the

Jeff:

for the most part. They don't care. I'm not saying they don't like him. They just don't care for him or his music because the fact that's a fact. Because they can't relate to it for whatever reason, but we're not talking about that. I'm just talking about the whole story of you know what I mean? Dre finding and because Jimmy I've been brought him a mixtape. And he heard and he's like, Yo, this dude is dope, bring him in. And he says how Jimmy called them in the next day. He's like, hey, Dre, you know, he's a white guy, right? And Dre is like, Yo, that should fuck me up. Like, and he was like, and I should have known because black people don't rap like this. They don't sound like this and they don't rap about the stuff he was rapping so I should have known but Dre says you know, I was ignorant. I was naive, but I should have known he wasn't black, but he just couldn't fathom the idea that a rapper this good wasn't black was anything but black. You know, I mean? And Eminem, he you know, he introduces M and M does a little pot pourri of songs. And he brings out Steven Tyler,

Anthony:

you see pop Murray is a pop, pop peri

Jeff:

peri, whatever the fuck it spelled popper.

Anthony:

I love

Jeff:

he brings Steven Tyler on right? Because Steven Tyler does the hook to sink for the moment. And Steven Tyler look at Oh, we talked about rock stars last week. You know how they died from drug overdoses and stuff, but they never die from being shot. This motherfucker looks old and he looks like he's done a lot of drugs in his life. But anyway,

Anthony:

he lived a long life I

Jeff:

guess you could say. So when I see Steven Tyler up there with Eminem, the very first thing that comes to my mind and I'm watching this shit on my phone with Wi Fi. We're still in bed watching the show. And I tell her this, and I'm like yo, hip hop has single handedly kept Steven Tyler's career afloat. Hip hop has single handedly resurrected Steven Tyler's career not once but twice, and maybe more than twice because back up back up once upon a time when his career was in shambles they weren't even you know, Aerosmith wasn't even selling out fucking stadiums anymore. They decided to do a song with Run DMC walk this way. It becomes a hit. And then all of a sudden Aerosmith goes on tour again and starts selling shit out. People are forgetting about them again. Eminem comes out and he uses a sample of them and now he's bringing them up on stage and shit. You know, I'm saying like, nobody's checking for Aerosmith, or Steven Tyler. Besides the fact that his you know, his daughter is a beautiful actress or whatever. But nobody's checking for him. You know what I'm saying? But then you got songs like this, and they they keep him relevant. But anyway, so yeah, he has him on there. He brings Ed Sheeran Am I saying his name right and Shereen Ed Sheeran,

Anthony:

the redheaded Irish guy,

Jeff:

redheaded Irish guy real popular right now. So he brings him up on stage and he does Dido's parts on Stan. And I was like, What the fuck was Dido? Like? He replaced it with another white mother. I guess it was busy. And he did a good job. He's up there with a guitar. He's singing, you know, my teas gone cold. I'm one Doing Wow, whatever. And then Eminem takes the stage and his speeches like he doesn't even take nobody except for like the four of the, you know, all the artists that he grew up listening to. That's literally all he did. He didn't think his mom, his daughter, he didn't think God he didn't think proof or none of his boys. He basically just said, Yo, this is the culture that made me this has shaped who I am. And I'm about to name everybody that was my teachers growing up, you know, I mean, like hip hop was my school and these are my teachers and he literally named every artist that influenced him from A to Z like it was almost an alphabetic order.

Anthony:

Jay Z Tupac and Biggie Andrew Malkin.

Jeff:

Rob NAS and then me. He named all of those cards, but he named Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince which was surprising to me. Maybe it should have been surprising to me because you know a lot of people did they influenced a lot of you know, a lot of people Fresh Prince Jazzy Jeff you know, the first rap Grammy etc.

Anthony:

The Grammy the video debility like to be like one of the most popular Hip Hop visible hip hop artists out there because when he was he was popular but didn't get popular until he did a shoot with Aerosmith. Like on a grand scale. But MTV start putting out videos you guys have fresh prints and like who is this guy who was fun? They got they won a Grammy so like it's, I get it. I understand his

Jeff:

I understand it, but I also have to I also have to realize that for the most part of the culture differentiates fresh prints from Will Smith. Right. He didn't say I want to thank Will Smith. No, because he has destroyed Smithson songs before. But he did say I want to thank you know Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince along with LL Cool J and K RS one and MC Shan and he went on and on

Anthony:

the Christmas wraps to sell records. What will I do so fuck him and fuck you too. So yeah, they're gonna give a shit about a Grammy if you could just get UFC he like doesn't even stomach me, let alone stand. I think what people really misinterpret about Eminem is like understanding all the trials and tribulations went through in his life. He's not stupid. Like he truly understands what people are saying when they're saying it. That's why I went when all this shit popped off about like, game having a beef with him. I said, there's no way in hell, he's going to respond back. He's too smart like this. This has nothing to him. And it was he never said one single word. But that's the end for you. But yeah, please continue.

Jeff:

No, that was just said I was just a little bit surprised that he would mention him, but whatever. And that's it. And then he just after he ran down his list of like, 100 people. Then he said, I thank you peace and walked off. I'm like, Damn, you know, his daughter's day on the stage. Oh, he did say that. Drugs were delicious. You know, he told he told Haley to, to close her ears when he said, you know, because he mentioned that he almost overdose back in like 2007 or whatever. And he said, you know, drugs are just delicious or whatever.

Anthony:

He deserves the honor. I don't care at this point in time in life, about the placement of who gets put in first. As long as you're in the Hall of Fame. It's all it really matters since a Rock Roll Hall of Fame. All kinds of genres of music.

Jeff:

And he's hip rock to write. He's like shock rock. He's shocked rap mixed with a hip rap. He's you know, he's all of that. But he was always some songs that you could consider rock.

Anthony:

Yeah, but I think but it's the problem with that the whole thing that is it is defined incorrectly. They call it a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But they elect people from all genres. Because rock and roll is the one genre which has ripped off more genres than any of the other ones. Because correct rock eight rock rock is a combination of classical jazz.

Jeff:

Southern all black is all black music is all black coaches.

Anthony:

Right? It's the whole thing about like people like madmen last week. I think Jerry Lee Lewis dies and stuff like that. I'm like, Yeah, but it's still all the shit from Little Richard like, I don't care. And like it's that kind of thing. So it's the like, I think before they put they put in Oh, cool. J like a year or so ago.

Jeff:

Yeah, they put I think Ella was in them. I think Run DMC and it's only like a like a handful of

Anthony:

all right, Run DMC, I think NWA was in there as a group. But it's one of the things called the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which should kind of just be like the Music Hall of Fame.

Jeff:

They should rename it. Yeah,

Anthony:

I mean, Eminem deserving of the title because he's one of the greatest of all time, there's no, there's no point of discussing. There's no point of like, trying to have the argument or so and so forth. You can take any branch of hip hop that you want to do, he's probably going to rate in the top five at worst top 10 depending on what you choose his lyricism content, thought provoking bars, whatever. He's going to be up there. He's no less than to be in any category. Like maybe it'd be mine, but that's another discussion for another day. Is a well deserved by Eminem. Sure. I think the whole thing of him just stating the people that like like, mentored him because like I said, in his music, you hear it himself. That It was basically him and his mother and his situation with her wasn't really that great, even though she sent us a letter congratulating him on what occurred. It's really, really he's a child of hip hop. He truly is. He was born in battle rap. He got signed by Dr. Dre and anyone for from them. I mean, what more can you say?

Jeff:

I agree. So shout outs to him. Congrats to Eminem Slim Shady Marshall Mathers. new NAS album came out. And I know people are still hung up on his Drake and 21 Savage album. You know, they're number one on all the boys on all the charts or whatever it is, but that's not for me. Okay,

Anthony:

hold on. What is for me? Quick, tender. Quick, Tanya. quick tangent. I don't understand. Like I listened to that. I can't understand why women will play that album. I just don't

Jeff:

I don't I don't think it's not even just for women. I think it's for everybody. I couldn't get past the second song bro.

Anthony:

No, no, no, no, I mean like when you listen to the album like they're shitting on women. Like that's what they should only Yeah, like, like none of them always say get out my do two things and then the album cover is a woman right? Right. And I do always listen to the album two ways always listen to the album driving the entire time. Now the time I was like listen to like, sitting down at work or like in a grocery store like sits in my ears like how do I feel? I'm just moving through things. And I'm like, is it a good Yeah, but is it like like you know he just is wiping the axe which are like they just like trashing women left and right but

Jeff:

that's what I'm saying. I look man I give people I give it a chance bro. I shit on Drake I shit on all these new cats and all of this but I gave it a chance and once I got to like the third song I couldn't do it. I was like just ain't for me like I'm not hating on it you know? I'm not saying it's trash. I can see why people might like it. It's just not for me okay, but what is for me is the new knives King disease three album that just dropped produced by hit boy is the fourth hit boy album he does and the third King disease album and it's

Anthony:

it's a great combination.

Jeff:

And I texted you right away I'm like yo, I think I texted you and Mikey she and I said Yo I think hit boy is cementing his legacy with this little NAS run that he has going on because they're not missing like at all like every album that he's made with hit boy so far is an album of the year candidate you know they only got one they got the first king disease one album of the year. But I think all of them should be nominated at the very least because there's they're that good you know what I'm saying between the beats between the storytelling between the you know, the lyric everything is lyrical with storytelling is nostalgic. The beats are good. It's

Anthony:

you know that we can have a category tip. The past couple of years it could have been nominator your hip hop been kind of weak. I've been real good over the past few years anyway, being real honest about this shit. But this year, they put out some great material. This is one of them.

Jeff:

But they probably don't want you know, they don't want to they want to they want to please the young demographic so they don't want to give it to nods every year give it to somebody you know, I'm saying that's considered quote unquote old like an old head. But but he could he can easily win it every year.

Anthony:

Okay, good. I want to please put it I'm trying to look

Jeff:

because nobody's dropped his shirt like this like yeah, and the people that are dropping albums that I would consider like really good. Are all the old heads the knives the black dog, you know what I'm saying? Like, none of these young young cats court day is one of my favorites of today's kids. And I've told you this in his album is not coming near any of the old quote unquote old heads albums that you know, that come out recently. The m&ms Like I said, Nah, it's black doll. Who else even the DMX shit that came out last year? Like they can easily give album of the year to an old head every year. But they won't do that obviously for a lot obvious reasons. They don't want to alienate their main demographic. You know what I mean? Who was a man who was listening to the radio? The fucking 20 year olds bro that's a

Anthony:

that's a tricky thing. None of them are listening to the radio. They're all listening to streaming Well, I guess you're right. Like none of them listen to radio

Jeff:

they're all you know that I think of it we're the ones listening to the radio the O heads right and that but but but the shit that they play on the radio was not for the old heads so make that should make sense. The shit on the radio is not the shit that I will listen to right so I won't listen to the radio

Anthony:

is for the young kids and the young kids are still gonna go by the hour. They want to hit it somewhere. We try to get to think it's like everything's advertising and marketing so like if you listen to the radio no one's gonna care. But what the young kids the ones that like just kind of throw money away freely they ain't gotta worry about really other shit like I heard the song and ended up but oh do they have dishes for sale? I'm gonna look at this like it's the old trying to pitch something and I understand that but it's more in the sense like the album's and the people that you want to have it. I think if if you make a well crafted deserving one is going to appear. I think the issue It's always been especially with the Grammys is that they don't quite get the music. So they just kind of like nominate people for the sake of nominate my focus and be like, Yo, why are nominating this person? Why a nominee in that? But yes, you're the nominee at this time I should have because like I said, even then you guys can come perform on our show. You guys can be on the red carpet guys could be the biggest draw. But are we going to give you this award? Probably not. They always been really good at that. And the moment we stop accepting that like just kind of moving on, but alright man, fuck it. We're gonna do some more but it still matters to people a lot. Like just it just does. You know what I mean? Like, like, winning that award matters. The fuck out of us. Like just just to be able to say that I got this. I got a Grammy Award thing because like the, like the pinnacle was shit. So when it comes across, I want not to be introduced to this. Oh my God. And when he's to be up there, I want a couple of albums to be up there because it's been a really good year in hip hop. But to worry about the gatekeeper selling he was fine with not doesn't really matter because, I mean, now it's low key for this album I have like, maybe I don't think about it. Maybe an underrated classic. We really listened to it. Because that that is top tier rap and by NAS which is kind of expected and the thing about hit boy is that the production is the the production has always been great. I think with him. I think we come from a generation of bombastic producers. What I mean is Kanye, Tim Swiss and just yet just to speak over the record stuff like that. It boy just like he just produces. I mean, what what DJ must like like, must have to do that is their name and their feeling that touching their sounds all over? Hit boy just goes in there and crafts. You doesn't seem like too eager to get the limelight. He's like, Nah, I make beats and I make great ones. And it works well with this guy. Which I didn't expect because the thing about NAS is always the whole this is kind of a misnomer. He can't pick beat. That's I never liked that. That he addresses that shouldn't but I never liked that. I always thought that the key to really unlocking I thought Kanye was gonna do this, but apparently he's a fucking lunatic. Once you lock him in with one producer and be like, I'm, you're gonna have to just your shit to my sound. I'm not adjusting my sound to your shit. Because they all do that tonight because he's nice. They all fall in deference to him except for premiere. Every other producer does it. They just fall in different because he's the seer Jones. It works with hit boy because hit boys you're gonna him but hit was like, Look, I'm gonna make some shit. And I don't want to see what you can do with it. And it's worked for one to four albums in a row. That was also the code unlocking it and hit boy has now the question is how long is he going to have it? Because if he's making this kind of shift for him, he's gonna really start being in demand, as they say. So I hope they keep the train rolling. But is it a really good album? Fuck yes. It was one of the best works. I'm trying to see if I can rank it in my brain.

Jeff:

Like Mike how many mics? Out? I'll probably give it like maybe for like four months. Yeah, for

Anthony:

I would say kings disease kings. Kings is like reading fucking Star Wars. King disease kings disease three. was the other one. Shine that magic. I

Jeff:

think it was a big thank

Anthony:

you. Thank you. I think magic third and King disease two is four. But they're all is tight. It's not a big ass gap between them. It's

Jeff:

tight. But yeah, I think that's right. Tell me if I'm wrong. I feel like I feel like sometimes Knauss greatness works to a detriment. Like sometimes it hurts him. Because like you said before, like you listen to knives. And you are you expect it right? Oh, the lyrics are dope. You know, storytelling is phenomenal. And you almost expect it and you're like, Yeah, you know, it's nice, you know? Like, I feel like sometimes, you know, he gets overlooked just because you're just expecting it already. Like, you know, you expect it to be great. You listen to it, you're like, yeah, it's great. And you throw it to the side.

Anthony:

Right? It's like it's like, like recipes COVID. Like if you bought tickets to a Lakers game, and Kobe only had 21 Like, okay, you got 21 But I like Brock game, as you see drop a 40 bomb tonight. I know you keep Beloved. But when he does, it's kind of does what he does, but it's still brilliant. But it's not what you expected. Like, well, I guess I'm satisfied. You are because it happened just wasn't up to your particular expectation of what you you know what it is, is the expectation versus the reality. The thing is that the reality of NAS is that he's always going to be a good rapper, no matter what you put them in, like, recently like an old or not, it's not that, like people gotta let that Braveheart would have should go doesn't long time ago is a very different version of not just older, more mature version of him has never put out any kind of bad project anything terrible at this point at that time. So what you're expecting him to do we expect him to be is just, you know, being a seer. So when he goes out there he does that. It's fine. Like even even at that, that Connie shit. There was some good rapping on it. But again, it was just over flooded by the silly ass visa just didn't kind of work with him. And it's like, that's that reality versus expectation. like Kanye explained. Like, I can just do some crazy shit on but you know what is nice, he's gonna make it work. Doesn't work that way. Like he still put some great verses on but it's over. Done by overproduction. He's with a guy who right now who does very solid production is clean is smooth. That five heartbeat shit that was a nice like, I know you're going with this, when you have that kind of beat maker who has that kind of ability to really tune in and be like, I know what works for me. And I'm going to play this. And you're going to have to make it work for you. And now it's kind of guy who looks up to that. It's like a challenge. Like, yeah, I can do this. And I've done it for four hours in a row. That's the brain of nice. That's what makes him who he is because there's no flinching on that he's he's he's one of the greats and he's proven it for what for I'm gonna row I can't wait for the next collaboration.

Jeff:

One of my favorite lines on the album he goes no before rivals they play an ether on title brothers can do anything when they decide to in a Range Rover dissecting bars from takeover. Sometimes I text Hova like brother this ain't over

Anthony:

this is buddy hey man look man just because I'm talking about the shooting

Jeff:

like I want I kind of one brother you know I want you playing my shit on your on your platform.

Anthony:

Like like watching the fight and someone call the draw like, I don't know, that last round could have put them points that way. He put it that way. Like ether and ether and take over. It's just one of them things. It's it's honestly a gentleman's preference. If

Jeff:

you say anything else. I wonder what Jay responds to that text. He's like, Yo, let it go bras 20 plus years ago, let it go.

Anthony:

I can't answer my phone.

Jeff:

He sends him he sends him a screenshot of his bank account.

Anthony:

I can't I can't answer my phone right now. I haven't bad signal in San Tropez. I can't I'm sorry. Now. It's like you're breaking up. I can't do that. Get this message. I apologize. Like not I think they're cool and and coordinate. They're respectful towards each other. It's just such a weird thing that what is it? What's going on? almost 30 years later, people still talking about the shit

Jeff:

20 That should not Aisha was like she came out in 2001.

Anthony:

I was in high school. 20 years later.

Jeff:

Let go and he was like, well, let it go. Let it go.

Anthony:

Let it go. Let it go. 20 years later. They can't help it i Hatfield McCoy. But great job now. That shit was great.

Jeff:

Oh, Black Panther movie came out. We both watched it. You watched it earlier than me because you're you're Fein.

Anthony:

Look, man. Because you're talking about I'm gonna go to this movie at 1130. And I say shit. I ain't going. No, I couldn't find tickets, bro. Are you pumped? Because I'm gonna tell the whole story. I told you last month ago said panda coming out and give tickets. I called her prom. Two weeks ago. Panda come out. I'm gonna tickets. I cool. I'm gonna get it. I'm on the way to work. You text me like, Yo, I was like, yes, yes, I am. Like, man, I can't find tickets. Nowhere. So I told you as I told you,

Jeff:

and this was like days before? Like two days a week of

Anthony:

like, icons. God damn ticking. I told you. I told you before go ahead and find and look and you look like and then he was like, I like I found tickets for Friday show like 1130 at night. I'm like, I'm out. I'm not doing it. I'm not gonna live there. I'm not doing that.

Jeff:

But yo, so call out of work to go watch the show.

Anthony:

I also told you I said I found some other shit on Saturday. I said cancel tickets. Like I'm not canceling. You know, not canceling tickets. Like I need to keep watching early on Saturday. Why don't you watch it? Watch it at midnight, which is fine either way. One argue with you. You want to cancel tickets and find out earlier time who was gonna fresher?

Jeff:

Look man. I'm a notorious I am a notorious procrastinator. Like I leave everything for last minute. And I'm effective at that show today. You know, I'm saying like whatever it is, I gotta write a paper. I got to do some shit for work. I'm leaving that shit to the very last second. And then I'm gonna bang it out at the end. And he's gonna come out beautiful. You know what I'm saying? That's that's just how it is. Like I need that pressure. I don't know what it is I need that pressure to function properly. Like without pressure. I can't function. That sounds as fucked up as that sounds. You know how they say when you you know, you do your best work when your backs against the rope. That's me rocking it, I mean, and I don't do it on purpose. You do you just said. Like, I'm just I don't know, I'm like I just push it off, push it off and then and when I need to then I get it done.

Anthony:

I know. But

Jeff:

anyways, midnight showing I did not fall asleep. Which was miraculous, but that's how good the movie was in the theater was packed at midnight broke packed as fuck. I'm like god damn Mufasa sitting to my left to my right. I'm like, Damn, I'm thinking it was gonna be you know, more comfortable here. It was bodies on bodies on bodies everywhere. But and it was basically an ode to chair with Bozeman, and I'm not gonna we're not gonna go in here and make some spoilers. I know a lot of people haven't watched him. Fuck that. And I'm gonna be spoiling shit. But now you gotta give them at least a week. Give people at least a week. Sort of

Anthony:

movie to everybody. No, no, no, no, no, we ain't doing it. We're gonna talk about a shit right now. The whole thing is like, if the Super Bowl happened, right? We're not gonna talk about Super Bowl week, ladies we know, but

Jeff:

like I said, I know people that haven't watched it. That's not like a

Anthony:

fucking personal problem to me. Ah, what's the point of doing the show? Watch it before listening to this. Like Hola. You know what I hold on it is. We're gonna put up a time when the fuck that. I want you to hear the sound of my voice. We are about to do spoilers for this movie. So if you've been listening, I would advise you to pause it for say you want to give him 10 minutes. The next 10 minutes skip from this point here to that point and 54321 I spoiler alert. Fuck them. People may like it. They could. They knew the move was coming up. Like I'm awake though. Like waiting for it. Like, man, you wanna talk about a movie like Argentina? Shit, like four times, man, fucking don't talk about it before. I'm emotional dude. That first five minutes and he cried my ass off.

Jeff:

I didn't even get emotional to the end. Like I went with my wife and I went with my sister. They was there was crying throughout the whole every time they showed Chadwick Boseman. A flashback or whatever the fuck they was crying, right,

Anthony:

I cried. I cried my ass. But I personally

Jeff:

didn't get emotional to the end where they brought out his son, right? When they brought out his son, and he goes, my real name is Prince to challah, son of King to child and the kid is like seven, right? He's like a seven year old. And I was like, oh, no, my allergies are kicking in. Immediately the allergy started kicking in

Anthony:

that little boy might be the most adorable child act I've ever seen in my entire life. dorable motherfuck adore reality. Handsome. I

Jeff:

love this little kid. And he kind of looks like he looked like a good combination of both of them. And

Anthony:

I was like, No, thanks in the beginning. Like when they when they do the Marvel logo and they show the pictures. And it gets quiet.

Jeff:

Like it's dead. Right? They don't do that. They don't. Because they don't do it. Right. They don't do the norm. I was waiting for the normal Marvel show where they show Iron Man and spider man and everybody and then a 1010 10 they don't, right? It's eerily silent. Silent. I

Anthony:

can I broke down and just show him Oh my god.

Jeff:

But the thing is, and maybe maybe one of the reasons why I didn't get emotional right away is because he died already years ago. Right? Like I've already I feel like it's been so long. Like it took so long to make this. Like I feel like you know, most of us have already had time to mourn, you know, I'm saying so that's why I say oh, like Yeah, you know, he's been dead already for a long time. It feels like so it didn't hit me till the end

Anthony:

because I think this is their version of goodbye like like, even though he passed away, yeah, life. You kind of remember him as his character and know that well, they're going to do another one. But he won't be in it. So you got to find a way to send a tribute and send off to him. And seeing like the seeing the casket go up and seeing that Marvel logo. I love data three, my eyes are warming up like nah, I'm gonna fight it just does. That touched a part of my soul even though it was there like, Oh, that hurts. That just really, really

Jeff:

hurts. And then his sister starts tearing up at the end. She's on the beach and she closes her eyes and she just reminiscing so they show another montage of Chadwick right when she's to put you know thing and then when she opens her eyes, she meets his son, his son or whatever. My thing is, I suppose my question like where were they hiding this kid for the last you know, maybe seven years or whatever? Well, yeah, like Haiti was shit. Like, what the fuck?

Anthony:

We're not here. That's that's why she was gone. That's why she didn't that's why she didn't go to the funeral or nothing else like that. They were like, you know, when you weren't, she said it hurt me like I missed you and like, and she said at the end, we made a decision that he's going to be raised away from the thrown away from all the pressure he's gonna be here. And that he gets he had some time with him before he died or whatever, in the movie, not in real life. But um, but that's what she wanted to be like. You want to have the pressure of being under that kind of rule, like just live your life and one day, you can come back to one condo and you will be, you know, hopefully king, but they set it up perfectly because he's so younger to take years for that to come to fruition. So it's fine. It's fine.

Jeff:

So So Cherie, so Sheree is the Black Panther in the movie, right? And you know, we all knew it, just from the trailer from the trailers, right? We all knew it, that the system was going to be the, the new Black Panther and it took a while even for them to like, you know, the movie is not really even about the Black Panther to be honest. Because she doesn't even come out in costume for a while, right? Like the Movies were two hours long.

Anthony:

No. Two hours, 45 minutes.

Jeff:

So she doesn't even come out in costume for at least like two hours. Right? Right. At least. And it's like she almost didn't even want the position. Because even at the end, you know, it's when she takes it off. And she she she's like, got some shit to do and she bounces to Haiti. What's the dude's name that they that for Black Panther and part one for the throne?

Anthony:

Baku.

Jeff:

Baku, you know, he comes out and he's like, you know, I'm ready to fight any challenge for this throne. You know, I'm saying so it's like almost she's handing that she's handing the torch. She's like, I don't want this responsibility. You know, I'm saying, like, I'll be the Black Panther, whatever, but I'm not trying to be the queen or the king or whatever they gonna call it. That

Anthony:

was the thing. It wasn't always that way. Because remember, before he was a black panther, his father was king, king to chop it. He was alive than his father died had to take over the mantle of King, but he was also black pants, so you don't have to be both gonna be one or the other. Okay? So she's gonna be Black Panther, but they're gonna let Baku whoever be the king. It's gonna be hilarious. Like I met,

Jeff:

and then they have a little screen. And they have they have a little cameo where killmonger comes out. It made sense. It actually made perfect sense. When she when she saw him in the afterlife or whatever. He's just chilling there. And I was like, oh shit, because you know, I hear no rumors of him being in it. It was real quick. It was like, what, two, three minutes? It made sense to have a little dialogue. And

Anthony:

in the process of explaining the story, it made sense because she needed to know because the thing about the answers you're playing is that you don't go there for like, whatever. Like you go there to get a question answered. Like went to trial or when he went to ask the Father why he killed his brother. Then when he went back the first time he went like Do you think I'm going to be good king the second time he went back was angry as father for murdering you know, his uncle, I guess killmonger Father. So when Sheree goes there she was expecting to see her brother or spec and see a mother but she saw him because she wasn't going to ask a question like she was filled up with rage that's why the room was on fire and everything else at the grade. She wants to be somebody that reflected that rage I wanted to know when to burn the world now like she said when she told me no more than earlier. Kill mine was the same way that's why she saw him not anybody else eventually saw Mom of course but at that moment that's why he's like no like you want to be noble like your brother or you want to get get shit done. Like I like I did like pretty much and he was right. She was filled with anger and rage. She's wanting to just you know, kill a man who you know destroyed her family. She wasn't thinking about peace. Anything else like that hurt her way. It's changed of course. But yeah, it was it was nice came you were popping even Austin. Woohoo. He back like, yeah, he back. And then

Jeff:

we have the main villain of the movie named Moore who's basically an antihero, right. Like, he can be good. He can be bad. He's almost like Magneto, right? Where he's good and bad. He's like, bad against humans. But he's good against like,

Anthony:

villains with it with a reason. Like I never like out. No. I like villains with a reason. Like I'm doing this. But here's why. And Magneto was always good, right? Like, you know what? You know, I want to jump in fucking with mutants forever. So fuck this. No,

Jeff:

it's exactly. It's like It's like the it's like the Malcolm X you know? I'm saying like, Yo, you hate us. So I'm gonna fucking hate you back.

Anthony:

I'm saying it's not all Yo my car and I'm cool the rest of y'all fucking

Jeff:

not the bad anymore, you know? And he's supposed to be like a mind and right but is that actor even Spanish? He is? Because he looks Spanish is fun. And you know, he says some Spanish shit on it. Cuz I'm from because I'm like, yo, Nate and they made no more Hispanic as a motherfucker. And this

Anthony:

ship was a very specific reason because the whole thing is that Aquaman is popular and you got that you can't have to Atlanticist it. It's It's nonsensical, but the building around Mayan culture, which had like a Sega see got out of it, and so on so forth. And switching the story a little bit. And like I said, he calls off a mute. And so there you got more means.

Jeff:

That's what I was gonna say when he said mute and I geeked out and my wife is like, wow, you know, she didn't really understand. I'm like, yo, you don't understand. He said the word mu and he said the word mutant. They don't say this in the MCU. They've never said it right. They've never called it The body immune even though we know that one does a mutant but they've never referred to her as immune and they've never said the word mutant before. So for now to openly it's like they're opening that door finally right it's like when the you know, the finally acknowledged that mutants exist it's Marvel they're opening that door to they mentioned it right

Anthony:

and Miss Marvel, like definitely kind of didn't say planets get some kind of

Jeff:

they said mutation they said the word mutation in her in her blood, right then and then and they said they have a mutation in the blood or in the in the in the genes issue. But he said I am a mutant. He's supposed to be like the first mutant ever shit, right? Yes. So now that's opening the doors. So eventually introducing the whole X Men world, you know, man universe and shit. But anyway, so it was a good movie, which will give it from like a one to five. How many mics you give it for? Four? I get Yeah, again, I'll give it a four for my

Anthony:

like, it's like it's just

Jeff:

it's because it seems like a standalone movie. It doesn't seem like it's gonna you know, flow with any the rest of this shit. I mean, it might you

Anthony:

know what? I'm 100% good with, um, because you know what, a lot of the movies get dragged down because you're not really watching the movie, you're watching to see how they should connect something, they'll sometimes just want to see the movie. Right? Like, just tell right? Or like a comic book does a comic book. The reason why it's great is because it's these writers. Just not just the artistry, so wonderful. It's the writers and they write a very particular story for this one arc. They don't leave they don't like they don't say this, but this is part of that, or this incident. They don't. It's just this one simple condensed story. And it did a really good job at it. And the most important thing, which kind of makes it going from like a classic Marvel movie to probably just a really good one is that they had to pay difference to chat with because it's not even with Sheree as a Black Panther. There's something about her suit and it's nothing sexist about it just doesn't seem right. And I don't want to seem offensive about that. Is that you knew who the Black Panther was passed away in real life and and movie and we're all thinking like who's going to be next Black Panther like well the ombudsperson going to take up the mantle is right there. And you know, we're kind of still trying to get a shit together it's still a little bit in disarray there's no king yet. They have a black panther begrudgingly that who now has a nephew was the world's not going to know about for God knows how long and I did appreciate that didn't see like, Oh, this is gonna lead to Thunderbolt. So this is going to lead to the excellent. No man. Sometimes. But I meant to store our 10 minutes. 10 minutes, man. Next time you're watching me, bitch.

Jeff:

Yo, the last topic I want to get into is is this Elon Musk and Twitter shut? I know you're not on Twitter. I know you don't really fuck with Twitter. You know, I fuck with Twitter. But I know you also read a lot. And you're usually up on everything, right? So Elon Musk buys Twitter, right? For like an absorbent amount of money for the forum. And he starts changing some of the rules. And he started charging motherfuckers $8. Right? To get quote unquote, verified $8 month subscription, right? The main thing about the subscription is you get verified for those that don't know you get verified, you know, when you go and check on celebrities, Twitter, they have the little blue checkmark, that means they're verified that means this is the real person this is this is them. They're legit, right? When you go check,

Anthony:

how to fucking know, right? It's a good investment for you.

Jeff:

So with the $8 subscription, you get, you get the blue checkmark, no matter who you are, right. And then there's other things too, like, you know, you get more characters or something when you send a message, like three or four different things or whatever the fuck not worth $8 Anyway. So my thing is, people were actually paying these $8 to pretend to be a celebrity to pretend to be a celebrity.

Anthony:

Right? What in generation have to understand?

Jeff:

And what made it even worse is that people started doing this and Elon Musk didn't think this through was they did it to also parody real celebrities. So all of a sudden, all these new parody accounts started coming up. I'm Donald Trump. I'm Elon Musk myself Somebody made an Elon Musk parody account I'm this person I'm not I'm Obama you're not I mean, I'm George Bush I'm whoever whoever you want it to be. You could be this pay the $8 and get the little blue checkmark and make people believe that you were really this person. So then he made he made a rule like okay, if you're going to do that you have to put in your bio or in your description or whatever that this is a parody account, right? It didn't matter people was putting that but a lot of people were still falling for the shit. When Obama would say some when this person would say something when that person say some all types of shit, to the point where he's like, this is getting out of hand. I think he's taking a down I think he's taking that shit off now. But my point is that society is fucked bro. Like this is where we're this is where we at now we're living in a fantasy land now like this generation is so fried and I don't and I keep prefixing every time I come on here and say some shit like this I always disclaimer that yeah I know I'm gonna sound like the Oh head I'm gonna sound like the angry old person or you're angry or every hey hey I'm gonna come over here what do you come over here back in my day white beyond right like oh man dude like i Back in my day like it because back in my day should was wasn't fucked up as it is now. Okay, I was in

Anthony:

school and it was shooting and it was hot and I had one shoe on my left we survived ahead of sky and I was struggling but you know what I did something myself Shut up pick us up

Jeff:

and we didn't have social media and we had to go outside and play in the sunlight we had we turned out just fine.

Anthony:

Time just a burden sports, blood sweat and tears and scabs on your knees and wrinkly eyes and broken backs. And you know what? We put some fucking rubbing alcohol on it next morning. We was good to guys right? The school like you Oh, Nick is cute, but some Vapor Rub on that bitch where every old man put some Vic Sonics every fucking superhero. They they survive like they never live. They survive? Shut up.

Jeff:

But am I right? Am I right or wrong, though, like this generation is fried. When we're paying $8 to get a checkmark on your Twitter so that you can pretend to be a motherfucking celebrity? How sad is that shit.

Anthony:

Before we talk about the take off thing and people stepping net stepping to try to help save a man's life. They will prefer to record it. I said this is a cloud chasing generation. Nobody wants to work hard. Everybody wants to be famous and not by their own hard work. And their own blood, sweat and tears. They want to do everything in their power to take the shortest, like route to success. Not understanding that there is no shortcuts to success, you have to take the stairs. We all do. But they're all that way. They would they would rather pay 8000 a month. And I don't know if he put and that's the whole thing. Your verification process is supposed to make sure that this shit is solid, that is paying 8000 a month now they own somebody else's name. How strong is your verification process, then it's not really a verification process. It's a subscription. That's all it is. If I can go ahead and be Jay Z, you gotta go through a verification process. And to do everything, I got a blue checkmark, that's a jay z x j, what the fuck I want to say, can't give it back to Jake, you're going to uncheck me now because you're supposed to do your part and check me to make sure I am who I am right? Then do that. But this is the generation that you're dealing with. They want to do everything to be someone else's self be themselves because they don't know what they truly feel about their own existence. Like how do I fit into the world, like everybody wants to be famous. Nobody wants to be a square. And the best thing that you want to be in this time in life, just be a square, just go to fuck home, go to fuck to work and just take care of your family, your friends. And that's it. Everybody wants to be famous. They want to kind of walk their way through this and they want to just be given everything. By hook or by crook they want to do this that way. That leads me to my tangent. We're going to go back to this point. Have you ever heard of FTX? No. FTX is a crypto company. And I always tell people I don't trust the funny money. I don't trust them shit. It's not backed by anything else. So the Miami Heat had to find a new name to rename their their arena. I think they had like a like a really good I think they had like a I can't remember how much it was in the hundreds of millions of dollars for the signing rights of their building from the F to call it FTX stadium. But the ft x people basically some crypto shit came down where another crypto base place basically said that no, we're gonna stop trading their coins. So everything plummeted. So the guy who owns FTX basically filed bankruptcy. So now the heat she's had to take the taking the name of the building because well the campaign and bankruptcy they have the money people are just trying to dump coins, right? It's a bunch of shenanigans going on. But again, is that shortcut, and I think I think if properly regulated, which is kind of go against the whole idea of crypto to properly regulate your product be something that can be efficient and good for people. But they don't want to go out and earn an average as dollar like everybody else. They want it and want it have a coin and crew don't want to do this, I'm gonna do that it's going to invest in this until it's a fourth. I remember my dad asked me back a long time ago, he's like, can you explain to me by Christmas? Do you just trust me? Don't do it. You're just wasting your time right now. And you're gonna take a couple of years but don't do it now. But why is it everything's running hot and like it's just like, like, like a stock they pumping it up? They'll dump it down. It's like do with FTX it doesn't really work that way. Everyone wants to take the short route to it like I'm have this coin. And how do I mind how to do this and how to do that? Well, it's just an unregulated shit right now. Twitter, even as the the gaping asshole it used to be is it seems even while they're now like it's more unregulated, like didn't eat like Ilan put up a picture of like a German soldier with like, the like three doves like tattoos back though from like World War Two, say three unread, three unread tweets. Even though that was like a German soldier in World War Two, and so on, so forth. So like, you're kind of out and out, pushing forward Nazi propaganda without saying this Nazi propaganda kind of like the Kanye nope, kinda like the kind of curvy thing,

Jeff:

but we don't even know you got to make sure that was really him, though, because that could have been a parody.

Anthony:

It was it was from his account, because it he made it clear it was from his account, it wasn't a parody. He The thing is that he doesn't like parody. He basically like I think Kathy Griffin made made a parody account, like banner for life. So he knows when he's being mocked, but the rest of the show like he's gonna kind of let it slide. This is all fucked. And all these kids suck. I don't dislike them. I just think that there is an ultimate way I think, the easy way never worked for anybody, and it won't work for them, even though they believe so they think like, you know, if I can get this algorithm to hit or I can get this tick tock video to trend or I can get this crypto coin to explode. I'll be rich. But even if you're rich, man, I don't mean you happy. I think none of them on the fuck is happening. Like, imagine being a regular ass person. And then you do something on tick tock and you become famous for it. But you've never really wanted fame. Now you're just in this machine. Because it's a way to kind of, you know, make money and take care of things and take care of people. But you really don't want to do it. Like I'm not sort of all of them want to be famous, like the ones that always hit are ones that just like are random, like not people aiming to do the shit. But it's a generation that just gives up on hard work. And sometimes, I mean, as shitty as life might be sometimes that's all you really just need to work hard. You're not gonna get a bad result. You're not gonna be fucked up, but you're gonna get something good out of it. It might not be the greatest thing but you're gonna get some yummy

Jeff:

shout outs to order Twitter group chats. I mean, I know I'm gonna offend some people, because I know some of these motherfuckers that did that show they paid the $8 verified. Y'all a sad bro y'all awesome. Sad. Motherfuckers man. All right. And I don't care if you call me I'm the old guy that comes on here and shits on the new generation. This generation is fucked. Yeah, some lazy Fox dumb as fuck. And shit is trash. Okay. And shout outs to Pastor Charles you know, this is Dooney Pastor Charles and one of the chats that I'm in the most Galius gangsters fucking pastor I've ever I've ever met my phone could be your head cursing and shit. I'm like, yo, past him. I'm gonna have to get you on the fucking podcast.

Anthony:

But anyways, a real pastor. Supposedly. I'm not gonna take the man's posle he's a

Jeff:

Pentecostal fucking pastor shit man who preaches the word and teaches the Sunday schools and all of this shit. And anyway,

Anthony:

Jeff:

Anthony:

Jeff:

know exactly what I mean. It's a powerful policy. In other words, a powerful Regina

Anthony:

mastered it if people was doing too much back then but you don't get fired. Just push the button button. I like this shit. So you guys will see as a Oh man yeah you got it you can't you can't over overdo it. Oh man was telling them earlier things like you know, maybe you have the good power you like huh? Like it's like staring at some shit like no that turns no you turn up that just power you you got that power you you got to explain it to somebody sometimes it's simple just like the

Jeff:

POSIX file culture in no way shape or form condones prostitution. I'm not

Anthony:

Jeff:

Yo. I'm out of here man, Luke Clape here said the most absurd and reckless aspirations have sometimes led to extraordinary success

Anthony:

Luke sleepier? Yes, Luke Campbell said he could get Luke Campbell fifth. Don't Stop Get it. Get it. Chick. Brown. There you go. Dude, bro. There you go. Got Luke, Luke, Frenchie and Luke from Miami. What a way to end it.
