Travis Mills & Austin Theriault successful at Oxford 250!
FORT KENT/MOUNT VERNON, Maine -- Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills and former NASCAR driver/Fort Kent native Austin Theriault teamed up for this weekend's Oxford 250 with the goal of raising funds to support recalibrated post-911 veterans -- and the effort was a great success.

The final amount, which will run in the tens of thousands of dollars raised, will be announced soon, so stay tuned!

Travis Mills, Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant, said:

"I can't say enough about this collaboration with Austin and his team," said U.S. Army SSG (Ret.) Travis Mills. "We've been working together now for several years and as always, he gives 110 percent when it comes to supporting post-911 recalibrated veterans and their families."

"Austin is an incredible race car driver and a great human being for supporting our nation's heroes."

Austin Theriault, Former NASCAR Cup Series Driver, said:

"Motorsports are one of the great American traditions and to be able to compete for a living has been such a blessing. Teaming up with Travis and Bar Harbor Bank on this successful fundraising effort will give post-911 veterans access to more resources and programming from one of Maine's true gems, the Travis Mills Foundation. Maine has given me so many opportunities, I'm beyond proud to be from here, and it's so fantastic that this great state is going to be shared with those who deserve our assistance the most."

The Maine duo previously worked together in 2019 on a similar effort. For this year's race, Theriault and Mills also joined forces with Bar Harbor Bank & Trust.

The team worked together to raise funds for the Travis Mills Foundation, which supports recalibrated veterans and their families through programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical & emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, & provide well-deserved rest & relaxation.

Even though the race is over, Mainers can still support the fundraising effort, which goes entirely to the Travis Mills Foundation, at this link.
