Jeff:

Thank you for tuning in to another episode of the culture. This your boy Jeff, I'm here with my man at Happy Halloween. And let's get rid of some Kanye West dope.

Anthony:

I've been talking about for weeks now. All right.

Jeff:

We'll talk about him a little bit today might be the last time No, because I can't be spending it won't be too many episodes.

Anthony:

It won't be interesting. It will not be

Jeff:

but yeah Happy Halloween everybody shout out to our patrons to coach a crew was able to do

Anthony:

this anti semitism shouldn't go on too far. Is not carrying this fuck ship. I'm like, Alright, man, what did you lose and then Ronnie. And they complain about positions of power and so on so forth. And everybody wants to be the people of God, that don't make your special just makes you people and needs going all in in this like, it's just Alright, y'all need to do this. I noticed in inflation and recession, the whole lot of other shit going on. But y'all can't find that let's talk about a whole last World hold as people they gotta be something fucking joyous somewhere here. I'm just kind of not over just just a topic that does require a lot of my attention, but it just keeps happening.

Jeff:

What the What the Kyrie, kyrie posted some shit about the documentary, right? Because they asked him about it after the after they lost and they're now like one in five. One of the worst starts ever for the nets. And they kept the, the guy kept asking him like, Yo, are you an antiSemite? No, no, no, this he was like, Yo, next question. My next question, he was like, all I did was post a link to a documentary. I'm not saying you know, in favor of anything, I'm not supporting it.

Anthony:

Again, if I post like me reading like mine cough or any kind of racist seed Nazi kind of document documentation, or I'll put up a document documentary about Nazi Germany, right? About not that they were terrible, which they were, but like, if they were awesome. I, because I'm using my platform to do so therefore, I'm co signing it. So to put something in here is one thing that will push me off about him that he just he just won't take responsibility for like, like, I put it up and then like, it doesn't like it means a lot. Like, if you put something there you cosign it, if you put up your team, you turn this is my team. Anything you put out in social media is going to be this, especially as an athlete, it's going to be held not necessarily held against you, but to be scrutinized. Gotta be noticed, because you have millions of people in like, say he's not pulling it down. So I'm not certain what he's trying to say. But I don't think he has the brain matter or the bandwidth to actually kind of explain it properly. Because he's just not that kind of guy. He's been weird for a long time. I don't understand what all this shit is about. It's kind of stupid. Because he's always been this kind of like he see it's another one thing. He's another one. He's bigger thing here free thing. I don't understand why free thinking like racism is a part of the package. But this is what we're doing right now. So

Jeff:

they was trying to say that blacks were Jewish. Once upon a time, you know, I'm saying,

Anthony:

okay, all right. But if that's true, and that's so what does, how does that help people today? Right, like, I mean, I mean, if that's okay, just take like a me 23 And find out like your, your genetic heritage, then everybody should define it. Like, do you have any kind of Jewish blood in your system? But if you do, like, what does that mean? Why does that matter? It just doesn't like, to me, you are who you are. Disregarding your religion, you're just going to be a person. But that doesn't mean that you need to deem other people. You know what it is, it's the incessant need to be right. When you learn nothing from being right. You learn a lot more from being wrong because you know, you have a teachable moment. If you're right all the time, you're going to believe that you're omnipresent and you're basically untouchable, especially in a mental capacity kind of way but myth you got to take the time to learn and everything else like that. Just because something jazz What's your beliefs? That's just you know, just confirmation bias you ain't got to beat it but carry

Jeff:

carry also tweet a sign about Alex Jones you know, Alex Jones talking about conspiracy theories and Illuminati and secret societies and the acts that they carried out so he was like, Look, man, I don't condone anything the Alex Jones be saying except this one thing that he was talking about secret societies, and I believe it's true. So I just linked you know, I just posted the link. That's it.

Anthony:

believe is true, and no, it's true. It's two different things.

Jeff:

He actually said it like if it was a fact.

Anthony:

Right. Right. And if it is, I like I like you can believe in God and feel that it's real or you can believe in something go from there but to believe something is one thing but to know something is another but but you gotta remember this is the same this is the same conversation coming from man who believes that the earth is flat he's not he's not the arbiter of truth functional intelligence like it's like well would you go to the end of the world then you got money nigga you go to the end of the world see what the fuck happened if you fall off damn I'm going to believe you but until then no contract about for just a little bit not a lot just kind of fun now the earth is flat and maybe we had a conspiracy and your man we're just trying to prove that shit and I'm like I'm not trying to hit none of this shit until you give me some some some hole as evidence and I wasn't trying to clown to do like I'm trying to hear you out very clearly but like I you get to a particular point that the line of sight you can actually see the hurt curve like it's not quite that difficult if it was flat and I can look out of my window and see all the way across to the other side of the world. I will see just darkness because it'd be a flat plate like this and if I looked out directly like that everything would be completely pitch black it's not so but again that's kind of discovery for you. He just like conspiracy theories and things all that shit is whatever but believing something and knowing something or two different things until he realized that there's a difference you can make the same fucking boat every time he opens his mouth

Jeff:

anyway Fuck hiraman Real quick I wanted to touch on some I was watching them when they were given a rocky marathon last night right and one of them channels rocky water rocky to Rocky through rocky four right you're not allowed me some rocky as much shit all right. All right. So I was watching Part Three right? This is the one where he fights Apollo he fights Clubber Lang, Mr. T right Mr. T. Mr. T oops his ass you know, he Rocky was he was he wasn't he wasn't hungry. No more. He wasn't his right mind. Mickey his trainer was done had died and all of this right so he was all fucked up. Apollo approaches him right? He's like, Yo, I'm gonna train your wives and I'm gonna bring that I had a tiger back that you don't you haven't had since you fought me right. So apart so Apollo takes his ass to LA. It looked like it was from Compton Assam she was like some la hood right? Where he started at. Take some sort of rusty as Jim is leaks everywhere in the ceiling and she looks you know, beat up. But this is where he started out. Right? There's nothing but black brothers in there. So rocky goes with his wife and with his his brother in law Polly. And in first of all, they get out of the limo. And Paul, he's like, Yo, what the fuck are we doing here? Rock like, we don't belong here. But this is beneath us. I'm like, What the fuck is he talking about? That he sees other people looking at him, right? He's like, Yo, I don't even have my gun. That's when I started. Notice. I'm like, wait a minute. I've seen this movie a million times. I've never realized that Polly is fucking racist. So he's looking around. He's like, Y'all don't even have my gun. Like

Anthony:

the drunk brother. Yep, they go inside. super racist.

Jeff:

They go inside or the black brothers looking at him. Paul, he's like, Yo, I don't like these people. Rocky Rocky's like, you don't like these people? Paul, you maybe they don't like you either. He's like, yo, let's get out of here. Right? Let's what are we doing here? Let's get out of here. He said I don't like these people. So that was Strike two. I was like, oh shit. And then when Apollo actually starts training them and they got the music playing is like dead. Dead. Dead. Dan. He's trying to take you know he's trying to teach them footwork because Rocky has zero footwork and

Anthony:

has some soul

Jeff:

playing him some but some some some James Brown type of shit. And Polly goes, poly poly. He's like, Yo, rock can't rock can't train with his jungle gym music. He called the jungle gym music and that's when I was like, all right. He's fucking racist. I mean, it's movies from the 80s. So they probably you know, it was whatever got overlooked, that she can't fly today. So I'm gonna she was saying, Am I correct? Of

Anthony:

course not. Of course not.

Jeff:

He can't call a jungle gym music. He can't say I don't like these people. He can't walk around in the hood and say, and there's no blacks in the in the scene and he says I don't even have my gun. Yeah, I was like, Yo, this is racist.

Anthony:

It took you all these years to figure that part out?

Jeff:

Yeah. Because I wasn't really listening. Correct. I was like, oh shit. Polly racist. a bigot. He's a bigot was a drunk bigot

Anthony:

because he acts like that and rocky one. He acts like that and rocky three acts like that when he gets to Russia. Paul he was not it man, Paul, it was like Paul, it was highly problematic. And, you know, his whole family sucked because he's, he's a bigot, and his wife just doesn't believe in her husband, like, at all stay married her like, Yo, like, you can't wait like, Yo, man, you know, show some faith in me. Rock,

Jeff:

you can't win. And that's why I told you the difference when we saw the trailer for the new creed movie. And you see the scene where his wife is telling him, he's actually encouraged him to go fight to do right. And I looked at you and I was like, Yo, this bitch is the opposite of fucking Adrienne. She's encouraging her man to fight Adrian would have told him off. Like, no, you can't win, motherfucker, you suck. Don't even do it. Think about your family.

Anthony:

A lot of in real life. I think sometimes what women don't understand and what men actually get. We know as like men and women, like we know that you're gonna bitch at us from time to time. It's it's two people, two different personalities, two perspectives is going to happen that sometimes women don't understand what it means more to a man or anything else. It's not pushy. It's not any of that shit. Not at all. Is having someone in your corner that has the utmost belief in you. That if you say some shit like I'm gonna fly to the moon, she's gonna tell you you're crazy. But she wants to like well, what's the plan? My she'll still hear you out even though it might sound a little bit far fetched. And like, men get that and we really do we just don't admit it as much like that matters the world to us to realize that someone is in your corner here like they support you they have your back. So when you watch rocky that's why like, dude, like we do figure that out quick. I'm like, she loves him but she ain't got his back like that. Just doesn't believe like I mean don't say that you can't win but like just like if you know that he's in a bad way try to do whatever you can convince him like like we're well off we're fine. You don't have to do this shit no more like seriously like now the whole thing rock like you want to keep going like you don't you don't have to do like you're rich like we're fine like you have to keep getting your fucking brains beating like look where we started. He was working in like a meat shop now we got a fucking mansion. You still want to get your skull kicked in like but she just she didn't do that. You don't have negative you can't when you're not good at yada yada like I hated that part about it. I think that's what I disliked about crit so much like, he goes to the gravesite like well to sit down with him like she never really liked you dog like she loves you but she didn't like you like just like trypanosome bullshit every time you try to do something that's best for them. She never kind of got around sort of way to make you understand that you don't need to like understand that due to shit anymore. Right? But I'm happy with you. I'm happy with this. I'm happy with left that you've created cool. She just couldn't stop me from fighting and it got the brains beaten down. He was damnit homeless, penniless. Like rock went through a boy rock rock rock really did even that it was when it came out with Cree like he does all that money. He's living some dusty ass apartment

Jeff:

like straying from his son.

Anthony:

In westerleigh definitely living next to fucking Will Smith. Born and raised.

Jeff:

Anyways, hi, man. Do you got anything else before we get into this kindness shit?

Anthony:

No, go ahead. Sure. Yep. All right.

Jeff:

Because Adidas, my Adidas has dropped Kanye West. Okay. And reportedly yay loses his billionaire title after the end of the Adidas deal impacts his net worth. So he is no longer a billionaire. After Adidas cut ties with him, according to Forbes because of Forbes officially bumps EAS billionaire title revealing that he is worth 400 million without the sportswear brand. Okay. Before the now defunct deal four to 8% of all Adidas sales came from J's G A Yeezy products. Good lord. According to investment bank, Cohen the deal, the dead do cost you a $1.5 billion of his net worth. Of course, he did not reply to Forbes requests for comment. His remaining fortune comprises real estate assets cash, his music catalogue and a minor stake in the Kim Kardashian brand skims skims line. Now, there was a press release. DITA said yeas. Recent Comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous. And they violate the company's values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness. Adidas has decided to terminate the partnership, the end of product vz branded products and stop all payments today and his company's effective immediately. Adidas also acknowledged the financial losses of terminating the partnership stating a short term negative impact of 250 million for the fourth quarter. Ouch. The brand states they own all design rights and this is the key part here. They say they own all design rights to existing products and previous and new colorways under the partnership. Ouch. Kind of contract he had. Oof. And then Kanye I seen him post some shit online where he goes I lost $2 billion in one day. I am still alive. I still love you. God. I still love you. The money is not who I am. The people is who I am. What people motherfucker. What people you ain't talking about black people.

Anthony:

You want to know how I feel about all this kind of new shit?

Jeff:

Yeah. She got game over.

Anthony:

It's game over, isn't it? That Mario shit.

Jeff:

Dan, he fell, he fell down. You know,

Anthony:

Mario die, he did a little squid and thing with his hands and fall down the fucking screen. That's exactly what he did. And read that last part, again, was part of what he said about God or whatever else or so on and so forth. But I just wanted to kind of, I'm not gonna quantify the bush and try to do my best to depart.

Jeff:

He said, I lost $2 billion in one day and I am still alive. I still love you. God, I still love you. The money is not who I am. The people is who I am.

Anthony:

Okay. All right. He's lying. Because when I drink champs interview, he said, I'm the richest black man ever. Those were his words. Correct? Right. So if if it's not about the money, why say that? Why that makes zero sense to me. If it's about the people, why are you saying the thing about George Floyd? Like, the whatever he was doing? I think it happened yesterday was talking about all of this. Like he will say something didn't mean to contradict himself and say something really contradict himself. You cannot be cannot say it's not about the money. When when you Lily, one of your first things you put up when you were let back on to Instagram and Twitter. Were like, you know, I lost $2 billion, then it is about the money. That's what you're talking about. You're not talking about the family, George Ford, who you heard, you mentioned that later, which wasn't really important to the grand scheme of things. But she did mention it later. You talked about everything besides what I'm supposed to be. And I try and say you're not anti semitic, you're trying to say it has a way of humbling, you just didn't humble you. Because you're still talking. If you're humble, you should just be quiet and regroup and try to figure out where I did wrong. And then not even publicly apologized, but try to make amends to those that you did. Because if I'm George Floyd's family, fuck your apology. I'm still suing you. I don't care. Because when you allow this to go unchecked, and so on, so forth. I guess part of me is like, because I've seen the show before I know how this goes. I'm just used to it. He rants and raves and flies off the leash, says he sorry, does the same thing again and again, then people are going to blame that on like, bipolar disorder or something else that degree it's not that. It's just Well, yes, he'll keep doing the same shit. And because we won't hold him accountable. And then the moment that you decide to he wants go ahead and apologize. If people are actually complaining about everything that's going on in regards to him. None of that shit matters, right? Because you went from what three comments to a very, very high to two comments. So you went from a billion to $400 million, which is still richer than 99% of the population. It didn't hurt much. So to say like, you know, you love so much you didn't lose shit. Because you put this upon yourself. I just find his attitude towards itself to be so cavalier and so disingenuous, because he does this all the time. I hate whenever he goes to some function, the first thing we'll do is still got into it. God got nothing to do with it. This is your ideas. These are your thoughts. This is your ego. Because you're not listening to the people that's trying to help you. You're not taking the medicine that you're supposed to be just prescribed. If you're if you're you're bipolar, as you say you are you'll say your diagnosis and so on so forth. Message your creativity. But the thing is that when you creativity goes unchecked, you do racist, anti semitic things, you might want to find a proper balance. Not that I'm sick of talking about it because I really don't care about because I had this I brought this to someone's attention before. If you think about Kanye West and outside of George Bush doesn't care about Bill like people, and I want you to take his know his musical talent out of the picture. Provide me a list of the things that you can say for certain that he's done specifically for and only for the black community. And now wait, I just can't think of anything that come to mind. I've seen no protests, and you'll see Oh, Alex hats off to George for protesting about it. But everything he does is for him, like no one told him asked to run for president, but he still thinks it's a good idea. He still wants to run in a couple years, like it's a waste of money. Because better things for you to do. You don't have the people the platform to do any of this. And you think, just because people aren't going to vote for you that they don't support you know, there's someone like you and they don't believe in anything that you're talking about. It's just ramblings and no knots and to no plan and so on so forth. Your plan is what got you fucked up. Like he just said, you broke down into us contract, they own your shit. You're talking to GCC at all, they weren't all going to be going to get same Yeezys and call them the DITA spirit of some other bullshit like that. Same way, same kind of design saying whatever, but they own it, they own you, they go, you can try it out, you ain't got money to build on factories, you got no time to create anything else like that. Even even this week, you would have sketches and acted like an asshole, like I was mentioning of oh, you walk into sketches is doing what but sketches that actually the number two like I think athletic apparel company in the world,

Jeff:

which is which is hard to believe. But the thing is, he walked into the offices and their Jewish owned by the way, he walked into Jewish owned Skechers and offered to do business, they escorted his punk ass right out of that bitch,

Anthony:

you know, off the ship, you're gonna feel the offer.

Jeff:

And I think it must have taken sketch of everything in their power, not to at least entertain the idea after hearing all the type of numbers how to do deals with throwing around. But like you said, Skechers that they owe money they'd net worth is actually 6.6 billion. So a good they don't need they don't need Kanye

Anthony:

West could tell him to come downstairs. So I like security came down immediately making these Yeezys over here, making sure they man he liked it a lot, because black adds up. So quick boy, maybe glad it wasn't

Jeff:

armed. They were like, Yo, first of all, a deed is always the easy. Second of all, get the fuck out of our offices.

Anthony:

That like, I mean, it's almost like like, like a job. It's not like we're trying to get more money. It's not know what you can do, or what you can prove or what you deserve, is what you can negotiate. Because the whole thing is like, if your job is offering you this, and you start looking at other jobs, and they're offering you that, you can go to your job, like, well, I'm making this I'm making x, I feel for my service and performance and everything else I deserve why. And they were like, we can't do that. You might well, them over there, they're gonna offer me z, which is more than Y plus whatever. Now they're gonna try to work out a compromise with with the value as an employee ought to be like, well, we wish you well with stealing away, have fun going to life. He doesn't have any negotiating power, there's no room he's going to be able to walk into right now. Or someone's going to be able to agree with him. And say that we're going to give you massive sums of money to create your product here, when you were with one of the biggest footwear apparel companies in the world. And you could not accomplish that because you decided to do what's best for Kanye. And I'm not just talking about Adidas, I'm talking about Valencia talking about get you terminated those partnerships, from your actions and everything to therefore there's no room for you to negotiate. There's no room for you to walk into any room to demand anything. You burn them bridges with all of them people. And I don't know if you sit down with the leadership within the Jewish community, or speaking to Holocaust survivors are visiting the Holocaust Museum, or anything that might try to show that you're trying to learn and show attrition is going to help hoping that he didn't burn our bridge, I'm hoping that something can come over this doesn't mean that he's going to be successful, like billionaire billionaire status again. I don't believe so. Because the truth of the matter is that the people of color, I honestly think that some of them support him, but the majority of them just don't, they just don't got time for his shenanigans. His act, when you kind of think about it, in hindsight, he hasn't really done much to kind of appreciate them. The reason why it's Skechers seems kind of surprising that it is is because they make a lot of shoes for very low price and they're constantly selling them, like Skechers all like fire at hospitals. And nobody walking around with Jordan. They want something cheap, comfortable and accessible. And Skechers is that kids love them. Adults love them. Oh, it's a bunch of them. So understand his idea of trying to walk into that building and see if that can be accomplished but that's not going to be accomplished. Not in this climate, not the way that you're acting I'm hoping that you're still thinking. Because right now, I think the smart would seem like you're just apologizing to get back in good graces. But it's not necessarily sincere. And that apology that he did didn't sound sincere. So it's not really shocking.

Jeff:

Man, listen. And then he gets dropped by Adidas and then a bunch of other companies followed. You can go online and see the whole list of companies your goodwill, I just read that goodwill wants nothing to do with Can you imagine going into goodwill with some old used as easy and they telling you like, Nah, we don't want these. It's trash to trash for us.

Anthony:

Like, bro, we had, we had to try to give away shit that a lower price to help people in need. We say you don't need that shit. I get it. No, I actually understand it from Goodwill, because people are gonna go in there like people didn't like bring in like easy if people want to, like go to a bunch of Goodwill stores and see if they have easy to buy them for cheap. Because no matter how much you can go in the resale market. So understand them not wanting to deal with that, because that's not the purpose of their campaign. It's not to you got to look around for deals for sneakers and shit like that. It's really to help other people that don't have the means and ways to accomplish the things they want to do. And that you're here to assist them in a way. If sneakers ain't gonna help, ain't gonna help. Well, in the fucked up person, I'm gonna help Kanye because he didn't get no profit from that shit. So it was like it's a lose lose all the way.

Jeff:

It's not her they got I heard they got the bootleg slip ons and Marshalls for $20. I'm gonna go over and check them out to see if they're as comfortable as the actual Yeezys. Because if they are, I might get me a pair.

Anthony:

I wouldn't surprise me if they do. Like I said, Adidas has a stock and they gonna have to sell it and get rid of it. So it was gonna be fine. It's just I'm trying to understand what he's doing here. Like, I'm lost a bit. I'm confused. I don't understand. Like you're doing this. But for what? Now people? I think that's the stupidity of like human beings, they always think like, no, it's a bigger plan, you just don't see No, yo ass just don't see, you're trying to create something in your mind thinking that it's gonna be something bigger like this something is a deeper meaning behind this. But it's a it's a conspiracy theorists thing. They think is more than what it is. Do I believe personally that the Illuminati exists? Yes. Do I care? No. Does it affect me in my day to day life? Quite possibly, but not enough where I'm going to take my time and hours out of my life, to research this and look at things and so on and so forth to think that it's going to make real difference, or is going to cause me to change the world? Some of the bullshit like that, no, no, I don't have the time to adjust for that. The things that I would like to do, that people that I care about, and there's a life that I want to live, there's some greater power, over exerting its influence on me. I still gotta live within that system can't crack that system, and I'm going to try to break it is what it is. But for us to believe that all of a sudden what he's doing means that there's a greater plan a grift. But the common thing that I see is like, like Kanye got out of these contracts, with with no with no penalty, nothing else like that. owing no money. You know, you know, that man's genius. He lost money. He didn't make any money. And the people that he want to do business with don't want to do business with him. So please explain to me how this was a genius move. It's not it's actually quite self destructive. I get confused by the stupidity in the midst thoughts of people like I don't really think about the sheet clearly, like there's no greater thing. Like sometimes you gotta see it for what it is and what it is that that man fuck that up. He kept one of antecedents, anti Semite thing, it would have been his thing. If a Kanye would have just said what he said about anti Semite anti semitism. And just 24 hours later, like I was bugging the fuck out. I was trippin, I apologize. It might have been cool. They probably would have let that slide. But the fact that he went on to like a whole tour about it going from place to place talking about it for a week in some change. And they like now we can do business with you. So the funny thing is that could we started off with Korea? Like, don't be surprised the same thing happens to him. I'm gonna say like, often his NBA career is going to be over. But don't be shocked if Austin like people to stop fucking with him if he keeps this going. So

Jeff:

you're his sneaker brand, his sneaker brand might be in jeopardy, too.

Anthony:

Yeah, because I think Nike already dropped him from before. But I think he right. Yeah. Because because they dropped them last year. Yeah, they did. So now it's

Jeff:

like, like, you can't promote our shoes if you don't even play. You got to be on the core to promote our shit.

Anthony:

And the whole thing. Like I understand like people of color sandwich bind together, make our own business and stuff like that. Even if that's an even if that's true. Like let's say that we've become a black owned sneaker company that was able to make like athletic shoes that comfortable. People like and sell lots of right? Even if that's the case of that, so like, Would you really want this person being a brand ambassador to this when they're kind of saying these things because it's If it's not hurting them, per se, but certain goals bottom line, if they keep saying, if they keep doing this, then people are not fucking with y'all, then you're gonna have to let them go. Like I understand that something's a personal but this is business you cannot do that. And that's the kind you should kind of know that that's the bad part.

Jeff:

And that's one of the reasons why Michael Jordan was so valuable to Nike, because not only was he the best player on the court every day, but he never said shit, you got him saying he kept his mouth shut on all topics, social issues, which, you know, obviously, a lot of a lot of folks, you know, looked down upon him because of that. But he never said anything to jeopardize his status to make Nike or anybody look bad. You know what I mean? He never spoke up political issues, nothing. So he was like the perfect model example of a brand of a Nike brand ambassador, you know what I mean? made them a lot of money. Besides his gambling really stayed out of controversy, and never said anything to make them look foolish.

Anthony:

It's a personal conduct. Remember, Tiger was like that, you find that he crashed his fucking car, and you basically go to stick all over the place. Tiger was a perfect example. Shining, gleaning smiling whatever. He calls him shiver that Catholica Blasian shit. But that just bypass rattled by because Sunday's Tiger was in the hunt. Everybody was watching. I never own a Tiger Woods piece of anything in my fucking life. But he was on every magazine. He's been every kind of advertisement so as a follow up, because he's Tiger fucking woods. Now at the moment, He's slipping out of that pocket. moment he started drinking. And the moment he started mark is womanizing, it all falls apart. It's like, you know, it is like all these nuggets of sloppy now. Like, it wasn't like function is no function function forever. But the fact that that like they just so lazy about it and just like just do it willy nilly, and like not thinking that through? What to get jammed up like this all the fucking time. Any special kind of special or maybe Mike special would just like literally, Mike understood how the game went, like, look, my views is my views. I gotta share with y'all because I'm an athlete. And this is all I do. He stuck to that company line to the death and I was always so proud of him. Because that malfunction had been nobody Romani, just a great athlete, he treated and acted. So it wasn't trying to speak out on social issues. He might have done things in the background, donate to this cause and so on so forth. I have no idea. Just making assumptions. We never spoke on it. Because it's not my place. My place is an athlete, who watch me perform as an athlete, you don't really care about what I'm thinking or what I'm doing. I guess all these guys because they're athletes now feel that they need to have something to say they need to have a platform. They feel that there are important to make sure like, I played basketball for this team. I played baseball for them and a football for this one. So I think that you know, this is the right way because I am who I am. You should listen. That's not true. Everybody is entitled to an opinion. You make certain ones people may agree with you, like other ones, people may not you see what kind of move that he made a bunch of wrong decisions with a lot of people that a lot of people don't disagree with, and and outside of entertainment, and see how much it's costing him. Crime is crocodile tears and he has been humbled to some other shit. You have not you're just trying to get your way back into the system. The one you so you know, boringly like, hate. You hate the system, but you want to be a part of it so bad. So, you know, good for you, bro. I'm gonna time for you. We're gonna see you're gonna pick you up for after this because I don't know who left maybe kids and dogs but I'm off. Everybody wants

Jeff:

to be too woke now everybody's trying to be woke nowadays, you know, I'm saying. But the thing is, too is I see a lot of people defending Kanye. Like, I saw a whole narrative about people saying like, Oh, he wanted that's what he wanted is to get off of that Adidas deal because he felt he was trapped. Now he's free now he can go and make his money and not have to split with nobody really? Does he have factories, though, that make these shoes. You know, I'm saying apparently he doesn't even own the design. So now he's gonna make his own other design guy factories. Now he got employees, they gotta worry about how's he gonna pull this off?

Anthony:

You know, you can't if they're gonna sit through as I said, you make the same point I made before people talking about you know, no, he plan is not he didn't know. He had a disagreement with a company. We have disagreement with our employees all the time. We have issues with our bosses, we have conversation with them. We have meetings we have whatever. But we try to find a way forward and and path through. We don't just up and quit every job we get because there's someone that we don't like, we work with motherfuckers we don't like every single day. They don't change it. Now, he's working with not just Adidas with these companies. He was just at a Balenciaga show. He was just doing a GAAP thing so and so forth, making all these demands and so on so forth, that he just not in the power to do y'all gonna build me a factory. I think I believe shit. You're gonna do this job and we ain't gonna do nothing. You are a partner. You are not an owner. Period. Like Jay Z is going through something. I think what secret comes out with Seagram. The way to call a company because he wants to go and books on do on get on do set the suit figure out like, how does going on. But the difference with that is that he's a 50% owner and do say he's not a partner, you're not an investor, I own half of this shit, you guys only other half. So as business partners, I think we should go and open seven figures out that whole thing and they may have been like, Well fuck that we're gonna go ahead and buy you out. Jay, we'll be okay with that. Because like I said he had that before. So Rockdale and like I said, he had the stock Carter's like, he finds a way to make away because he's part of that culture. They're gonna say Kanye is making that he's, he's acting like an owner. But he's really just barely a partner. Like, day to day like, there was no hesitation, even if he says, we're going to lose $250 million. In the short term. They're like, we're just going to burst to shut off. Like, you know how powerful you got to beat and say, like, I'm gonna lose a quarter of a billion dollars just in a short term like, but it won't cripple us, like, we're still going to move forward. If I lost 20 500,000 More, man, I fuckin throw up 20 $50 million. And they just come on. Now, this is what you're dealing with. And you don't know how to work within a system, he wants to change it. Sometimes it's not the best course of action, sometimes what you really got to do is just plant seeds within it, and let it sprout and let it grow within it. But you can't always understand every operation again. You ain't got no factories, you ain't got no workers who ain't got no people, you ain't got to support you got no backing, tell the bank just kick you out. What you're gonna do? Tell me what you're gonna do. And I'm interested to see what what's the next step, but I have no idea what's going to be. But it definitely gonna be interesting.

Jeff:

I saw a video of Russell Simmons supporting Kanye. He wasn't supporting, like, what Kanye had said. But he was basically saying you know that Kanye is gonna be alright, that it was a good thing that he's you know, getting up from under Adidas and all of this. And he was explaining why. Why it was a good you know why it's a good thing for Kanye and whatever, whatever. Because now he's free to do you know, what he wants to do? And all of this. So the question, and this is what I'm gonna name this episode is Kanye West crazy. Because I don't think he's crazy. I think he has reached a Trump level ungodly status, where he thinks he can do and say, whatever he wants, and his money, his fame, and his followers and his supporters. You know, will afford him the ability to, you know, to get away with that to go unchecked. So, to me, it's not crazy. It's, it's a complex, like at this point, you know, you reach a certain level of certain status. And you have a such a following where you feel like, you're above everything now. You know, I mean, you can get away with saying whatever the fuck you want type of shares, like some Trump shit.

Anthony:

Get Away With Murder? Yeah.

Jeff:

Is he bipolar? I don't know, maybe. Probably. You know what I'm saying. And bipolar disorder, you know, manifests themselves in many different ways. You could snap on somebody for a few minutes for a few hours, even for a few days. You know, me, you cannot be yourself. But at this point, like, this is going on how long now? All of 2022 Maybe most of 2021. This is going on for years. Now. He's He's acting a little suspect.

Anthony:

But like I said, being bipolar does not make it symmetrical. Right. Jeff Joyce,

Jeff:

and we were saying before we were like always the Kardashians, they did some to him. They broke up a divorce. He hasn't been with this woman for the longest now. So we can't even use the Kardashians no more as an excuse.

Anthony:

shouldn't ever do so in the first place. Can't blame some parents for your fuck ups. You've been like this. You've kind of just before Kim you've been like this when he was with the ball hit growing. Number rose. Like it was always like this you can buy this during the break was me hop us on stage and say Beyonce degrees out like, that's not your place. It's not just spaces. What'd you do?

Jeff:

He was alive TV talking about Bush hates black people.

Anthony:

And that was the most empowering moment of black people because you know, we felt and that was very honest thing he ever said about in the Ghana community because what you saw was going on in New Orleans at the time like it's that makes an absolute amount of sense. Like they went to why has it taken so long to get like resources and everything else to these people who cities underwater. And he does it right. And he works with his hurt. It's hurricanes of Florida all the time. Shit blow through FEMA next day, two days to get there. days to get to New Orleans. Like come on now. So I get it. So my thinking is crazy. No. I don't even think he's misguided. I think he is exactly who he is. I think he He just a megalomaniacal narcissist who just cannot help himself from being the way he is. And he just chooses not to accept the help that he desperately needs. He doesn't understand that the things that you do the words that you have, there's a consequence of the actions that you do. Again, I always tell people, I did try to repeat it actually. But I always say this, the word consequences, it has a negative pall over but it's not a negative word. It's just, you know, what happens after an action. If you want to lose weight, and you eat healthier, and you exercise more, you should lose weight, that's a consequence of vet. It not a negative, it just how it's just the reaction to the action. And everything is him is over the top is boisterous, it becomes too big. And it's a thing and it's just hard to deal with, from time to time, going back and forth with Kanye about this because he just a man who doesn't quite grasp that as a person in a position of power, that your words mean a lot. I mean, they may even smallest, just worse and powerful people matter and power kind of differences. The words from your parents matter more than anyone else in the world. And the world from a guy who has that kind of influence and those kind of things does have influence. Like I said, even though his people have dropped in the sense of regarding him and follow him all of a sudden now they're more like, you know, he's been supported by like, Neo Nazis and no extreme leftist. It's strange. He doesn't get it like you should stop doing these things. If you want that kind of support. You don't want that kind of support in life and that's what you had and you can't realize what you're doing. It just means that it's all feeding your ego to you with all fun and games but not to those people that has hurt

Jeff:

a man but you're Stephen Hawking said one of the basic rules of the universe is that nothing is perfect. Thank you for tuning in one more time. The coach had that one please support the show. See y'all next week. Peace, and fuck Kanye
