Y'all, this is the math I wish someone had shown me years earlier.
At a typical hourly rate, hitting $40,000 means billing 133 hours of your life. More than three full work weeks for a single income goal. Now picture that same $40,000 as one value-based engagement. One client. One package. A fraction of the time.
Same income. Completely different life.
Most CPAs I talk to have never seen it laid out this way. They're so deep in the hourly grind that the alternative doesn't feel real yet. It is. And once you see it on paper it's hard to go back to thinking about your work the old way.
I broke the whole framework down in my book. Link in the description if y'all want to see exactly how it works.
